Terra Stregada (+18)

Warning, the story idea may have objectionable content. Mainly
relating to heavy gore and sexual encounters.
This is for completed chapters only. You can leave your
review/critique/opinion about them at the Discussion Board

TERRA STREGADA
Plot:
"Terra Stregada" is a popular gothic horror MMORPG played by
teens to young adults. It is a renaissance-inspired world
plagued with Ghosts, Zombies, and other supernatural undead
creatures. Most of the dungeons are not typical dungeons but
graves, mansions, castles, and more. All players take the role
of an exorcist with a type-class of his/her own. The game has
its own backstory on how this world was plagued by the undead.
The story begins with a female young adult named Caprice (her
avatar name) who quit originally played the game and quit when
the game started to become popular. Caprice has a tendency to
quit a lot of games and never feels satisfied or entertained.
When the 13th update was said to make the game even more
entertaining than ever and expanding its world by half, Caprice
decided to give it one more chance. After one night of playing
the game, she gets bored and decides to quit again, but right
before she was about to log out, the the clock tower of the
in-game home town strikes midnight and suddenly everyone in the
game is unable to log out.
A mysterious cloaked woman claimed to be the Ghost of Haunted
World and cursed all the players into being bound by the game.
No player recognized any in-game backstory involving such a
claim. The Woman said that in order to escape the game, players
must work together and find more about the hidden backstory
relating to her all over the game. She warns them that something
"terrible" will happen if they die in-game.
Players reach a new level of fear that they've never dealt
before..Now Caprice is looking for a way out of the game, but as
she plays the game, she becomes actually entertained for the
first time in her life.
Concept: I was clearly inspired by dot-hack series (particularly
.hack//sign) when i approached this story. There was something
unique about "The World" that really drew me in. Particularly
the main character,Tsukasa. But i'm also very interested in the
gothic horror that Castlevania provided. So its something new
and fresh.
I decided to move it hear instead because chapters are about to
be complete and it's easier to find the chapters. Additionally
the concept is very solid and not subject to chanfe.

CHAPTER I - Part 1
SCENE:
A large empty room covered in thorn-like chains. A black coffin
with silver lining is standing in the middle of the room wrapped
with the thorn-like chains.
ACTION:
The coffin begins to engulf in green flames from the inside and
escape through the opening. The chains catch in flames and the
coffin begins to open. A shot of the persons feet are shown to
walk out of the coffin and appear feminine.
SCENE:
A large medieval Gothic castle surrounded by forest and stormy
weather. The castle has black spires and several gargoyles
sitting at the corners of the spires. Inside the castle, two
individuals are walking down a hallway. One is a male Knight
wearing light, pale, silver armor. He has white colored cornea
with black schlera, and silver hair. He has no expression on his
face. The other is a Black haired woman with blue colored eyes,
wearing a white and grey cleric uniform with the same crest. She
has a straight face with eyes showing slight disinterest. The
Hallway that they are walking in shows windows on their left
with a series of stone statues lined up on both sides. The
statues resemble a beautiful woman and are aligned in a way
where it appears to be stages of a transformation of a grotesque
demon-like beast.
ACTION:
The statues begin to animate and attack the two. The Silver
Knight wields an oversized two-handed sword while the Cleric
summons her staff. The Knight runs toward two statues and
slashes both of them with a single strike. Numbers flash for an
instant and the two statues let out a scream before crumbling
into pieces. The Cleric used her staff to summon a bright light
and shine it on the remaining statues. The statues let out a
short scream and turned to ashes. The two continue to walk.
DIALOGUE:
Silver Knight: Do you need any ether?
Cleric: No. They weren't that hard.
Silver Knight: Good, this will be a cakewalk.
Cleric: Don't jinx it.
Silver Knight: Hard to believe someone as like you believes in
such things.
Cleric: Let's just keep moving. We're wasting time.
ACTION:
The two continue to walk and defeat more statues. They
eventually reach a large decorated door.
DIALOGUE:
Silver Knight: Here it is. Are you ready?
Cleric: Of course.
ACTION:
The two open the large door and leads them to a beautiful
ballroom with a dome skyline. The two see someone standing in
front of a large golden statue of a woman. She is wearing black
armor with dragon-like features. She has lavender hair with one
red eye and one gold eye.
