How about this heap of a region, anyone else going St Joes to
the S16? I have to think Oregon State has a chance too.
Oklahoma has played pretty tough though, as long as Cousins
doesn't turn into a black hole and miss everything they should
       be alright.

wish i could say yes, but as much as think they are a very weak
one seed, i dont see them getting knocked out until the sweet
16... if you look at history of these bracket contests, its very
unlikely for a one to get bounced in the round of 32... sure it
happens every once in a while, but not enough to warrant the
risk of taking them to lose when 90% of your pool has them
       winning.... game theory trumps all...

Yeah, not the best decision but since they're the weakest in 10
years I can't not take a stab at it. NC State last year over
Nova and Kentucky over the Wichita State the year before were
pretty apparent, this one not so much. I play smart entries but
do more than one and I'm definitely taking some risks. There
are a lot of good potential upsets, by the numbers alone.

I am stuck at the 8 St. Joe vs. 9 Cincinnati. Now, Oregon to
lose in the sweet sixteen? To whom? Oregon already played and
beat Baylor in the regular season (74-67). Duke is the weakest 4
seed on the field. Only two scenario, either Oregon lose in the
round of 32, OR in the elite eight, and I am eyeing on the
downfall on the elite eight, but to whom? I like TAMU to deliver
       the blow.

Oregon will lose in the Round of 32 to either St. Joe's or
Cincinnati (the Bearcats especially would give Oregon a huge
matchup problem) but as a rule I don't pick a 1 seed to depart
before the Sweet Sixteen. Been burned too many times (thanks,
       '14 Memphis).

Really stuck with STJ and Cinci, but will likely go with Cinci
as they seem like they are the better team, esp rebounding and
       defending and should've beaten Uconn.
Can anyone else see VCU making another deep run? Sets up very
       well for them imo.

Going off of my last post, here is why I think OU may be in
       trouble.
Cal St Bakerfield matches up very well with them. Cal St has a
7.1 R+T margin compared to only a 2.2 margin from OU. OU has a
positive TO margin, and Cal St is 17th in the Country in TO
margin at -3.1. Cal St can turn you over, as they are 15th in
the country in defensive turnover percentage from KenPom. Cal St
defends well too, but their SOS is horrible. So, OU will likely
win this game but from a style of play standpoint, it's not a
       great matchup.
Now, on to VCU in round 2. VCU can flat turn you over, and they
are top 10 in turnover margin (-4). Their shot defense is not
great, but they've got some very talented players including
Allie-Cox inside who I don't think OU will be able t handle too
much as they are smaller. VCU has some pretty good perimeter
defenders who can possibly slow down Hield. OU and Hield haven't
been as hot shooting recently. A similar team, WVU, made Hield
almost non-existant in the B12 semis.

Agreed with all of the above. Cincinnati actually matches up
exceptionally well with Oregon's biggest weakness - defensive
rebounding. Going to be pretty difficult to shoot your way into
the second weekend if you can't keep the ball away from the
       other team.
I actually think Holy Cross might give Oregon a game for an
uncomfortable amount of time if they beat Southern; they run
this batty 1-3-1 zone that forces you to hit corner threes,
which only Tyler Dorsey is particularly adept at. Oregon also
has terrible three-point defense (264th in America) and Holy
Cross shoots 40% of their shots from deep, but they don't hit
many...though it might be wise to note they just got done
hitting 38.3% of them in the Patriot League tournament.
