guests. To be honest it's been a bit difficult findin' work
since a couple months ago. Could use the brake. Things have been
a bit iffy ever since I broke up with "Homeless Devils" bout six

any promises. im running a business and i cant just let every
wandering vagabond with a guitar play in my club, we take only
the best. you might want to talk to my sister, Absynthe. shes
around here somewhere. red hair, kinda loopy, you cant miss her.
shes got a great ear for voices, but shes not exactly kind when
it comes to critiques. if you can convince her that you are
A-list Material, you're in."

Absinthe smiles up at Sparrow. "If I didn't know better, doll,
I'd think you were just sweet on me." She laughs and folds her
arms across her chest. "Yeah, I'll be preforming again later on.
Dev booked this cute no name band and they're on stage right
now, so I'm just going to let them do their thing."

Sparrow smirks. "It's a good thing you know better, then." He
takes another long drag of his cigarette. "So what's new, pretty
girl? Has life thrown anything new your way lately? I mean, the
club thing is nice, but anything else?"

Jessika takes a sip from her glass and looks around the club.
During the past few songs Sarah had recollected herself, and
currently sat beside her, quietly contemplating her drink. Sarah
seemed to be doing that a lot these days. Jessika had noticed a
change in her companion ever since the incident a few months
back - she was more quiet, introverted, and more contemplative
that usual - but whenever she brought it up to Sarah, the topic
would be quickly changed.
Jessika's eyes drifts from face to face until they meet the gaze
of a pair of cold brown eyes in the back corner. The thin woman
is dressed in dark colors, so it is hard to make out any
details, but Jessika realizes with a start that the woman is
definitely staring at her. Jessika notes with some relief that
she isn't trying to control her, but she still feels
uncomfortable under the woman's unblinking gaze. Jessika looks
back toward the stage and leans in near Sarah and whispers, "I
think somevon is vatching us." Sarah glances up at Jessika with
slight confusion. Jessika indicates the direction of the woman
behind them, and Sarah glances over Jessika's shoulder. "Vhat is
she? Can you tell?"
Sarah pauses a moment as her eyes search the room, "...Who,
love? No one is watching us..."
Jessika's eyes widen in surprise as she turns to find that the
thin woman is gone. "She vas right there", Jessika points to the
location in question. Sarah scans the souls in the indicated
area, and replies that everyone is accounted for.
"Perhaps you were seeing things, love? You have been under a lot
of stress lately."
Jessika glances behind her one more time before returning to her
drink, "Maybe you're right..."

After Absinthe chats for a bit with Sparrow, she returns inside
and takes a seat next to Sarah. "So Momma, how are the acts
looking? Have you seen Dev yet?" She places her hand on Sarah's
and smiles. "You smell pretty tonight." Cocking her head toward
Jessika, she laughs. "Don't worry Momma Jess. I'm not gonna
steal your woman from you...unless...you know...there's a
threeway involved. I'm all for the Nos bod."

Kay turns toward her group and notices the woman performer
talking to Sara.
"you were very good up there. that must be very fun."
she smiles very big and and sort of bounces a little on her seat
while she waits excitedly to hear the woman's opinion

"It's been a while since I've been up on a stage, so that's
nifty to hear from a new face." She chuckles. "What did you say
your name was, doll?"