DIALOGUE:
Silver Knight: Whoa, how did someone get past us?
Cleric: I don't know. You there, how long have you been
exploring this dungeon?
Woman: ...
Silver Statue: She doesn't seem too talkative. Guess she's the
anti-social type.
ACTION:
The gold statue starts to rise from the ground, revealing that
the form of an even bigger grotesque monster. The Silver Knight
and Cleric summon their weapons. The Woman summons two
mismatched swords. Cleric shoots fireballs at the monster part
with numbers ranging from 10-30 flashing. The Silver Knight
drags his sword and hits it at the same spot but also flashes
within 05-15.
DIALOGUE:
Cleric: What the-? Our attacks aren't working!
Silver Knight: Let me try something else.
ACTION:
The Knight runs toward the monster again drags his blade but
this time it starts to glow and leave a bigger mark on the
ground. The woman outruns the Knight and lunges toward the
statue monster and with both swords, stabs the humanoid part.
Both the human half and the monster half begin to scream loudly
and then crumble away. Giant letters flash in thin air saying
"Exorcism Complete"
DIALOGUE:
Cleric: She must've cleared out the stronger enemies and left
the weaker ones behind.
Silver Knight: Damn...I thought we were ready for this one.
ACTION:
A large chest appears in front of the Woman. She opens it and
looks inside. She sighs, leaves the chest intact, and walks
away.
DIALOGUE:
Silver Knight: Hey! Didn't you want your reward?
Woman: ...This monster wasn't entertaining at all. I don't want
any of the items.
Silver Knight: Are you serious?
Woman: How strange.
Cleric: ...Whats your name?
Woman: ...Caprice.
Cleric: My name is Sarah-Lighthart. His name is Weiss. We're in
the Silver Saints Guild, perhaps you've heard of us?
Caprice: Sounds familiar...
Weiss: We're the one of the strongest Guilds in Terra Stregada.
We could use someone like you. We'll reward you with many master
class weapons and armor.
Caprice: Not interested.
Sarah-Lighthart: Are we too weak for you?
Caprice: No. I just prefer a challenge.
Sarah-Lighthart: Suit yourself.
ACTION:
The mysterious woman walks into a magic circle near the entrance
and teleports her away. Sarah-Lighthart and Weiss stare briefly
at the direction she left.
DIALOGUE:
Sarah-Lighthart: What a strange one.
Weiss: Yeah, too bad we didn't get to know more about her.
Sarah-Lighthart: You think she could've been a valuable member?
Weiss: Well no point thinking about it now. There's plenty of
people to recruit. Lets just claim the reward and head back.
SCENE:
Caprice is seen walking in some tall dark woods covered in fog.
Above her blue wisps fly above her.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice's thoughts: Another boring dungeon. The latest expansion
didn't really do much after all.
ACTION:
A mysterious female figure wearing a black cloak is shown above
the trees and wisps staring down at Caprice. Her eyes widen and
disappears into the light.
SCENE:
Caprice arrives at a large medieval town with a strong fantasy
and dark influence. The houses are Victorian style with windows
plastered with bright Halloween color tint such as orange, lime
green, and violet. The shingles of the roofs range of dark
colors. The lanterns are bent, twisted and slightly out of
proportion. The lanterns all contain various colors of fire as
well. At the center, a large fountain in the middle with an
ivory statue of a woman with six wings on her back. Large groups
of people in the area are wearing Venetian style clothing mixed
with vibrant Halloween colors, mainly shades of purple.
ACTION:
A duo appear to be walking casually in the center of town. One
is a female who appears to be a tamer. Wearing high heel
toe-less boots with dark nail-polish on both hands and feet. She
has crimson red eyes and short pale green hair that turns
slightly teal at the ends. Her clothes comprise of light and
dark green argyle diamond pattern. And she carries a whip on
right side of her hip and holsters a pistol on her left. The
second is a male Archivist. He wears scholar like robes, a
beret, glasses, and a bag filled with books. Has pale brown hair
his eye color is indistinguishable.
DIALOGUE:
Tamer: Well that's just great. He actually quit.
Archivist: Well he was bound to quit the game. He kept getting
scared by the first floor of every dungeon. Clearly TS wasn't
meant for him.
Tamer: Yeah, you're right. But now we have no guild. We need a
minimum of three members. If we don't find a new by seven days,
we're going to lose our Guild hall as well.
