Alice grins down at the face below her, laughing silently. "Ah!
My white queen! You've returned!" She embraces her suddenly, a
show that few that know her have seen. "So, my queen, how has
walking backwards been treating you?"

Sarah gives her friend a sad smile, "I'm afraid I may have
tripped, Alice. It is rather easy to do when you walk backwards
since you can't see where you are going. But I am trying to help
dust myself off and keep trying."
She shakes her woes away, and Sarah's bright smile returns. "I
am truly and honestly glad to see you, my old friend. I heard
about the blaze that ate up your haven in Bedlam. I feared the
worst! I am truly releived to see you unharmed!"

Lloyd looks back to the woman, Alice, and sees the other woman
speaking to her.
"Excuse me, but would you two like to join us? Forgive me for my
rudeness of leaving you there, it's just that I haven't seen my
friend in some time."

She glances back at Sarah and her grin returns. "My queen, have
-you- seen the red on the horizon?"

Sarah glances at the gentleman and the woman at the bar with
mild curiosity, but makes no movement of an intention to join
them. She watches the man return the the blonde at the bar,
before returning her own attention to Alice, "The red on the
horizon?", she ponders for a moment, searching her past with
Alice for clues to her meaning, and replies somberly, "Not this
evening, but I have seen a red on the horizon in the past. I
hadn't realized there was another coming.. although, with how
this world turns it shouldn't surprise me." She leans in closer,
so that only Alice hears her, "What do you know of this red,
Alice?"

Lorelei glances at her watch, finding herself bored with the
conversation. "Well, Lloyd, it's been a pleasure, as always, but
I really must run. I'll see you around. You know how to reach me
if you need me." And without waiting for a reply, the tall
blonde exits the Lounge, her assistant scurrying to keep up.
