: I had arrived safe.... the boat pulled up on the shores away
from The docks.... and The men jumped out tugging The ship up to
The shore ..... and began to chop at The Branches and Bushes to
Cover The small vessel as they did That I removed all the Goods
.. The Furs that held all the men’s goods and weapons..... Then
one by one I removed The shields and Placed them in the
sands.... By Now I had a Pile Of things ready to be taken in to
the forests....There were 4 of us 2 hunters ol Josh and
myself....
"Done"
one of the Hunters Called and they moved Then over to gather the
furs that Had been laid out on the sands.....They collected The
rolled furs and There weapons There shields and anything else
they could carry.....I picked up what was Mine Strapping The
furs to My back and securing Them with the Strap....across my
Chest...
.I stood 5ft 7 in height, My build was muscular, I wore a tunic
of black Leather,and Black Leathers a leather belt circled my
body from right shoulder to left hip and the Buckle secured My
Quiver to My back, It held 30 arrows which protruded above my
right shoulder so I could notch them easily in one fluid
movement .....On the left of the waist belt I had leather
strips. A double edged quiva sheathed on the right side of the
small of my back, just above My ass, On My hip was sheathed a 9
" double edged blade.... one worn by the wagon People ... My
hair pulled back loosely and pinned.... On My belt was Three
darts the ends were coated in capture scent and they were Capped
so they could Not prick me..the blow tube was slid through a
small loop on my belt..I held the bow in my left hand ,

- Within the City -
Is on one of the dirt paths within the city
says to ALL: We made Our Way along The dirt Track moving along
side the Water ... the trail winding away from the Bank and then
Back to run so close you could see the fish jumping... Hunter
one led Ol Josh Then me and The 2nd Hunter followed.. My
thoughts were on Nothing... I watched and Listened but for Now
it was Not so Bad..... we were quiet away s from the Forests....

: Wasn’t long and we made it to The tree line of The forest...
We had Not come across any others .. We managed to pass The city
and Moved in the direction of The waterfall... it was cool But
The canopy of the trees managed to keep the sun out .....I
stopped a minute and Looked up to just to see how High theses
trees were ... No where as tall as in Ukungu...I chuckled to
Myself thinking worthless would Love to be here with me ...The
Hunter nudged me in between the shoulder blades ..I turned and
gave him a Look and Moved On after ol Josh who was now ahead of
me quiet a distance....

: Ol Josh Looked Back to see why I had not been nagging Him.. I
smiled and waved him to keep going We had a Long way to go...
and I would Catch up.... The hunter stayed right behind me... I
stepped to the side so he could pass... But he just glared at
Me... I smiled and nodded...
"it is fine"
he grumbled at me and pointed.....
I chuckled and Moved off taking Bigger steps so I would soon
catch up to Josh

says to ALL: you could hear the rumble of the water fall.. and
the path opened making it easier Now we could all walk ….spread
out some... and I didn't feel Like That Man was Breathing down
My Neck....was then That we Moved through the Bushes to see The
water... it was clear and fresh I could smell The chill That
came Off the water... The rumble of The water as it ran the Edge
of the falls and Hit The water below was amazing I smiled ...
and Placed My bow against a tree Bending on one Knee Cupping My
hands and gathering water as I sipped it slow... again and
again... Then washed My face.. and stood... Looking Over to the
falls .. and above... Thinking of My Ukungu and the good times I
had spent in such a Place Just Like This...

says to ALL: The men Left Me There and Moved off to Make Camp...
as I removed the Quiver and Furs from My Back.... it was Not
long and they were gone....Ol Josh Knew me well and would Keep
The Hunters In the camp.. so I could enjoy a swim... and with
That I moved to a sheltered spot ... within The Bushes and
removed My leathers and tunic Placing them on One of the rocks
.. and Moved in to the water.... it was Hot... and We had walked
Most of the Day...the water was cool on My flesh I closed My
eyes as I sank down My body Now totally covered in the water and
I ducked my head down under the water and allowed the water to
run Over My Face.....I drank some More of the water.. and ran my
fingers through My Hair

says to ALL: I just remained there Under the chill of The
water.....My eyes closed as I took in the sounds of the water
Fall.... the rumble was Loud... and that was all I could
hear....if I could fall asleep I would... I looked up to see if
any were about None were so I swam out some and Just enjoyed
this time to Myself....I shook My head Like some Urthern dog..
and Laughed at all the ripples I managed to spread over the
surface Just from doing this........I wiped my fingers over My
eyes so I could see better....and Just Relaxed In the water...
In the silence ...in The warmth of The sun