Archivist: We'll find someone. I checked the game's activity. It
has had a sudden rise in new members since the latest expansion.
ACTION:
A group of players run pass the two hastily, bumping into the
Tamer. The Tamer reacts loudly.
DIALOGUE:
Tamer: Hey watch it!
ACTION:
The two look into the direction they headed and noticed a large
group of players.
Archivist: Hey, check it out. What's that about?
Tamer: I don't know. Maybe a fire sale?
ACTION:
They walk up to and squeeze through the crowd. They see Caprice
unmasked with her feet on the table and leaning on her chair.
The table contains weapons that give off a radiant glow and
sparkle. A group of knights and mages are in awe at the items
they see.
DIALOGUE:
Knight: This sword is the Sword of Beelzebub! Its an S-class
weapon. How much are you selling this?
Caprice: How much do you have on you?
Knight: I have 1400 gold, but I have over 200K saved up in the
bank! If you could reserve it for me. I can get the 200K from
my bank!
Caprice: You really want that sword, don't you?
Knight: Yes, I do!
Caprice: I'll sell it to you for the 1400 gold you have now.
Knight: Really!? Wow, Thank you!!
ACTION:
Everyone is in shock. The Knight bows and walks away with his
new weapon. The Tamer looks at him walk away in a slightly
impressed expression, she looks back at what Caprice is selling,
and notices a specific whip that is glowing. It is a black whip
with a red glow. The whip has thorns on the lash and purple
flowers decorating the hilt. The tamer grows deep interest in
the whip. Caprice notices.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice: You like that whip?
Tamer: Yeah I do.
Caprice: Why don't you hold it and take a look if you want it.
ACTION:
The tamer picks it up and has it's stats revealed.
Tamer: Whoah! Look at the stats of this whip! Its a master-class
weapon!
Archivist: I've seen that whip before. It was one of the weapons
shown off in the latest expansion trailer.
Caprice: You want it? I'll sell it to you for 200K.
Tamer: What? Master class is normally sold by 500k at least. Why
so generous?
Caprice: I just decided to quit this game is all.
Tamer: Quit!? How can you quit? Terra Stregada is one of the
most unique MMORPGs out there. They just released the latest
expansion too!
Caprice: So far, it hasn't stopped me from getting bored.
Tamer's thoughts: Bored? I've never heard of a player say that
before...
ACTION:
The tamer crosses her arms and thinks for a while. The Archivist
looks at her with a skeptical expression as she thinks.
DIALOGUE:
Tamer: I see...when do you leave?
Caprice: Probably in a couple days. I still have a ton to sell.
ACTION:
The Tamer has a sudden smile to her face. The Archivist has a
nervous expression in reaction to her.
DIALOGUE:
Tamer: since you are quitting, how about joining us on a quest?
Every one who quits goes on one last adventure! The latest
expansion has just offered over 50 new quests. I'm sure you
haven't beaten them all just yet.
Caprice: I think I'll pass. I've raided about 20 already and
they didn't do it for me.
Tamer: Won't you please reconsider? There has to be some quest
out there that you would like to try.
ACTION:
The group around Caprice's stall get excited.
DIALOGUE:
Man: Yeah! We could all go together. It'll be fun!
Woman: With such an experienced group of players like us, I'm
sure we can all enjoy ourselves.
Boy: Yeah!
Caprice's thoughts: Why are they suddenly so interested? I
suppose I can humor them a little.
Caprice: There probably is one in particular.
Tamer: Name it! I'm sure we can beat it.
Caprice: The latest expansion added the Grave of the Crimson
Knights quest. No one has beaten it yet.
ACTION:
Everyone remains quiet with a few people leaving her stand. The
others whispers between themselves and say bye. The only one who
remains is the tamer, archivist, and Caprice.
DIALOGUE:
Tamer: OK, Sounds good! We can prepare and meet you here around
8:00am mountain time?
Archivist: M-Morrigan...
Morrigan: We're up for it, right Allister?
Allister: R-Right! I suppose...
Caprice: Then i guess its settled. I'll add you two into my
acquaintance list and we'll start tomorrow.
Allister: S-sounds good.
Caprice: Allister...and...Morrigan. Welcome to my list, I'm
Caprice. I need to go do some things in RL, we'll talk soon.
