The article helps us to understand the things we need to know to
communicate and how it can help us have a better future. The
article also tells us how to be an effective communicator, we
have to be good listeners, creative, personable, empathetic,etc.
In my opinion effective communication is important because if we
know how to communicate with other, if we know how to create a
conversation it can help us to create a good impression of
ourselves. Effective communication can help us create a stronger
relationship with people that can help us succeed in life.
When you are having a conversation it is important to use these
skills because the conversation will be more interesting and the
person will feel more comfortable talking with you.
The topic that I would like to discuss during class is illegal
immigration, because I think that everyone need the
opportunities to have a better future and I am interested to
know what they could do in this situation.

In the article "How Does Communication Impact Your Success at
Work & School?" by: Leslie Bloom, I read that knowing how to
effectively communicate with a variety of people in a variety of
settings can help you succeed in most school and work settings,
as long as you have the right skills. The impact of
communication skills is far-reaching,so it's important to hone
them. Also I have read that Knowing how to communicate doesn't
just mean knowing how to write or the right things to say to get
your message across. It goes beyond words to other elements of
nonverbal communication, which are often the most important
aspects of good communication. And that with communication we
can be successful in life,to be an effective communicator, you
should be: A good listener,Empathetic,compassionate,
encouraging,personable,articulate,creative,engaged and
authentic.
I think effective communication is important because if you
express yourself,talk to other people in a positive way,or be
friendly with them,you can make a relationship with them and
they'll want to be with you like a friend.
When I am participating in a conversation I use personable skill
because I like to talk or start a conversation with others and
ask them questions to engage them in conversations.
A topic I'd like to create a speech about "Should Zoos Exist?"
because there are many pro and con about zoos, and examples of
con and pro about if zoos should exist are: Pro: Zoos educate
the public about animals and conservation efforts. And Con: Zoos
don't educate the public enough to justify keeping animals
captive.I think this topic is very interesting.