says to ALL: I swam back to the Bank and got Out from the waters
Checking to Make sure None were about... and Gripped my tunic...
slipping it over My wet body and Then Moved to sit On One of the
huge boulders... and Sat.....leaning back a Little and Began
running My fingers through My hair making sure to fix the
knots,,,, I then Reached for My leathers and pulled Them on...
securing The tie... then tugging The tunic down to cover
them.... I slipped on My boots..... and Sat Back down Just
getting some More deep Breaths before I went to find Ol Josh and
The Hunters

says to ALL: I stood and Moved closer to The edge Of The Water
and bent to Gather up My bundle of Fur... as I bent I looked
Over to see a shadow Move over The Ground... I held My breath
and watched... I saw My Bow Leaning against The Tree My arrows
further away With My blades ...was Then I saw The movement That
of The Larl..... I remained silent and still... and watched
Her.... she had not smelt me yet...But I knew It would Not be
long....I looked down at my feet... and looked about the Ground
to see what I was standing on...thank gawd it was sandy ground..
and very few leaves and twigs....I looked up again slow.. to see
the Beast drink from The Water... I could hear Her lapping at
the water and I slowly moved back... I could Not Reach any
weapon...and I should Not make any sound at

Move...But It was either stay and get attacked or do My best to
get away Now....
The sounds of a wild animal screaming in pain is heard from the

: The silence was deafening the lapping Of the water was all
That I could hear...whilst I heard that I was safe....My body
Moved slow to the Waters edge....while I looked towards The
Beast and Then My Bow and arrows..That were to far from me for
Me to Even try to get to...My only escape would be The water and
I would have to Make sure I was Not seen nor heard for They were
good swimmers as well....I watched The Beast...My eyes never
Left it.... as I backed slow into the Water....My boots filling
with water... was then I saw them...Oh No I thought as I became
eye to eye with two small black panther’s They hissed and and
growled the fur stood up straight as they ran forward and began
to Hisss and Strike at me small claws outstretched slapping at
my leathers there claws Tearing them and cutting My
flesh.... I moved Back slower removing the Blow tube from my
belt the water slowly covering My body....I had no time to check
Anything as I placed The tube in my mouth and slid under the
Water...always from the small Beasts
The Feline moved from where she was her body rolled in a fluid
motion through the cover of The bushes...till she made it to
where her cubs stood slapping at the water....Her body length
would have been between 1.5 and 1.9m in length her tail that of
another 49 cms... her shoulder height also huge measuring
between 55-60 cms in height...weight approximately 100 kgs...Her
compact and well muscled body stood still as it looked around
the area sniffing then Moving towards the wee babies. she had
short stocky limbs which enables it to be adept at climbing,
swimming and crouching. Her head strong and her extremely
powerful jaw opened but nothing came out.... The babies
continued to slap at the water as The Mother tried to settle
them she Must have sensed There concerns and with Luck she would
think it was fish That Had caught her babies attention.

says to ALL: There was Little I could do But Move under the
water and hope My feet could touch the bottom... I was heavy in
Leather... my head tilted back as The Tube poked up through the
surface of the water.....Lots of twigs and Reeds surrounded me
But I would Need to Move further away for I had No Idea if the
small beasts had cut me.. and I didn’t need the mother smelling
the scent of blood... with That I took in some air and removed
the tube and swum under the water as far as I could Holding My
Breath...out towards the waters that crashed down from the water
fall... My lungs began to Burn... as I came to The surface and
sucked in some Air.... slowly Lifting My head free from the
water to look over and see the panthers at play with her cubs

says to ALL: I moved back against The bank on the opposite side
of The lake... I could still see the Beast from where I was and
Knew it would be sooner then later that she would smell Me as
soon as The wind changed and moved in her direction for Now I
would remain here .. and hope Ol Josh would Come Searching..But
Find Me Not The Beast....it was Just on dusk and slowly the
Light was fading... I was cold and could not stay In the water
much Longer....still the three Beast played and rolled in the
brush I had hidden in.....then as quick as they came they were
gone... I shivered and trembled with the cold... Then slowly
Moved My way up and Onto the rocks to the Right side of The
water Fall... I crawled slow until I passed The Moss... and then
stood....Breathing slow and Rubbing Either arm to get My
circulation moving once again... I looked about .... I knew
where I needed to be... and it was off to The left.... Now I
just had to Find my way before it got to dark.... and That Was
going to happen.... I let out a whistle........ One after
another The sound that The Birds On Dusk did In Ukungu... I knew
There would be none of this species here BUT I also knew Ol Josh
knew That call

