New Beginnings

The moon has just risen into the night sky, and the 'Open' sign
of the Whirling Dervish flickers on for the first time in
months. Inside, Absinthe fiddles with a microphone for a couple
moments, before giving up and tossing it on the carpet with a
loud 'hmph!'.
The Whirling Dervish is small, but by no means quaint. Photos
line the walls of past musicians, from Sinatra to The Mamas and
The Papas, to Green Day, to Lady Gaga. The lighting is low, a
perfect mood-setter for the area, giving a placid and calm
feeling. There are no large tables in the room, only couches and
chairs, as well as a few end tables scattered here and there,
off setting the normal high-dollar establishment with a bit of
home-town charm.
Music plays softly in the background, setting the stage for the
act that is to come.
Absinthe glares at the ground before her, before passing her
hands over an end table, and grabbing the red elixir placed on
it. She takes a sip and continues to pout.

Pride sits at a couch with one lady on his left side and another
on his right side. The one too his right being a blonde and the
other being a redhead. The two ladies have a drink in their
hand, but Pride doesn't. The three of them are laughing and
making small talk. He notices the girl from bar ( Absinthe) that
he was at last night. He gets up from where he is sitting and
tells the girls he will be back and that he has to say hello to
a friend of his. He walks over to Absinthe with a smile on his
face.
" So how are you? I have to say I am enjoying this place. "

"I'm glad you find it to your liking, sir." Absinthe grins. "I
hope to see you stick around for a while. It -is- opening night,
after all. My brother and I have put a lot of work into the
club, and we'd hate to see it go to waste."

" Oh yes I will be sticking around for awhile. I think i have
found my regular hangout spot here in this city good looking"

Marcus enters the club through the back entrance of the club
like Sarah recommended. He has Kay on one arm and Sarah on his
other. He looks around at the club just taking it all in.
" Hm this place is pretty nice. I have never been here before,
but then again I do not go clubs unless I need to. So ladies
lets have a good time."

Sarah catches an glimpse of Absinthe speaking with Pride, and
smiles. "Good", she murmurs to herself, "She doesn't look
nervous."
"Actually, Kay", she says to the young woman, "I have a reserved
couch, right over there", she added while indicating a rounded,
plush couch near the stage.
