       A Conundrum

       Let's say that Gehenna is a complete myth; The antedilluvians
       are all gone and the elders are solely concerned with keeping
       their own little piece of hell from the other elders and left
       younger kindred to their own devices.  As years pass, humans
       dwindle from the constant onslaught of either reckless feeders,
       Sabbat creating massive amounts of shock-troops, or simply a
       combination of lower birth rates and higher death rates.  Maybe
       a combination of all those.  The point is, kindred and their
       like are outnumbering humans by at least three to one.  Global
       blood supplies are beginning to dwindle dangerously as upholding
       the masquerade is becoming less of a priority and the knowledge
       of vampires becomes less fiction and more fact.
       What actions could be taken, if any should be taken?

       The Japanese invent a synthetic blood to help ease the blood
       demand. (lol) Or the elders start "pruning" out the lesser
       quality Vamps... or both.

       There is also the desperate measure of when push comes to shove,
       they start to feed on animals. I'm sure it would never be a
       permanent transition, but some sort of control system would be
       in place. How long would this work, however, is completely up to
       circumstance.
