Use of Phase2 in Transient Analysis

Given a simple RC- or RL-series network.
From the plot of the generator voltage and voltage against
ground on R the phase shift can be calculated by looking at the
zero crossing.
This method is quite rudimentary. In the User Manual for MC12
Phase2 is briefly mentioned without explicit example of use.
What is the exact syntax of using Phase2?
Thanks for any comments.

Welcome to the forum.
I'll try to look into your question (no time at the moment), but
it would help if you can post up example files as attachments.

Hello,
Thanks for responding.
I can determin the phase shift by taking the time difference of
the zero crossings of v(V1) and v(R3) and convert it into phase
angle.
Since Phase2 has been implemented in MC12, I thought it would be
handy to ude that function.
Please find attached 2 screenshots.

Robert

Phase2 can be used to measure phase difference between two
waveforms in transient analysis.
Plot the required waveforms, in transient analysis tab, go to
scope -> measurement. click on green + symbol. Select Phase2 in
function drop down list. For Expression X, choose the desired
waveform, for expression Y choose the reference waveform.

Thanks for your help regagarding the use of Phase2.
It worked just fine.

Robert
