1. The article helps us understand how to communicate can help
us succeed in our lives. It tells us that to be an effective
communicator we have to be a good listeners, Emphatheric,
compassionate, ecouraging, personable etc...
2. In my opinion effective communication is important because
if we know how to express or communicate with others it can help
us to create important relations that will help us to succeed.
In school communication can made our life more easy since by
communicating we learn more. In work knowing how to communicate
is really important because we need to know how to present
ourselves, solve problems and talk to others. In order to create
a good image of ourselves.
3. At the time of having a conversation it is important to use
these skills since the person with whom we are talking will feel
interested in maintaining the conversation and will have the
confidence to express themselves in a better way.
4. The topic that I would like to choose is abortion, because it
is a topic in which most people have different opinions and
ideas, apart from being a topic that in my opinion is very
controversial and interesting.

In the article “How Does Communication Impact Your Success at
Work & School” by Leslie Bloom, I have read that communication
is really important in every aspect in human life. This can be
at school, work, or social life. A good communication It is
strongly connected with the development of friendships, scholar
and work opportunities. Also with the perspective that other
people have about you. The actions that makes you have a good
communications with other are being able to be a good listener,
be empathetic, compassionate, encouraging, articulated,
creative, engaged, and authentic.
I have the believe that an effective communication can open up
many opportunities through our life. It also make people feel
comfortable when they are talking with you because they feeling
the attention. Furthermore It helps the listener to understand
your ideas better.
When I participate in a group discussion I like to pay fully
attention to the person that speaks, to make them feel
comfortable. It is important to not interrupt the person that is
talking because they may feel frustrated, angry, and you can cut
their ideas up. Then they may lose the track about the topic
they was articulating about.
The topic that I will like to discuss during class is gun
control, because I think is really important to inform teenagers
about that polemic situation.

The article “Communication Impact Your Success at Work &
School?“ Is about how communicating with other people is helpful
for success at work and school. Communication is not just
speaking to other people, it goes to other elements of nonverbal
communication. To be good a communicating you should be a good
listener, empathetic, compassionate, encouraging, personable,
articulate, creative, engaged and authentic.
Effective communication is important because it can makes us
more comfortable when talking to other people, it makes us
maintain eye contact and continuing the conversation.
We can use this skills to pay attention to the person who is
talking, make him feel that the person listening are interesting
in the topic and want to continue talking about it. Also, we can
use it to make him feel proud
The topic I would choose for a presentation is animal testing
because animals shouldn’t be used as tools for humans safety.
Even if they are doing it for a cure they shouldn’t used
animals.

Alexandra, I agree with you that if you interrupt a person while
they are talking it will make them angry and forget what they
were trying to explain or say.

The article “ How Does Communication Impact Your Success

communication is such an important skill to learn, practice and
master. Communication is such an important factor in our
everyday lives and we do not notice it. We communicate with
teachers, peers and public workers. To be able to master the
concept of communication you first need to practice the nine
components of an effective communication. To start of you have
to be a good listener. Being a good listener means that you are
paying attention to the person. You should be able to reflect
back to the person about what they told you. Being empathetic
will allow you to put yourself in another person shoes and see
things from their point of view without inserting your own
judgement or beliefs. Be compassionate and connect with the
other person through kindness. Encourage the person and help
them feel appreciated and valued. When in a conversation be
personable and ask questions to stay engaged. Be articulate and
put your thoughts and ideas into writing or words. Be creative
means you are able to put the thoughts you want to transmit in
artistic mediums. When in a conversation, make sure you are
engaged. Be aware of your body language, maintain eye contact,
smile and encourage the conversation. Finally, be authentic and
always stay true to yourself and express your beliefs. According
to the article if you master these nine components, it will
impact you in a positive way when engaging with people you don’t
know.
Effective communication is not only a skill that can help
you achieve many things but it is also important when presenting
yourself. The way you speak and communicate will reflect
yourself. When meeting new people you want to make a good
impression and want to be able to sound sophisticated. Being
able to communicate in school, work or even outside is very
significant. When you speak with your peers, they notice if you
are a good listener and opportunities may arise from just a
simple conversation. When you are at school, communication can
help you build relationships needed to succeed. If you have a
good communication skill, when you find yourself at a work place
you will not have trouble conversing with people at any level of
the company. To conclude, communication is a skill that will
talk for you, reflect you and help people judge you just on the
way you converse and that is why I believe it is in fact
substantial.
These skills to master your ability to communicate can be
used in many ways. When you are listening to a speech you are
practicing to be a good listener and staying engaged. These are
important because if at the end of the presentation you get
asked a question you can reflect back because you were engaged
and paying attention to the speaker. When you are in a
conversation, it’s good to practice these skills because that
way you can start to see your weak points and are able to
strengthen them in future conversations.
The topic that I would choose for an informative
presentation is homework because many people have different
perspectives on this topic. Due to the many different topics no
one ever knows the answer to the question “¿ Is homework
beneficial ?”. Some say it does not help that it just adds more
stress and pressure and on the other hand others say it is good
practice for mastering what you previously learned.

Loida, I agree with you when you mentioned that when you are
having a conversation with a person it is important to practice
these skills because the person will be interested on keeping
the conversation going and will not be afraid to express
themselves. A feed back that i would like to give you is to
explain the nine components of an effective communication just
because the reader may be confused as to what each of those
components mean.

Alexandra, I liked how you mentioned that the communication
skills are important because when conversing, the person will
feel comfortable due to the attention that they are receiving. A

Effective communication is verbal speech, an example of
effective communication can be when you are talking to someone
and that person is actively listening to you and absorbing your
point and gets it. Also when you are doing the same thing. Been
a good communicator also requires to be, Empathetic,
compassionate, Encouraging, personable, engaged, creative and
many more.
Effective communication is important because it can help you in
negotiations, help you to make a good relationship with your
boss/teacher, and also help you to achieve your goals and to be
successful in any business.
Effective communication can help you when you are listening to a
speech because it gives you tools to understand thing better.
And when you are at a workplace because there you can more
easily build a relationship and more opportunities can come.
A topic I would choose for a presentation would be abortion
because I think the killing of a human is not a good thing to do
even though is still not born and he’s parts are still not fully
build.
