On the hunt...job hunting, that is!

Lydia walks (adorned in outfit below) into the shop taking in
the wonderful atmosphere. It had been too long since she had
seen such a place like this. Her old library had been deserted
in Bedlam, for obvious reasons, therefore she had missed her
books. Lydia makes her way through, browsing at the books on the
shelves until she sees the counter with someone behind it.
"Hello~" Lydia addresses him in a pleasant, but non abrasive
manner. As she does so, she sees one of the business cards,
picks one up, and pockets it for later.

Looking up from a book he was nose deep in Clark asks with a
highly raised brow "Good evening mam! you look thirsty for some
       knowledge!"
Although the bloody double meaning exists for her, Lydia is
unaware of how not aware Clark is of her being anything but
       normal.
"What can I help you attain? A good fairy tale with dragons and
boggarts? A book of hexes to vex your foes? A recipe for a love
potion for snagging that man or woman of your dreams?"
Clark points over to a large display case of paintings, "or are
you here for some of our fine artistic wares?"

Lydia's smile grows on her face as the man addresses her. "As
wonderful as those offers are, to which I may partake in later,
I was actually curious if you were hiring. I'm sorta new to town
and I have an IMMENSE love for literature."

With a raised eye brow and a smirk, “Well we are new to town as
well, and are really picky about who we hire.”
Clark looks around for a moment appearing to check for a “coast
is clear”, then lowers his voice. “You seem smart, so I will
make a deal with you. If you can answer three of my riddles, you
can help me around the store. What do you say?”

Lydia looks around as well, trying to see what he's looking for.
"Sure, I don't mind. But why are we being quiet?"

"Its okay I don't think anyone is home.... "
"alright so first" Clark pulls out a magic the gathering card
with a picture of a horned centaur on it "What do you do when
the horned one comes, to usher in the winter hunt?"

Lydia ponders for a moment, considering her options before
answering. About five minutes later, she is satisfied with her
       answer and replies accordingly.
"Politely reply to him that the Mother is not here, and that she
       is else where."

Clark pulls out a second card, with a ghostly woman hovering
around a forest, "When death is near, how do I expel the
       banshies call from my ears?"

Lydia answers this one rather quickly, remembering her study on
banshees she did a couple of years ago.
"Get between the banshee and her source of water, and threaten
to brandish her with an iron sword. It is said that if one does
so, she may grant three wishes. Use one of the wishes to expel
her. You may also sneak up behind the banshee as she washes the
soon-to-be departed’s clothes, and catch her by surprise. Ask
the banshee whose clothes she washes, and she must honestly
answer your question. If the banshee says she washes the clothes
of someone you know, you can save the person's life and
eliminate the banshee's reason for haunting a location by
       telling her to stop."
Lydia smiled, grateful for finding a use for her knowledge.

"Good!" Clark seems to scribble something down on a sheet of
       paper.
"To make sure you will not desert your post as my helper, my
       final riddle you must solve."
Holding up a magic card with great majestic cranes on it,
“I am a scribe of note fluttering wisdom to all, as the tongue
and heart of the sun. who am I?”
up from the second story a book case ... closes, apparently
there is a not so secret passage to some sort of back upper
room. Lydia is the first to see him, dressed very modestly and
in earth tones. Stephen calls out with a smile "I think this
       constitutes as cheating."
Clark faces him, his cheeks filling with the vitae running
though his ghoulish veins, though speaking in an unabashed tone,
"We never clarified where our research could come from.... you
said we could use any resource at our disposal.... and I was
thinking outside the box, with my new research partner." he
retorts with a wink to Lydia.
Stephen trots down the stairs "Well, fine and delightfully dead
beauty" he leans down and kisses her hand "It is a pleasure to
meet you. I am the owner of this place and this is my dear
friend and gaming companion, Clark, who I assume has not
       introduced himself to you?"
with eyes darting to the stack of books on the counter "Though I
do not think you know what you got your self into... " a
trollish smile perking the edges of his lips.