ACTION:
Caprice waves as she walks away from her stand. Both her and her
stand disappear in a pillar of light. Morrigan walks toward
another direction with her hands on the back of her head.
Allister took a while and caught up with Allister in a nervous
manner.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: Weren't you a little hasty accepting that offer? That
quest is dangerous!
Morrigan: How bad could it be? We've dealt with one of the
hardest quests here before, haven't we?
Allister: The latest expansion has quadrupled the penalty on the
new quests. We have to wager 200K each for that one. Its part of
the new betting system. If we lose, we lose that money and we
lose all our equipped inventory too until it equals that amount.
The Silver Saints Guild lost 1million with that quest already
ontop of buying there equipment again.
Morrigan: Who cares about them. They think they're the toughest
Guild, but they just have strong vets backing them up.
Allister: ....
Morrigan: We've been playing for a couple years and we haven't
lost a dungeon recently. Even on the new expansion, I'm sure we
can handle it. Who cares if they lost the money. That's them!
Allister: That's what I thought when I checked it out but the
enemies are above our max level. Its highly recommended to use
tactical play as much as quality weapons, armor, and tonics.
There's not even a proper walk through yet online!
ACTION:
Morrigan shows a slight nervous expression and crosses her arms.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: Well we can't back down now. We have to make this
work. She gave me a good deal on the whip...and she didn't even
have to. Isn't that a little weird?
Allister: I thought it's because you can't help seeing someone
leave this game?
Morrigan: That's true. But there was something odd about her. I
want to find out a little more.
Allister: I don't think we should go through with this.
Morrigan: Oh grow some chest hair, will you? Did you see those
weapons? Some of them were from the latest expansion. And they
were high ranked weapons. If she can handle it, then it'll be
fine.
Allister: There's no changing your mind, is there?...Fine, what
do you suppose we do?
Morrigan: Remember the money we were saving for our guild hall
upgrade?
Allister: I knew you were going to bring that up. I guess
there's no point in a guild hall anymore either since we have
insufficient members.
Morrigan: Exactly, let's use the money and split it. We'll buy
all the armor and weapons we need and even some extra tonics and
ether. Who knows, we might end up incredibly lucky and win all
our gold back. Or better yet, gain a new member.
Allister: Alright, but you better take this seriously. We can't
afford to lose anymore out of this.
Morrigan: Does that quest offer a scouting fee?
Allister: yes, about 75K. You'll only be able to see two thirds
of the dungeon in scout mode. So we should be prepared for
anything.
Morrigan: Whatever advantage we can get, right? I'm heading out
there now, you prepare the rest OK?
Allister: OK. I will.
ACTION:
Two pillar of lights appears above them and they disappear.

CHAPTER I - Part 2
SCENE:
A young woman is seen sitting in a room that is a complete mess.
The young woman is wearing a oversized t-shirt and underwear and
a head device similar to oculus rift with one of her arm covered
in tattoos. Her hair is also a mess and has baggy eyes. The room
is filled with Rubik's cubes and other forms of puzzles
including drafts of puzzle designs.
ACTION: The young woman takes off the device and covers her face
with her hand. A smartphone alerts her of an incoming call and
she answers it. And starts to play with a 13 by 13 Rubik's cube
as she speaks, putting it in various patterns and solving it
repeatedly.
DIALOGUE:
Young woman: Hello? ...oh....yes...I just finished solving the
puzzle, I'll give you my review. It will need a few adjustments
in order to be more engaging. Yes...I understand...I already
drafted the latest Design for the next one...i see...by the way,
what did you think of my music box puzzle? I see....let me know
if it's too difficult....OK...goodbye...
ACTION:
The Young woman hangs up the phone. And walks out of her room.
SCENE:
A living room, a small open kitchen and a stairway in between
the two. Both areas are far cleaner than the previous room.
Another person is there making dinner. He appears to be similar
age as the young woman but dressed normally. Has short spiky
hair and wears glasses. Has a serious demeanor.
ACTION:
The young woman walks down from her stairway in a sluggish
fashion and reaches the kitchen where she sits on a dining
chair. The man notices her.
DIALOGUE:
Man: Oh so you finally stopped looking at screens?
Young Woman: ...yes, sorry it took longer than expected...how
was you day?
