After watching the video, answer the following questions in less
than 300 words.
1. What do you think is the difference between studying and
learning?
2. When do you think you study harder: in order to get an A on a
test or to be able to teach the material to a class so that they
can get an A on their test? Why?
3. At what level (studying level or learning level) do you think
successful college students work in? Why?
4. When thinking about Bloom’s taxonomy, Where do you think high
school learning falls in this hierarchy? What about college
learning?
5. Where might different types of careers fall in this
hierarchy?
After answering the questions, please answer to two of your
classmates using between 25-30 words.

Studying is to apply oneself to the acquisition of knowledge, as
by reading, investigation, or practice. Learning is the content
and structure of knowledge in memory or the behavior of the
learner.
I think I study harder when I have to get an A on an exam
because it's up to me to get good grades and graduate. The smart
practice for this is the effort because I put all my effort to
keep studying hard and get an A on the exam.
Successful college students work at the learning level because
on most campuses they present many opportunities to redesign
spaces to help students gain knowledge, gain skills, and develop
personally.
I think high school learning falls into analyzing because it's
where young people start thinking more deeply, understanding the
material and being more organized. University learning would
fall into evaluate because it is where university students can
argue, use critical thinking and can make their own decisions.
Different types of careers could fall into creation because you
can produce new jobs by bringing together all the elements
you've learned.

I believe the difference between studying and learning is that
when you learn you are gathering new knowledge and you are
encouraged to ask question about all this new information. On
the other hand, studying is putting that knowledge that you
previously learned into practice. You apply that knowledge
somewhere else.
I think that I would study harder when I have to teach the
material to a class so they can get an A on the test because
when you are teaching any material you need to know it well.
It’s different if I were studying for myself because I can come
up with shortcuts and strategies that can help me personally but
those same shortcuts and strategies may not work the same for
others. So yes, I believe that I would study harder if I had to
teach the material to other people.
I believe that college students work at a studying level. I say
this because yes you can learn something but when you study and
you put it to practice, that’s when you master the material.
Studying requires independence and effort coming within the
student. Anybody can learn but not everyone can have a good
study.
When I think about Boom’s taxonomy, I think that high school
learning falls under analyze. I say this because in high school
it’s hard to find someone that can master all of the elements
and be at the top of the hierarchy. High school is where young
adults start to develop their critical thinking and a good
higher order thinking. As for college learning, I think it’s at
the top of the hierarchy because in college you are taking
bigger steps your doing everything with more efficiency and your
analyzing with more depth. College is a more developed version
of high school.
I believe that different types of careers fall under create
because when you are at that point in the hierarchy, you use all
the previous elements and apply them into becoming successful.
Many careers look for someone who is at the top of the Bloom’s
taxonomy hierarchy.

Eyda, I agree with you when you said that high school falls
under the analyze level of the hierarchy. A feedback that I
would like to give you is to next time explain just a little
further, I would like to know more about your thinking.

The difference between learning and studying is that learning
means to gain knowledge or strategies by studying. And studying
means to memorize things, read, and when you study something is
because you are about to learn it .
You study harder when you are going to teach the material to a
class because you have to really know the material so you can
give strategies to the peoples that learning so they can
understand it.
Successful college students work in study level because they are
more independent and give more effort to the things they do.
I think high school learning falls in “apply” in this hierarchy
because maybe high school students still can’t master the next
domain which is to analyze, to examínate and distinguish ideas.
And in college I think learning falls in create because college
students should already know how to produce new or original
work.
And some careers might fall in create because in a career you
should know how to produce your work and how to make your own
original work.

The difference between studying and learning is that studying is
a self effort and it is only done if that person is capable to
do it. And learning is something you are given from others.
When you need to teach the material to a class is harder because
you need to remember and know how to explain it to them. And
find good strategies to show them.
Successful college students work in studying level because they
are more independent and they give more effort to their studies
than anyone else.
High school students learning falls in understanding because
some students read articles without understanding what It is
about and don’t understand some of the words in it. College
students learning falls in create because they may not know how
to make a work of their knowledge and show it to other people.
Different types of career may fall in create because you can’t
get to a career if you don’t know all the things at the bottom
of create. And bringing your original work may be the hardest
thing of a career

Jade i agree with you that when you are learning something you
are gathering new knowledge and that when you are studying
something is when you practice something you already learn.

Sael I agree with you where you said that in a career you should
be at Create because you should already know everything above it

you have an original work.
