       A place to start

Wandering towards the rumored Reformation Center, Lydia's
       thoughts run rampant.
Reformation center...sounds creepy...Not the first creepy thing
I've ever encountered though. In fact, creepy seems to find me
       more often. Haha!
Lydia walks up to the door, knocking lightly and waiting
politely. (To whomever answers, you see Lydia with short white
hair, in a simple white dress *pic attached*, messing with her
       dress)
       "Umm...Hello?"

The door creeps open, and an old man with a scraggly beard in a
suit two sizes too big opens the door. "Hmm... You're not like
the usual folk that come round here." From a ways behind him,
       you hear a man's voice.
"Damnit Slim! Get the hell away from that door!" Begrudgingly,
the man called Slim slouches and shuffles away from the door,
grumbling something about being unappreciated. The door swings
open wide, and she sees a wiry but attractive man covered in
tattoos smiling politely. "The name's Sparrow. I run the place.
You here for a place to sleep, or do you need more serious
       help?"

"I suppose I'm under the category of serious help, but I'd
certainly like a place to sleep."
Lydia nodded politely and waited to be welcomed in.

"Right then, come in. I expect it will rain soon, and we
wouldn't want that pretty dress to take any more damage than it
       already has."
He smiles politely, takes a deep breath, and says, "If you don't
know, this is the Reformation Center. Whatever your issues, we
help you get on your feet. If you have any problems with drugs,
please inform me of any and all of them, and we will see you
remedied as swiftly as possible. If you're homeless and having a
hard time, we'll do what we can to prepare you for a job and set
you up with an interview. Now, everyone here is responsible for
the caretaking and well-being of everyone else. Everyone does
their fair share of chores, and everyone contributes to
maintaining a positive environment. If you have any questions or
concerns, find Kadia or myself. There has yet to be a problem we
couldn't handle. Now, what exactly do you need?"

"I don't have any drug problems, I'm more then willing to help
out around here, and a lot's happened to me in the past few
weeks... First I was in Bedlam, now I'm here, in New Orleans.
I've always wanted to visit, but my method of travel was less
       the comfortable."
Lydia paused and looked around the room, noticing the others.
Memories of her past life flooded in, but she merely waved them
       off and composed herself mentally.
"Would you happen to know of anyone named Johnny or Jessika?
Those are the only people I know of that are still available to
contact... If not, that's fine. I'm willing to find work and get
back on my feet once again."

"Hmm... I think there's a Jessika who hangs out in the Whirling
Dervish now and then. If you think you know her, go asking
around there sometime. As for Johnny..." Sparrow walks off to
another room, returning shortly with an older man who has a limp
and an eyepatch. He looks a bit like a retired sailor, and he
certainly smells like something that came from the sea. "You
       know this guy?"
The older man perks up. "Hey good lookin! I don't know you, but
I think I might like to!" He gives the nice girl the creepiest
       wink she's ever seen.
Gently but firmly, Sparrow scolds him. "Now Johnny, be
respectful. There's a lady present." Johnny nods and apologizes.

Lydia gives a polite nod towards Johnny "Nice to meet you sir,
but I don't think you're the Johnny I'm looking for." She pauses
and turns back to Sparrow. "I think I'll go ahead and bed down
for the night, but before I do, is there anything that needs
done around here? I've got a set of hands that can do some
work!" She smiles and holds up her hands, eager to help!

Sparrow chuckles at her eagerness. "That's something I never get
tired of seeing. We need to clarify something first, though.
Obviously you have no want or need of my drug rehabilitation
program. There is still the homeless reformation program,
though. If that is what you desire, then I'll have you sign a
contract, and you'll be treated as one of our own. If this isn't
what you want, then you're allowed a free bed here for up to
three nights' stay. What do you wish?"

Lydia pauses for a moment, wondering what she actually wishes...
"I think I just need to stay here for a couple of days, while I
go on my search for Jessika. I appreciate the offer though. Is
there anything else I should know about here in New Orleans? I'd
rather not get myself, nor anyone else, in real trouble..."

"There is one thing..." Sparrow's face darkens. "Someone has
decided to draw unwanted attention to our kind. I recommend
keeping your head very, very low. Oh, and make sure you don't
drink the purple punch here. It's only intended for those
       seeking reformation. Good luck."
Sparrow pauses for a moment. "...wait a second. I knew Jessika
sounded familiar. She's the one who owns that R&B club down the
street. It's called Bitter something... Reality? I don't know.
It's not my kind of thing. Absinthe knows more about it than I
do. I don't think you'll have much trouble finding it, though.
There is a bed here waiting for you in the basement whenever you
decide to return." He hands the girl a card. "My number is there
if you need it. Before you go, what was your name again?"