Young man: The same people complain about their steak not being
rare enough. Idiots don't know there are health regulations I
have to work by. I can't just give them raw food.
Young Woman: I guess that's why you're the head chef.
ACTION:
The man serves her salmon and a side of rice and reaches for a
kiss. He then sits across from her and begins to eat. She pulls
out her phone and begins to play a smartphone game.
Young Man: Seriously...Brigid, I barely get any time to be with
you with our jobs keeping us apart.
Young Woman: ....
ACTION:
She looks at him and puts it away.
DIALOGUE:
Brigid: you're right. Sorry.
ACTION:
The two begin to eat their food silently without looking at
eachother. The young man makes more of an attempt to look at
her.
DIALOGUE:
Young man: you know I noticed those bags under your eyes, the
puffiness is due to the lack of sleep and the black rings is due
to the lack of iron. You haven't been sleeping or eating
efficiently at all.
Brigid: I just get so worked up over work, Adam.
Adam: well I worry about you, you know?
Brigid: ... yes, I know.
Adam: So how was work today?
Brigid: It was so-so. I was working on a new puzzle for the
company. After that and took a break by playing an MMO.
Adam: oh...
ACTION:
Adam looks at her slightly irritated. She notices and looks back
down at her food. He notices her looking away and sighs.
DIALOGUE:
Adam: Do you have any friends in these MMOs?
Brigid: Not usually. I prefer to play alone.
Adam: I see... odd choice of a game to play then.
Brigid: Well... actually, I did meet a couple of players today
who were determined to spend time with me before I quit. They
wanted to meet me tomorrow for a new quest I knew they weren't
ready for.
Adam: Do you plan on seeing them?
Brigid: Not really. I just said that so they can let me leave
alone. I planned on quitting Terra Stregada anyways.
Adam: You were playing TS?
Brigid: Y-yes? Do you play?
Adam: No but a coworker does. Interesting concept. An mmo
designed around horror. i heard its a cult hit. Did these people
treat you nice?
Brigid: yes.
Adam: well since you're quitting anyways you might as well keep
your promise. am I right?
Brigid: you're right. It won't hurt me at all.
Adam: good. So how is it?
Brigid: Its a good game. It has incredibly high difficulty. My
kind of game. But not as challenging as I hoped.
Adam: that's not what I meant.
ACTION:
Brigid shows a blank expression as she gets a bite to eat and
Adam looks slightly angry. Her eyes widen slightly and bows her
head.
DIALOGUE:
Brigid: O-oh right. Dinner is amazing...as always...thank you.
Adam: Typical Brigid. I'm over it, really. Do you want to head
to bed after dinner?
Brigid: Yes.
SCENE:
A different bedroom that is cleaner with a queen size bed. The
two are in the bed with shears covering them.
ACTION:
The two are not wearing clothes and are covered in light sweat.
Several tattoos can be seen on her body including ankle, and
back along side a navel piercing. Most of the scene is covered
in shadows to block the explicit areas. One of the acts is her
getting choked by one of his hands as she has her hand on his
chest.
DIALOGUE:
Brigid: S-squeeze h-harder.
Adam: O-ok.
ACTION:
She collapse over him as they both breathe heavily. She starts
to get out of bed and put on her clothes. Adam has a tired
expression on his face. She looks at him as she finishes.
DIALOGUE:
Brigid: I'm going to my bedroom now. Is that OK?
Adam: You don't have to ask me every time...at least we're a
couple where it counts, right?
ACTION:
Brigid looks down with a upset expression.
DIALOGUE:
Brigid: I know I'm not normal, but I want to be a better
girlfriend. Maybe I should stay anyways
Adam: The last time we tried actually sleeping together you had
a panic attack and you kept saying you were breathing too much
air...I don't want to risk your health. Its fine honestly. Just
get some sleep.
ACTION:
Brigid looks away and remains still for a significant amount of
time.
DIALOGUE:
Brigid: I'll see you tomorrow.
ACTION:
Brigid gives him a kiss on the cheek, walks away and leaves the
room. The door slowly closes as Adam sees her off.
SCENE:
Brigid's messy room. Brigid is seen lying in her bed full of
papers with her eyes wide open.
DIALOGUE:
Brigid: Why can't I fall asleep?
ACTION:
Brigid looks across the room and stares at her headset and
monitor. She walks up to it, puts on the headset and opens Terra
Stregada. Adam walks across the hallway to see light coming from
Brigid's room. He takes a peak and sees Brigid playing the game.
