Sparrow turns his attention back to Lucy. "It's getting late
dear. You should go get ready for bed." Obediently, Lucy stands
up, turns and thanks Sarah, and heads upstairs.

Sarah watches the girl leave, then turns back to Sparrow, "I
wouldn't lump them together because what you implied had a
social-centric motive. My motive is a desire for
self-improvement with little regard for what others think."

Sparrow nods in approval. "I've had some tortured souls come
through here who could learn a thing or two from you. I do just
fine at helping these people physically, but some still need a
bit of mental help and direction. Still, we make do."

She smiles back at him, "While I haven't had any formal
training, I spent a good chunk of my life in a convent where I
councled the young girls seeking to join the order. I would be
happy to offer my services - not necessarily in the religious
sense, but on soul searching and bettering themselves."

Sparrow returns the smile. "I believe your abilities would be
most useful in the field, so to speak. Once people come to the
center and get started, there is almost never an issue with
motivation. It's just that initial step, the decision to come
here to get help, that many have a hard time deciding to do. If
you can convince those who need help to come here, as you
already have, then I would be grateful." There is a calm but
yearning look in Sparrow's face. It isn't hard to tell; he
sincerely wants more people to come get help.