says to ALL: I Looked down at my Leathers they had been slashed
through... I could Not tell If I had been cut. It was to dark..
But I needed to see Last I wanted was My scent of blood Bringing
any Others.... I sat down and tugged at The Leg of my leathers
slipping My boot off.. to find The boot red with Blood... when I
pulled the Leathers Up I had razor sharp cuts... all down my
shin.... there was not much Meat There but the cuts were deep
and bled ...the water would Not have helped.....I had Nothing
with me but I had the strapping of leather that still Hung from
my Belt.... I slipped on My boot and Made My Way towards the
Other side of The waterfall.... I pushed past the Brush and Made
my way along The Back of the falls...It was darker then Night In
there as My hand ran the wall and I left it to guide me past...
I could Not see...I was cold.... and all I knew was I needed to
Be on the Other side of The Falls....
The 2 hunters were sitting at the camp site Ol Josh was
beginning to wonder where I was... and The Hunters were
threatening to shackle me On My return and could not Really give
a ****... they were paid to kill the larl Not worry on a stupid
woman....
Ol Josh suddenly stopped you could see he listened His Mind
Moving in circles now.. and then again The sound echoed threw
the trees...It was her.... But where was she.. He had no clue...
he remained still and gathered His Ax and Looked to the
Hunters....."she is in trouble"
With That They stood and gathered there weapons... They May have
hated me.. But I was good for some coin if they Managed to save
this poor useless women.....with That Ol Josh motioned for them
to move off in the direction of The falls.....

says to ALL: I could not control My shivering I did my best to
Rub myself down.... as I Moved slow the cold was unbelievable
behind The curtain of water... the sound deafening.... it seemed
Like ages and finally I ran in to More Brush... I Had Made it
and only had fallen once....it seemed to take for ever... My Ear
drums felt like they would bust and it wasn't till I was clear
of The strong sound that I realised how loud it had been..... My
ears still held That thunderous sound... and I Moved to the Bush
Gripping the Branches until I had gotten down from The Rocks
that surrounded The entrance to where I had just
walked....finally I was back on the Forest ground and it was
Then I heard That whistle,,, I was shaking and Moved My fingers
to My lips and tried to Blow but I shivered even More again and
again I tried then finally The sound escaped My lips and the
whistle Echoed from blue Lips

says to ALL: Was then I felt this almighty shove In between my
shoulder blades pushing me to The ground with a huge Thud... My
face then chest smashing to the forest Floor I could not Breath
the wind had Been Knocked out of me as My chest Hit the ground
and My head bounced as I skidded Over the dirt... I didn't
scream I couldn't The wind had Knocked any Breath from me and
forced any chance of me screaming out in one huge force... I lay
helpless as I smelt The heat off The beast that stood Over
me.....I opened My eyes to see Huge paws on either side of My
head and the hot Breath blowing down over my neck.... Drips of
drool ran down my neck....as I felt The Huff and saw The Steam
blowing from his Huge Mouth ... I remained still doing My best
to not Moan with The Pain.....doing My best not to Grasp for The
breath I needed to have my lungs fill again and work for me...
everything slowed down...My back was stinging with Pain... I
could feel the warmth of This Beast again I made sure I didn’t
move....
The Beast had been stalking me rather then chase me .... ambush
was his go.... he had picked up My scent and moved slow behind
me steps long ...he was Low to the ground and with the dark
falling fast His body was camouflaged ...His Beady eyes fixed on
the target of his Kill.... slowly he stalked and pouncing from
cover onto His Prey Moving That Huge Paw down The back of my
tunic....ripping the leather and My flesh like razors
through flesh

