us..."

"Actually no, not at all." Responds Stephen happily.
"I will now, though."
Clark interjects, "Will you want the other three copies as well
sir?"

"Go ahead and order me an extra copy if you would. I'd like to
have a back-up just in case the other is misplaced or worse. The
money I've already given you should cover the expenses."
Lloyd turns back to Stephen.
"Stephen, may I ask you what you've found around town in our
society that is so intriguing?"

"Well actually the price I quoted you was for the cheaper of the
two books I found online, the other is $287.53, though I think I
will not need to charge as high of a mark up on this copy. and
the other two known copies are in the hands of collectors, so I
think that those will be unobtainable." says Clark.
Stephen politely waits for this small issue to be resolved bore
continuing the conversation.

Lloyd sighs disappointingly.
"Fine, just the one then."

"Sorry the second edition was not within your bounds." Clark
says with a sympathetic tone.
Stephen speaks up saying "this for example, the goals and
desires you had, being traded up for more reasonable ones. with
immortality, per say, you still cling to the human notion of
balance and temperament and weighed up your desire for the back
up copy because the price was higher on the second book,
dynamically altering your goals to fit reality. It is just
wonderful!"
Clarks eyes light up, signaling to Lloyd that this kind of
conversation happens often between the Clark and Stephen, "OH! I
am curious, what would you have paid at most if only one book
was available, with no cheaper option to have it weighed
against?"

"I was willing to pay at least five-hundred dollars for one
copy. That's what I had expected initially for such a relic. In
order to make that possible, I moved my plans around the issue
and made it possible to have the funds ready for it."

"but if you step back from the initial logic, of one book for
500, and two books for about three hundred, the choice seems
good, but, then one book for less than 20, a second copy for
290, it seems like less of a return for your cost."
"I think it is similar to the changes you wish to obtain here
politically. seen through the right lens, the change is a great
deal! probably few lives and un-lives lost for a more utopian
society.
" Stephen drops his smile just a little.
"Though if seen through a different perspective, instead of
making the best of the situation already in play, that seems to
have established a relative peace within the community, the cost
seems like it is too high for the possible payouts."
Stephen picks up his smile again. "Well, I hope the inevitable
deaths you will cause are worth the return."

Lloyd slightly smiles at the two's conversation.
"If I have it my way, then no one will have to die. As I am very
aware, there might be times that others will have to be... fixed
in the perspectives of things. However, if it all possible, I'd
rather not resort to murdering anyone if it all possible."

"But the status quo is maintained by some one, or a group of
people who will hold onto what they have accomplished dearly.
Would you not resist change away from the system you wish to
create once it is in place. I am very confidant that more blood
will be spilled than saved, but I always admire idealism. To go
into this without expecting to slaughter many lives in an orgy
of death, is foolish and will only hurt you and your goal."
"I guess I just mean to say I hope the ultimate cost in this is
not being over looked. Those details in plans are often the ones
used against you."
