Hello everyone, I'm Billy. I found this forum through a
fascinating interview to Nikolas, who really struck a string
inside as I also see the 60s as a quite dark decade, not the
       hippy dippy flower power.
When I was a child I bought the flowers and love bs, but I
remember clearly in my teens I was reading a biography of John
Lennon (I think) in which Cynthia Lennon recounted her awful
       experience with LSD.
Then there was George Harrison who saw the ugly spirit of the
aftermath of the summer of love when in one occasion he was in
San Francisco amongst the hippies. He also decided to stop
taking LSD when he saw it through a microscope. He said it
looked like a rope, if I remember correctly.
This recollections are decades old, from when I was 18 or so,
and I realised, I intuited more likely, that the 60s were a dark
decade, and the Manson case was just a reflection of that, not
something from outside, like an ugly alien landing in hippy
       dippy cielo drive.
So everything "dark 60s" greatly interests me, because it's so
       hidden from the mainstream message.
Also I should say my favourite music is from the 60s and 70s
       haha.
It's one of the most fascinating decades of humanity for me.
Thanks for accepting me in this forum and I look forward to
learn more dark details and maybe give an opinion.
       Billly
