[Solved] Coarse Resolution on Waveform 'Scope Plot (Transient
Analysis)

I found the default 'scope plot on the default transient
analysis settings was a bit steppy (straight lines between
sample points, too few sample points across the display):

Here's the run dialogue, you'll see I tried setting the number
of points across the 1ms run to "1001" (which you would think
should be enough!), so why aren't all 1001 samples being
plotted?:

Finding the answer took a lot of trawing through the MC12 manual
(which is where support forums come in - it saves other people
trawling the manual when I've done it already). It seems that
if the "minimum time step" is left at the default 0, that means
the width of the plot is divided by 50 as the plot sample
interval (regardless of the number of points in the simulation),
no doubt for speed on low-power PCs. Thus the plotted waveforms
are composed of 50 (or maybe 49) segments.
The solution is to change the minimum time step setting to
something sensible, in this case 10us:

Much better!
