       Stephen the Toreador
By: patchworkmind Date: May 14, 2012, 3:03 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
When you meet him you notice: Standing an average height of
5’8”, with auburn hair, small darkened spots sprinkled upon his
flesh, and bark colored eyes with just the hint of green in
them, Stephen is a pretty normal looking man. His facial hair
descending down his jaw line, connecting to a small goatee, all
further add to the pointed fetchers that accompany his slightly
       spiked hair.
His clothing changes constantly, nothing fancy, nothing
extravagant, nothing that screams for attention. His outfit’s
only whisper hints that he would like to live life quietly,
peacefully, yet still good for a joyful laugh or a fun time.
His voice is of a deepened light feathery quality, which travels
to you on whips of sandalwood scents. His aroma when not
speaking is almost the same, that of burning incense with hints
of lavender and a touch of chocolate covered fruits.
There are the small things about him that escape notice at
first, the things you only see on the second time meeting him.
His hands have a smooth indelicate texture, with nails trimmed
short but un-manicured. His shoes always have specks of dirt,
though he never leaves a mud trail. His pants are not wrinkled,
but you can tell he does not own an ironing board.
       Clan: Toreador
Concepts character is centered on: Nature dweller, shamanic,
Seeker of inner peace. Seeker of truth. Finds Beauty in all life
while knowing beauty can be terrible and still divine.
       Generation: 11
       Path : Harmony
Skills: academic pursuits and physical refinement are his items
of note. While he is also well versed in world culture and
history, the matters of the mind and soul are his specialty. If
you quote a self help book, or holy text, he may possibly tell
you the next verse and its significance to the situation at
       hand.
Quirks: spends more time meditating and learning than with
people, though it does not hinder his social grace. He enjoys
whimsy and purpose and intertwines them often. He is accepting
of everyone and everything, to the point that when people try to
get a rise out of them, they may become angered when no fruit
comes from their efforts. Knowing that all good and bad is a
product of the mind, he tends to come off as an eternal
optimistic, growing more so inversely to the mood of those
around him. He does his best to let others know when they are in
denial of their nature, for to know one is in strife is the
first step to dealing with it. His favored hunting grounds are
pagan festivals, raves in pop-up-overnight-raves, his small
heard of followers who he has gotten to know very well over the
years, and who have become his fellow writers and gamers. He has
a tendency to only ghoul or induct into his heard those who are
tended to be known as “philosophical nerds”. He spends a large
part of his eternal life playing games, communing with nature in
meditation and helping the mortals and immortals alike find
       inner peace.

Clark the Cleric! Ghoul of Stephen the Toreador!
Clark runs the bookstore for Stephen. His clerical duties extend
far beyond the store however, for every week he plays the healer
for the DnD group. Stephen likes to tell stories and play in
them, so he and his ghouls play round robin with fulfilling the
       role of DM.

Clark hails from New Orleans actually, and was visiting Berlin
as Stephen and his at the time trio of ghouls were passing
through. Clark is kind of a street urchin and had spent the
first three years after college living off of what he made as a
street performer. He has an amazing ability to play the trumpet,
the snare drum, the flute, the……. He can play many instruments.

Clark usually wears the same tan jacket over his off the rack
sweater vest that does not match his bowtie. His dreads are
brown partly from being dreads. He has psychedelic beads woven
into it and has bedazzled horn-rimmed red glasses that distract
from his deep sunken eyes, the major indication of his ghoulish
       nature.

Clark is very friendly and obviously stoned out of his mind most
of the time, unless confronted by the cops. He always seems to
inexplicably sober up just in time for them. He always talks of
vibes he is getting and peoples auras, but he was doing that
long before Stephen taught him auspex, he can just see them a
       lot better now.

The book store is a two story building but very narrow. The
front feels like the entrance to the leaky cauldron except
painted an off white, with emerald shutters. The interior area
right inside the dusty windows that mask view almost completely
are armchairs, reading nooks, and couches with lamps. In the
middle of the store has a counter to separate it into a front
section of sitting, and a back area filled with bookshelves to
the brim with glorious books. Next to the counter is a spiral
stair case that leads to the owners loft.

It is common knowledge that the proprietor and his crew run
games up there at night, though most week days the store is a
pleasantly quiet place, where one can go to chat, read, study,
or just take a nap. Oddly no books have ever been sold from the
store, they don’t charge anything to hang out there, and people
have wondered why they opened at all.
