March Monthly Membership Meeting 3-25-18

[size=12pt]Please join your chicken family for this month's
educational meeting on 3-25-18 at the Mobile Botanical Gardens,
5151 Museum Drive, Mobile, AL 36608. The meeting will run from
3:00 to 4:00pm. We request that you begin arriving around 2:30
for fellowship and refreshments.
Our March meeting topic is: Chicks 102 or…. TEENAGE CHICKENS!!!
We will have a presentation on the care and considerations for
your teenage chickens and also have a handout for you to take
home with you for your future reference. Next up will be a
presentation by Darlene Brinkman, Chicken Illness and Injury
Preparation: What you need in your first aid kit. We will have
different types of first aid kits and products on display and
will be giving away a nice first aid kit container. This month's
Breed Spotlight will shine on Turkens. Deborah Moorer, will
bring one of her Turken hens and Karen Strickland will be
bringing Turken chicks too, so you will be able to see the breed
up close and ask questions. Just like last month, after
Deborah’s presentation we will ask you, the audience, a few
questions about the Turken breed and you will have an
opportunity to win additional prizes. Last but not least, if
time and his voice permits, Travis Rayner has agreed to speak to
everyone on tips and tricks for using our new forum.
New features of this month’s meeting will be a separate door
prize drawing for our younger members in addition to their
regular planned activities. Another feature that I am
particularly excited about it is the addition of a suggestion
box! We will have a suggestion box available at the meeting in
order for you to leave your suggestions about future meeting
topics, meeting times, locations or any other concerns and
submissions you might want to bring up. This is your chicken
club and we want your input!!
Your meeting homework is 1) Put the meeting on your schedule
and come join us next Sunday! 2) Think about what suggestions
you would like to offer to make MBABYCC even better. 3) Decide
what delicious refreshment creation you are going to share with
your chicken family.
Our monthly meetings are for those who are paid members of
MBABYCC. If you are not a paid member, we would love for you
join our chicken family! The dues are 20.00 a year and that
covers all family members living in your home. For your
investment of 20.00 you can attend monthly educational meetings,
two picnics a year, a Christmas party and other MBABYCC events.

Normally, our sweet Margaret Pinter, Hospitality Chairwoman,
would be on hand to check in club members and have membership
applications available for anyone wanting to join at the meeting
but this month in Margaret’s absence we are happy to have Karen
Strickland stepping in to fill Margaret’s shoes. She will
gladly answer any questions you may have and will help you join
us if you choose to do so.

Yep, Public speaking can be a bit tough. But, the more you do
it the better it gets. Regardless, you presented good info
