       USA's Response
By: The United States Date: March 23, 2012, 8:51 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       1) America believes that Israel should inherit the land of
Israel. Historically, this is their land. The Jewish population
had control of the land as early as 140 BCE. This is their holy
land, and they should be given access to it. The Jews were
pushed out of this land by other races, and were unwanted by
many, which is the reason they lost it. There are even biblical
references as to the Israel being the holy land of the Jews.
America believes that with what happened to the Jewish
population as a result of World War 2, that giving Israel back
to the Jewish population is the one of the few things the world
can do to even begin to repair their loss. However, Palestine
should still exist for the Islamic people. It can clearly be
seen in our simulation and in real life that it is very hard for
the Islamic and Jewish people to co-exist, and so borders must
be put around to separate the two people. -Guru
       2) Yes Palestine should be recognized as a state. Palestinians
and Israeli’s are very different people with very different
points of view. There is constant tension between the two
groups, and so to try and unite them under one banner would be
unwise. The war and terrorism that would ensue would be
catastrophic. So Palestine should be recognized as it’s own
state, separate from Israel, so that tensions would not ensue.
       3) The nuclear program currently festering in Iran is
inadmissible, yet it has been appeased by several nations who
disregard it's basic violation of both international code and
human rights. This blunt neglection could stem from Anti-Semitic
views or even an obsession with monetary gain. To begin, it
would seem that Iran is allowed to undergo a nuclear program
since it is a part of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty
(NPT), which states that all nations in collaboration has the
right to possess one. However, in a following pillar it also
states that a nation must not have any intention to act with
that nuclear research destructively. Iran has made its
aggressive position on Israel abundantly clear, adamantly
professing that they would "blow Israel off the map" if it had
the chance. Clearly this is a breach of a signed treaty which
can only show the international community how irrational and
dangerous Iran really can be. In response, the super powers of
the globe, Russia, China, and America, should collectively
protest against this infringement on human rights. This can
prove effective if all exportation and importation of any
materials nuclear affiliated by these powers are abrogated.
Furthermore, if the message is still unclear that the world does
not support such behaviour other measures such as restricting
all trade should be taken. War is not off the table, but it is
undesirable. Only with the support of other nations can we, as a
       whole, prevent an atrocity.- Andrew

I very much disagree with the first point. The historical aspect
of the situation is irrelevant in who owns the land. As Zack and
I stated in our post, if you have to consider the olden age of
"who got there first" then the U.S itself would be begging its
own hypocrisies. In the United State's situation, one could say
that the natives were there first, however who owns the land as
of now? Definitely not the natives. We shouldn't be pointing
fingers at who started it, but rather look at what is present.
The fact of the matter now, is that both Palestinian people and
the Israeli live on the same land. Both have government, a
permanent population, and territory of their own. -Andrew Chin

Actually Andrew, the reason Iran is found breaching the NPT has
nothing to do with wanting to "blow Israel off the map" (which
is purely a anti-zionist perspective, notice it is Israel and
not the Jews), it instead has to do with not declaring certain
facilities and not allowing UN inspection of varying facilities
which raised a suspicions that these facilities were being used
to build nuclear weapons (the intent to build breaks the third
pillar, not the intent to use them). It is true America used to
believe the facilities were being used to build nuclear weapons
but more recently America, or more specifically the CIA, has
admitted that there is no evidence that Iran is interested in
       building nuclear weapons (
  HTML http://www.rt.com/news/mossad-iran-nuclear-programme-851/
       ). The
article also states that the Israeli intelligence agency has
concluded the same thing but of course the Israeli government
       doesn't listen to intelligence.
