July Membership Meeting 7-22-18

Please join your chicken family for this month's educational
meeting on 7-22-18 at the Jon Archer Center, 1070 Schillinger
Road North, Mobile, AL 36608. The meeting will run from 3:00 to
4:30pm. We request that you begin arriving around 2:30 for
fellowship and refreshments.
Our July meeting topic will be one of great interest to so many
of our members. We are so thrilled to have local snake expert
Mike Casper speaking to our club on the identification, safety,
venom, benefits and myth busting around local snake species.
Mike has been immersed in the field of Ophiology (the study of
snakes) for 35 years and is currently serving as the Vice
President of REACH (Reptile Education Awareness Conservation and
Husbandry). He is somewhat of a legend in the local snake and
reptile community and we feel very fortunate that he has agreed
to spend his Sunday afternoon educating our members. *** In
order for Mike to give the best presentation possible he has
requested that we allow him a full 90 minutes to present his
information. We wanted you to know this ahead of time so that
you may plan accordingly.
As with every meeting, we will be giving away door prizes but as
a special treat this month we will be having an opportunity for
you to own a beautiful vintage Kenneth Jay Lane Serpent Watch
valued at 85.00. Tickets will be 1.00 each and the watch will be
given away at the end of Mike’s presentation. Be on the lookout
for photos on the Club FB page. We had some terrific suggestions
deposited in our Suggestion Box over the past few months so
please keep them coming. You will find the Suggestion Box near
the Registration Table so please be thinking about ways you
would like to see MBABYCC improve. This is your chicken club and
we want your input!!
Your meeting homework is 1) Put the meeting on your schedule and
come join us on 7-22. 2) Think about what suggestions you would
like to offer to make MBABYCC even better. 3) Decide what
delicious refreshment creation you are going to share.
Our monthly meetings are for those who are paid members of
MBABYCC. If you are not a paid member, we would love for you
join our chicken family! The dues are 20.00 a year and that
covers all family members living in your home. For your
investment of 20.00 you can attend monthly educational meetings,
two picnics a year, a Christmas party and other MBABYCC events.
Margaret Pinter, Hospitality Chairwoman, and her team will be on
hand to check in club members and have membership applications
available for anyone wanting to join at the meeting. She will
gladly answer any questions you may have and will help you join
us if you choose to do so.