DIALOGUE:
Adam's thoughts: She can't sleep with me for one whole night but
can ruin herself countless nights over these games..I'm at my
limit.
SCENE:
A vast grassy field filled with large spikes stones.
ACTION:
Caprice is in the field fighting some large stone creatures. The
mysterious female figure is seen staring at her again from a
large distance. She squints her eyes, raises her hand and shoots
at one of the stone creatures that Caprice is battling. The
stone creatures begins to glow and the remains of the previous
stone creatures pile on to build a larger and more menacing
stone creature.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice: This was unexpected. Did I trigger a special event?
ACTION:
The larger stone creatures attacks with full force. Caprice
attempts to block it but barely was able to keep her position.
Caprice looks at her stats to see her stamina has drained
completely.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice: This is new...better start using a bit more effort.
ACTION:
The giant stone creatures sends another punch at full force.
Caprice decides to jump and run on the arm towards the head. She
swings her swords across and manages to behead the giant stone
creature. The mysterious female figure is shocked, let's out a
small grin, and disappears in the fog.
Mysterious Female figure: It appears this world is ready for me
after all.
SCENE:
Brigid's room with morning light coming through her windows.
ACTION:
Brigid wakes up from her desk with the headset still on her, she
takes it off and walks sluggishly into the kitchen. As she looks
around she noticed something.
DIALOGUE:
Brigid: No breakfast in the table? Is Adam sleeping in?
ACTION:
Brigid walks into Adams room only to see a note on his bed.
Brigid begins to read it. A close up of it saying "Brigid, we've
been together for as long as I can remember and as much as I
feel like I'm healing your wounds it seems I'm only opening them
up again whenever I get closer. I look at you and I see the face
of someone who is addicted and can't change. I thought you would
grow out of this hobby of yours, but you are getting worst, and
so am I. I know I'm addicted too. I'm addicted to someone who
can never fully love me. Thats why I decided to leave as soon as
i could. Ill return soon for my things once i find a stable
place to live. For now, I'll be with a friend.
DIALOGUE:
Brigid thoughts: Its been 4 years and 3 months since we been
together. He should've realized that sooner...
ACTION:
Tiny drops of water fall on the note. Brigid is shown just
standing in the room with her back turned.
DIALOGUE:
Brigid: I'm so sorry Adam...
SCENE:
Inside the Terra Stregada game. Allister and Morrigan are
waiting in town square.
Morrigan: Where could she be? It's almost noon.
Allister: I think we got ditched.
Morrigan: You should be more optimistic, she said she would
come.
Allister: She could've said that just so we would leave her
alone. Not the first time we've been lied to.
Morrigan: We spent all our money for this quest. Its not like we
can give up now. Even if she doesn't come we can save what we
used for another time.
ACTION:
A beam of light transports Caprice into the game. Morrigan and
Allister see her. Caprice has a slightly depressed expression.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: Hey! You came after all!
Caprice: I guess I did.
Allister: Are you OK?
Caprice: I'll be fine...this is my last quest before I quit the
game for good.
Morrigan: Well I'm happy you get to spend it with us. We almost
thought you wouldn't make it.
Caprice: So what's the strategy?
ACTION:
Morrigan pulls out a map filled with circles, lines, and Xs.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: I used scout mode in the grave of the crimson
knights. Its located in the edge of the Land of Memorial. Scout
mode only allowed me to go in at the first two floors. They are
filled with zombie knights all wearing garnet armor. all level
90.
Caprice: ...
Allister: Good job, zombies are weakened to fire and lightning.
And Garnet armor isn't too much of a boost either. Are there any
traps?
Morrigan: Yeah, avoid floors in a tile pattern and just stick
with the brick pattern. If you fall for it, level 110 zombie
knights appear for every second you are in the area. For the
second floor, both Tile floors and decorated hallways bring out
110 enemies.
Caprice: Interesting. (Thoughts: They sure are into it. I
checked it out myself, it's virtually impossible when you hit
the 3rd floor, the enemies start to take half your health for
every hit. And yet, for some reason they seem to know what
they're doing. Maybe they're more reliable than I thought.)
Allister: I have been saving some Master-class books for a
special occasion. Hopefully I would be able to absorb a powerful
rare monster.
