Spring Picnic 5-20 at The Environmental Studies Center
By: Angela Fore Date: April 26, 2018, 10:16 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
It is that time of year Chicken Family….time for our Spring
Picnic!! Please join us this Sunday, May 20th at the
Environmental Studies Center located at 6101 Girby Road, Mobile,
AL 36693. We ask that you begin arriving at 2:30pm for
fellowship and to look over items in our rummage sale (more on
that in a minute…). We will begin to eat around 3:30 followed by
       drawings for door prizes.
The club will be providing fried chicken, pulled pork and
drinks. We have some fantastic cooks and bakers in our club so
this is your opportunity to share your culinary talents with
your chicken family. We will have a separate post for what
everyone is bringing so we will know what goodies to be looking
forward to as well as avoiding too many duplicate items.

Now back to the “MBABYCC Rummage Sale”. Do you have some gently
used-clean chicken equipment laying around that you do not need
anymore? If so, we would like to encourage you to tag it with
your name, price and bring it to the picnic and donate it to our
club rummage sale. All proceeds to benefit MBABYCC. If your
item does not sell, you may either take it back home or we will
donate it for you to a local charity.
The Environmental Studies Center is a natural sciences education
facility designed to provide unique learning experiences as well
as wildlife rehabilitation. The wildlife rehabilitation program
is dedicated to the care and potential release of injured and
orphaned native wildlife. This program receives over 600 wild
patients a year. These animals all need food, care, and shelter
to survive. The program relies upon donations from people like
you for its operation. We would like to encourage you to take a
look at the Environmental Studies Center Wish List and please
bring a donation with you to the picnic to show the ESC how much
we appreciate all that they do.

Our monthly meetings and picnics are for those who are
supporting members of MBABYCC. If you are not a supporting
member, we would love for you join our chicken family! The dues
are 20.00 a year and that covers all family members living in
your home. For your investment of 20.00 you can attend monthly
educational meetings, two picnics a year, a Christmas party and
other MBABYCC events. The link to fill out an application for
membership and to pay online is:

Margaret Pinter, Hospitality Chairwoman, and her team will be
checking in everyone this month and will have membership
applications available for anyone wanting to join at the
meeting. She will gladly answer any questions you may have and
will help you join us if you choose to do so.
Looking forward to seeing you at the picnic!
