       Libya- First Mandatory Post

       1. Who has the right to possess the land of Israel and
       Palestine? Explain using historical/cultural/political reasoning
that reflect your country's position and beliefs.
Libya believes, the Palestinians should inherit the land
because; the Israelis were pushed out of Israel and are only
inhabiting Israel, because of the United States. The land was
always in possession of the Arabic Palestinians, and Jewish
Israelis but the Palestinians pushed the Israelis out. There
land was stolen from them when the Allies, dropped the entire
surviving Jewish population, on a land that truly belongs to the
Palestinians. Israel only stands there today, because of the
support from the United States. Israel has a strong military,
but all if the middle-east countries had enough nukes, they
wouldn’t exist. (Along with the middle-east in general, because
       of mutually assured destruction)
       2. Should the international community recognize the statehood
       of Palestine? Justify your response.
No, the international community should not recognize the
statehood of Palestine because Palestine is split into 2 parts,
the Gaza Strip and West Bank. The unfortunate thing is that
Israel splits the 2 cities from eachother and there is no way
that you could make Palestine its own state if there is a
country that has your 2 cities split. The other reason you would
not want Palestine to be a state is because the people would
complain of why they have to become their own country when
theirs' already existed and was taken over.
       3. What is your country's position regarding Iran's nuclear
program? How should the program be addressed?
Us here in Libya are ok with the allowing of the Iranian nuclear
program, since other countries like Israel, USA, Canada have a
nuclear program. The people who make the assumptions that all
Iran wants to is create Nuclear Weapons are the skeptics' and
they are not thinking that Iran could use a Nuclear Program to
build nuclear power plants and make more profit from their
country on the use of a different type of power. As the news has
reported, there is no signs of the building of a Nuclear Missile
so there is no problem at hand right now. The program should be
addressed under a warning, that there will be no production of
nuclear warheads, or any type of weapon period, but no immediate
action should be taken as it is not a high risk.

The funny thing is that your government actually came out and
stated that you support a two-station solution, which basically
means you WANT the Palestinians to gain the status of statehood
so that the Israelis and the Palestinians can live in harmony
       side by side.
"Shabani mentioned Gadhafi's eccentric ideas about the
resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, including the
founding of a single country to be called "Israstine." But
Shabani said his group believed in two countries, Israel and
Palestine, living side by side in peace - the two-state
       solution."
