Lloyd Pyrrus
By: Dalton133 Date: August 15, 2012, 1:30 am
---------------------------------------------------------
On October 14th, 1970, Lloyd Pyrrus was born to Ralph Pyrrus, a
shady criminal defense lawyer, and his mother Janet Norton
Pyrrus in Dallas, Texas. Janet and Ralph’s marriage was not a
happy one as the two of them would often cheat on one another.
Luckily, Lloyd also had a sister, Rachel Pyrrus, who cared for
him more than anything and throughout their years together cared
for Lloyd like he was her son, often shielding Lloyd from his
mother’s and father’s affairs. On June 4th, 1974, Ralph came in
from work and, believing his wife to be out of the house,
brought home one of his female clients. But when he went to his
bedroom, he found his wife being sandwiched by two men. In the
following months the two divorced, with his father gaining
custody of Lloyd while his mother took Rachel. Since his sister
was no longer around to shield him, Lloyd was subjected for six
years to watch his father bring in woman after woman. In fact,
his father was so uncaring of Lloyd’s feeling that he would even
invade Lloyd’s room with his consorts and introduce them as “his
new mother”. On May 7th, 1980, Ralph thought it time that Lloyd
begin working toward a career in law and started him off as a
filing and delivery boy, which would sometimes put Lloyd in
danger when delivering papers to belligerent, opposing clients.
This continued for another five years until child protection
services stepped in and placed custody of Lloyd with his mother
who now lived in New Orleans, Louisiana. When he had arrived at
his mother’s, he was so excited to see his sister that he ran
passed his mother and went straight into the house looking for
his sister, but she was nowhere to be found. Lloyd’s mother told
him that Rachel was running for a state senator’s position. But,
when Rachel had uncovered her opponent for embezzling money, she
was later found dead in the swamps, having been raped and five
bullets lodged in her lower back. This shattered Lloyd’s world,
knowing that the one person that he considered pure was killed
for doing the right thing. One day, while visiting his sister’s
grave, Lloyd made a promise on her grave to help make the world
a better place and realize her dream of becoming a state
senator. For the next ten years, Lloyd work tirelessly to
improve himself to have the power to avenge his sister as well
as realize her dream. At the age of twenty-six, Lloyd had
obtained his doctorate in law and passed the bar on his first
try, thus obtaining his license. On August 12th, 2000, Lloyd
opened a law firm in New Orleans, Pyrrus and Partners. July 5th,
2001, Lloyd met a woman in a bar, Holly Green, and married her
two years later. However, Lloyd soon began to have needs that
his wife could not satisfy and cheated on her with four women
over the course of two years, two of which were from
Strawberries and Cream Dreams. On March 16th, 2005, Holly filed
for divorce. But, even though she had done nothing wrong, Lloyd
had made her look as though she was the one who had the affairs,
leaving her with nothing in the divorce. In 2006, Lloyd began
campaigning for a state senator position. Through charisma,
charity works, and just naturally knowing what the people
wanted, Lloyd became a state senator for Louisiana’s State
Senate. A few days after Lloyd’s induction, the man who was
caught for embezzling by Lloyd’s sister was found dead in the
prison showers, having been raped by seven inmates and stabbed
in the back forty-five times. The following year Lloyd made a
name for himself, almost every time being able to sway the
Senate to his side in any issues that passed through. On June
2nd, 2007, Lloyd was contacted by one of his fellow senators to
come eat dinner at his home. Lloyd went to the senator’s home
but, as he entered the door, he was knocked across the head and
woke up tied to a chair with his fellow senator standing behind
a well-dressed, business man. The man approached Lloyd and spoke
to him very calmly and eloquently.
“I’m sorry that we had to meet on such negative terms but do
understand that I have been watching you for quite some time
Lloyd. My name is Gram Elmers. I’m actually quite impressed how
you’ve been able to sway the people in your favor time after
time and would like to offer you a gift. With this gift, you’ll
find your abilities to convince others to your side will be made
much easier. However, it is not without consequence, for you
will become a being of the night and no longer be able to go
back to your old world. Rest assured, if you decline my offer, I
will turn you anyway, except I will be taking your free will
from you and you’ll become nothing but a puppet to me that I
will dispose of when I see fit! I’ll give you an hour to think
it over. In the meantime, I need to take care of something.”
Gram walked to the senator, looked him in the eyes, pointed
toward a balcony, and told him “Your services are no longer
required.” Without hesitation, the senator bolted off the
three-story balcony. Gram clapped his hands, two people entered
the room, and left with the orders to “clean-up”. Gram left
Lloyd to his thoughts and, an hour later, found that Lloyd was
willing to accept his conditions. Gram then told Lloyd the rest
of the deal.
“In exchange for this gift, I want you to help me gain support
in Texas with something called the
Camarilla. But if you cannot gain me any favor in one year’s
time, then you can expect to meet the same fate as that ghouled
senator did.”
Even with these new terms, Lloyd still agreed, knowing he could
at least bide his time if he had his free will. The following
night the two left for Texas and found a small Camarilla. During
the trip Gram taught Lloyd of what he had become and informed
him of all the Ventrues’ history, including Carthage. Within
nine months, Gram had already become primagen of the Ventrue in
that area, all thanks to Lloyd’s persuasion. However, once it
became clear that all Gram wanted the power for was to increase
his influences so he could be the Prince of the area. Lloyd
plotted a way to have Gram confess his aspirations to the
Camarilla. Fortunately for Lloyd, Gram had a problem with
praising himself every night in front of a mirror. On August
10th, 2009, Lloyd planted a tape recorder in his sire’s room and
retrieved it the following night. Just as planned, Gram, through
his vanity, had confessed to planning on murdering the Prince in
the area. Lloyd took this information to the Prince and a Blood
Hunt was called on Gram. However, before the rest of the
Camarilla could reach Gram, Lloyd had contacted him and told him
to return to New Orleans. The Prince was furious that Gram had
gotten away. The Prince called upon Lloyd and a new blood
kindred, Emil Biden, to track Gram down and bring back his
ashes. The two left for New Orleans in search of Gram but,
thanks to Lloyd’s misdirection, they did not find him until a
week later. During this time, Lloyd had secretly been blood
bonding the Emil to him by slipping his blood into the Emil’s
drinks. Lloyd offered him a drink every night of their search,
with Lloyd saying that it would be much easier for him to get
the blood since he by this time knew the owner of Strawberries
and Cream Dreams. On August 19th, 2009, Lloyd arranged to meet
Gram at the Hilton Hotel in New Orleans. When Gram entered into
Lloyd’s penthouse suite, he was knocked unconscious and awoke
hand cuffed and tied to a chair. Lloyd took video of the new
blood stabbing Gram repeatedly with a knife but told the new
blood to stop just before he killed Gram. Lloyd explained to
Gram the entire scheme that had lead up to that moment and ended
with saying that a person like Gram was too full of himself and
greedy to do any service to the world, let alone his own kind.
Before Emil finished Gram, Gram muttered, “I hope you burn in
the sun!” Once the deed was done, Lloyd placed his sire’s ashes
in an urn. Lloyd left into the hallway and handed Emil the urn
and video with instructions to take it back to the Prince of his
area, saying that he wasn’t going to go back as he felt that he
was needed in New Orleans. With that, the two said their
goodbyes. After that night, Lloyd felt as though he was much
stronger than he once was. He began to contemplate what to do
next when an idea came to him.
And so Lloyd now spends every waking moment trying to find ways
to fulfill his goal. Rest assured, if you don’t join him in his
quest, you will think differently once you’ve met eyes.