says to ALL: I struggled with trying to gain Breath....I could
feel The sting and The Heat of Blood filling The side of My
body... the Beast Licked in The air then bent to take a Bite...
I wanted to fight But I could breath let alone do anything......
Ol Josh moved round towards The water fall...The hunters Moved
with Him But with a Distance between... Ol Josh Knew which
direction The whistle Came from and Motioned to the
Hunters.....It was still and quiet Then a Deep sickening Growl
came from just in front of Them.... The Beast had found its
target and The sound of an animal being Pushed to the Ground was
sickening...The Thud.... The Moans.... and was then they saw who
the animal was.....
Nyah
The two Hunters move alongside one another One Moved to His Knee
Plucking an arrow from His quiver and Knocked it taking aim and
set fire to The Beasts Throat...making a hit the arrow claiming
its target and travelling through The thick neck to come out the
other side...Now wedged firmly .. the Other Hunter plucked an
arrow and knocked his arrow taking aim and fired... the second
arrow Hitting straight under the chin as The Beast Lifted His
head to let out a Roar....Blood spewing from the Beasts neck ...
ol Josh took off running seeing Nyah s limp body tucked under
the Beast... and ran with all His force to smash in to the side
of The Beast.... Knocking it off Nyah and rolling with the
Beast.... the Hunters ran forward Arrow Knocked and aim to the
animal as Ol Josh scampered to his Feet.... The beast
dead....and he turned to see what Nyah s fate was....
she was sprayed in blood her hair now red ...from what her blood
or That of the panthers he Knelt down to see her limp and passed
out or dead he was Not sure... her tunic torn and Claw marks
formed Deep Tears Over her Back she lay face down In the dirt …
He looked along Her body checking her over first....as
he ripped the Leather from her Back to see what Had been done...
then Gently rolled her Over and began to touch her face gently
tapping her and Leaning to Listen for any sign of Life....
The Hunter removed His Knife and slit The Beasts throat while
the 2nd hunter dug a hole so The beast could bleed out... and he
then began to cover it digging another deeper Then The
first......
she was cold her flesh colder then death and wet.... he was not
sure What had happened but Nyah Was chilled from the water and
Needed to be by a fire....Ol Josh unsure of any other injury
Picked her up throwing h
er over His shoulder he could Not carry her her back torn open

saysto ALL: I wasn’t so sure if I was alive or dead but I didn’t
move I didn’t breathe.. I could hear all this happening about me
but I was sure it was Not happening was some Bad Dream That
tortured me for now...Like a Dream I didn't wake But continued
In the deep dark Depths of The what ever.... I didn't hear
anything feel anything Just buried my face in to the tunic of
some Wild Beast... I had No idea Ol Josh had me for all I knew I
was dead and on My way to COD,,,,
The Hunters worked on skinning the Panther.. then they chopped
the animal in to large bit and kept them for bait... They rolled
the fur and would work on That Later But when done and all the
mess had been covered they two led there way Back to the
Camp....stashing The Meat away from the camp....
Ol Josh finally made it to camp and Lay Ny down On His Furs....
Then cut Back The tunic she wore to Look over The Damage down By
the claw he gathered her Furs and covered her to get her warm
and Messed through her belongings till he found a Med Kit... he
knew she had one she always did.....For now she was passed out..
he had no worries on her jumping to fight him off.. she was in
far to Much damage for that...he cut off her tunic till she wore
Nothing but the fur and opened the kit... tugging on the rep
cloth and His own water... and slowly cleaned the area where the
claw had ripped her flesh to bits

says to ALL: The Hunters returned... and Ol Josh called asking
them to assist with Ny's care... they may have been Hunters But
They had souls and Moved on Over ….one rolled her to her side so
Ol Josh could look over her body to see if There had been any
other wounds... was then he found The cuts to her shin... He Cut
at he leathers till they were opened down her side so he could
access The area where The cuts were the Deepest......he needed
help he could not do This alone... He Took one of the bandages
and some gauze Pressing hard to try and stop the Bleeding then
Wrapped The Bandage firmly round the shin...the Cuts were deep
But she was lucky it was On the shin.... he secured The Bandage
then moved to her other leg cutting the Leathers But the claws
had not reached the skin on That leg although The leathers were
shredded..These could be done Later The Bleeding
from her Back needed to stop and he would have to
have That done Now... The Hunter Then rolled that woman
Over again just enough to show Ol Josh her Back.....
"the bleeding Needs to be stopped Josh....she will bleed out
other wise...." ol Josh nodded and Looked to The second
hunter.....
"You have sewn someone up before?" The Hunter stood and Moved On
Over as josh sorted the needle and cat gut thread... Josh could
not do it ....His Hands shook to Much .. he was older then
most.....and With That nothing More was said as the hunter moved
to begin work on The W omens back...Ol Josh held the light and
passed him the Thread and needles when needed..... wiping the
Blood up as he went
I was off in some other place I had no idea what where I just
slept.....My body felt so Light ...but I didn’t care I just
remained still wondering when I would be eaten or die....
the stitches were done fast there was no time to Make her look
anything But scared.... she had been opened up by a Claw of a
Larl the loss of Blood and the shock would probably kill her
anyway if not well infection would
The Hunter worked On the next Cut....it ran from her right
shoulder along the shape of her rib Cage and to her left side
The deeper laceration were deeper and worst on h who marked
her....Now she would Wear This....a badge from a Beast....He
would buy the pelt for him even if the worst happened he would
keep it ....

