April Monthly Membership Meeting 4-22-18

[size=12pt] Please join your chicken family for this month's
educational meeting on 4-22-18 at the Jon Archer Center, 1070
Schillinger Road North, Mobile, AL 36608. The meeting will run
from 3:00 to 4:00pm. We request that you begin arriving around
2:30 for fellowship and refreshments.
Our April meeting topic is: The Scoop on Nutrition. We are so
excited to have a guest speaker for this month’s meeting: Dale
“Bubbah” Harrison, Nutrition Consultant with Nutrena. For those
of you who have not met Bubbah, you are in for a real treat.
Not only is he very knowledgeable on the subject of poultry
nutrition but he has this wonderful enthusiasm that makes him a
pleasure to listen to. His presentation will cover poultry
nutrition from many angles; what you can and cannot feed
chickens, free range diets vs. contained diets, all natural vs
organic/non gmo and identifying specific nutritional needs of
your flock. I shared with Bubbah that the majority of our
attendees have been keeping chickens for quite a while so he
wants you to share your experiences with feeding your flock as
well. In the spirit of keeping his presentation interactive
there will be coupons and prizes for those of you who speak up
and participate in his presentation too!
As with every meeting, we will be giving away door prizes,
having delicious refreshments and enjoying being together. Last
month, we introduced a Suggestion Box at the meeting in order
for you to leave your suggestions about future meeting topics,
meeting times, locations or any other concerns and submissions
you might want to bring up. You will find the Suggestion Box
near the Registration Table so please be thinking about ways you
would like to see MBABYCC improve. This is your chicken club and
we want your input!!
Your meeting homework is 1) Put the meeting on your schedule
and come join us this Sunday! 2) Put together some poultry
nutrition questions to ask Bubbah Harrison. 3) Think about what
suggestions you would like to offer to make MBABYCC even better.
4) Decide what delicious refreshment creation you are going to
share.
Our monthly meetings are for those who are paid members of
MBABYCC. If you are not a paid member, we would love for you
join our chicken family! The dues are 20.00 a year and that
covers all family members living in your home. For your
investment of 20.00 you can attend monthly educational meetings,
two picnics a year, a Christmas party and other MBABYCC events.

Margaret Pinter, Hospitality Chairwoman, and her team are back
this month to check in club members and have membership
applications available for anyone wanting to join at the
meeting. She will gladly answer any questions you may have and
will help you join us if you choose to do so.
