       Why are you a Markiplite?

As in, what made you subscribe to Mark's channel in the first
       place?
For me, he was actually the first "real" channel I subscribed
to. I had subbed to a few others, but none that put out videos
regularly or anything like that. In fact I believe I only was to
       Top Gear's rather crappy channel.
But a long time after Amnesia came out, I finally played it, and
when I got too scared to continue, about every 10-15 minutes, I
would look up another small YT'er play it.
At some point Mark's reaction compilation was suggested so I
watched it and found it amazing and watched his LP of it instead
when I chickened out! (I only watched ahead once as I was really
       stuck on a puzzle.)
I then saw his "re: Markiplier Project - 20,000 Subscribers!"
video some time after he had posted it, and just the fact that
he got so emotional and seemed really genuine made me hit the
       subscribe button.
I became a fan of Mark, not because of his videos, but because
       he cried.

I can really relate to what you said about him crying. It's his
passion that's really made me like, and more importantly,
respect him so much. Initially, though, I saw a video of
MangaMinx's with him, and his deep voice is what made me check
       out his channel xD
I was really into Pewdiepie and his videos, and I still like and
watch him, but Mark is and will probably always be my number one
favorite channel, and Youtuber. He's genuine and goofy and we
seem to have a lot of similar interests; which is why I enjoy
       his commentary so much. :)

       Well, here's the short answer:
For about two weeks now, I have been staying up late, wanting to
watch Markiplier videos until the sun came up. There is so much
material. I have basically been studying what I could. That
sounds really weird, but I have been a youtuber myself for many,
many years, and I never did anything so basic as what he is
doing. Asking for help to make his channel grow. I love
transparency like that, and I have found Mark's stuff very
inspiring. I think the first thing I saw was "Hire my A**!",
because I was really into the Game Grumps...still am, as a
matter of fact, although all of my youtube time is going to
       Mark, currently.
And I thought: "Who is this guy playing the host?! He is
       hilarious! Really nailing it!"
That resulted in me being led to one of his vlogs, and when I
started weeping is when I knew this was someone very special. Of
course, I must mention his fun diction and layered voice. :)
That tickles me a lot, since I am a language geek and voice
actor myself. :) I hope he is going to go really far, and, in a
way he already has. It's also a little scary, though. This kind
of communication and interconnectedness has never been seen
before in the history of human beings. I can't wait to see what
       happens.
       Thank you guys for reading.
The "that's what she said" tagline is really clever, btw. :P

I'm a Markiplite because for a long time I was in a dark place I
didn't really see anything or do anything that seemed fun.Life
was boring and pointless :-\.But when I first found Mark I saw
someone who genuinely loved what he does and cared for the
people around him for the first time in a long time. That passion
for life and what a person does is why I'm a fan of people like
Markiplier and Jacksepticeye they never fail to make me smile
       and care about others. :D

I'm a markiplier because he is my idol and I want to become as
popular as him, not old enough to be so but hopefully in my
       future, I will.