says to ALL: The Hunter worked On the next Cut....it ran from
her right shoulder along the shape of her rib Cage and to her
left side The deeper laceration were deeper and worst on her
shoulder and down to her waist the cut was Probably in no need
of stitches... by the second cut he had lost count and Ol Josh
had a pile of bloodied rep clothes... stich after stich her back
seemed to Look better even though she was marked terribly it
didnt matter to have her sewn was for the best....Ol Josh passed
yet another needle and gut so the hunter could continue... The
hunter who sat and held the women he dabbed water to her lips..
he didnt know if she was tasting it but he thought it to be
something she may need..... her breathing slow But she had
stopped shivering... she was warming up and didn't feel like
some frozen bosk leg..... Ol Josh ran His hand Over his forehead
as he watched this women get stitched Up... he saw The scares
she had that no one knew of...But he and the One who marked
her....Now she would Wear This....a badge from a Beast....He
would buy the pelt for him even if the worst happened he would
keep it .....
She was limp Like some rag Doll and the Four deep scratches now
were sewn up... apart from the swelling and the horrible
stitches.... Ol Josh coated the scars with salve... then wrapped
her tightly binding her upper body with bandages.. and secured
it .... Then they lay her down By the fires... tugging the furs
over her and making sure she was warm... Time was what they
needed Now and the hardest time was going to be this night....
see if she woke..... Ol Josh would Stay and watch Over Nyah
while One of the Hunters took first watch over the camp... the
second Hunter would sleep

now.... it was easier for her to be Treated.... but she also had
on her leathers well someones They were not hers her own had
been cut off... she ran her hand over them ... "ol Josh ... they
were his... and they were far to Big on her... But they did...
her Body was still sore but This had been the longest she has
stayed up... and was handling it well for now.... but knew when
she lay down it was going to be for a good long sleep.....Noone
was about...it was quiet here in Laura today

says to ALL: I could Not streach for when i did it pulled on the
work That Had been done on my Back.... the stitches were still
in My back.... and the salve worked well to hide the Pain some
But didn't stop it.... plus I was one who liked to Know if i was
healing and having No feelings Made it a false result on what
was Happening with My Back .....
I watched the home from the seat in the garden and stretched my
leg some.... I tried to stand but I could Not seem to get the
strength to stand .....I hated feeling Useless.....I was better
Then this......News had come from Ol Josh That there was a
change over in The Home of The Ax....I was saddened to Hear
this....

Inside the medical cabin
says to ALL: I was sitting on the cot in the Medical room.. it
was so sterile here and quiet... I had not seen anyone In
days... not that I cared so much i did enjoy my own solitude...
the girl bought over clean Bandages and reached up to Attend to
the stitches on my shin... as she unwound the bandage I
watched... there was only the slightest blush of red ... it
looked good and infection had not become a problem.... the girl
cleaned the wound with warm water....
I recalled the small cub swiping at my shin and I felt the cut
of my flesh in my thoughts...... the lass tugged on One of the
stiches and spoke soft....
" soon Mistress they will be taken out... you will have a
scar...but it will fade in time *s" she smiled up at me.. then
continued to add salve to the wound.... then Moved to Gather
some clean bandages and strapped my leg slow.... I was still so
weak and I hated That I was.... the lass then finished and
tidied the old bandages throwing them to the side in a pile...
she would get rid of them soon enough

shoulder........ I ran My hand over my forehead and yawned.... I
was so tired I had not slept for night after night... but it
seemed for ever... and with That I stood... slipping from the
cot to the floor bare feet settled to the floor.....the lass
removed the robe then started to remove the bandages that
wrapped my whole chest... slowly she unwound the Bandage,,, and
again threw it to the side so she could get rid of the items....
she tugged the bandage and i almost went threw the ceiling with
pain... I could not move my shoulders just yet and my eyes
closed as I found cot laying on My belly[/center]