Morrigan: By the way, what job-class are you?
Caprice: I'm a level 60 Harlequin.
Allister: Harlequin? That job-class randomizes your special stat
bonus when you level up. You also have access to all weapons of
all job-classes, but the downside is you can't wield the
master-class weapons of another class. You're only restricted
with Harlequin master equipment at best. Why did you pick such
an odd class?
Caprice: It suits me. I want to try out as many weapons as I
possibly can. And I don't mind not having the strongest weapon.
Morrigan: What kind of role do you take in battle? Are you a
leader? freelancer? Beserker? Supporter?
Caprice: I'm a beserker type. I'm sorry if that's inconvenient
for you.
Morrigan: Thats OK with us. Allister and I are support types. My
tamer class is usually designed to slowing down enemies and
Allister archivist class allows him to summon monsters he
previously archived to assist which could be healing or for
combat.
Allister: I also have three bags worth of tonics and ethers.
This might not be so impossible after all.
Caprice's thoughts: Don't bet on it.
Morrigan: Caprice, you can go ahead of us and just do what you
like. We'll support you. I'll be more offensive support while
Allister uses his books to defend you.
Caprice: Sounds good.
Allister: Also, let's try to not use or limit breaks until the
3rd floor. I have a feeling once we reach there, that's where
the real action begins.
Caprice: OK...I think we got everything mapped out, let's head
out.
Morrigan and Allister: Right.
Caprice's thoughts: The sooner I get this over with, the sooner
I can leave and dedicate my time redeeming myself to Adam.
ACTION:
Pillars of light shines over them and they disappear.
SCENE:
A large area with valleys and hills completely filled with
tombstones, mausoleums, and other graveyard decorations. The sky
has a large moon lighting the entire area.
ACTION:
The three arrive and begin to walk in the pathway.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan:It is a bit of a walk before we get there. Since we're
going to work together, I thought we'd all get to know each
other better.
Caprice: What's to know? I played Terra Stregada and after this,
I wont.
Morrigan: Well let's start off with some simple questions and
slowly move up. How old are you?
Caprice: I'm 28
Allister's thoughts: whoah, she's older.
Morrigan: I'm 24. Allister is 20.
Allister: ...
Caprice: Mind if I ask you something?
ACTION:
Caprice stops walking and the two turn back and notice.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice: Why are you doing this? You don't have to go on this
near-impossible quest with me.
Morrigan: We know...
Caprice: so why?
Morrigan: Terra Stregada just slowly losing players. Its not fun
when you dont have many people to play with. The game isn't the
problem, Its the fans. Too many people quit because they get
scared to easily.
Caprice's thoughts: Thats right. Many people gave universal
acclaim for Terra Stregada. But almost everyone had complaints
about the game not being easy and people we're starting to get
serious nightmares when they moved to advance quests. Still many
did continued to play despite that. I wonder why...
Morrigan: But you...you're not like them, are you? You seem to
be able to handle what the game has to offer. But you're still
quitting? I dont get it. I guess you just peaked my curiosity on
what kind of player you are.
Caprice: ...
Morrigan: Everyone felt like this game was ever alive? I know
others might have said that about other MMOS, but I've played
practically most of them. Terra Stregada is different though.
Don't you Agree?
Caprice: I can't argue that it's different from the other MMOS.
(Thoughts: but to say that the game is alive? I definitely need
to quit to get away from you crazy fans).
Allister: We were once in a guild dedicated to changing peoples
mind about the game and supporting it. We recently lost so many
members that we're not considered a guild anymore. Morrigan and
I are planning on making a comeback though and bring back the
Guild.
Morrigan: May take a while. We spent all our gold on this quest.
So we better make this worth it.
Caprice: I see...You two are something I haven't seen in a long
time.
Morrigan: is that a compliment?
Caprice: let's go.
ACTION:
The three arrive to a large mausoleum with a bright red shield
and sword decoration over it. Two statues are at the side of the
entrance appearing as Knights.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: alright! Lets go in. Are you ready!?
Caprice: yep...
Allister: as I'll ever be.
ACTION:
The three walk into the Mausoleum. Sarah-lighthart and Weiss
from a distance are walking by and notice the three.
DIALOGUE:
Weiss: Was that...?
Sarah-lighthart: She was the one who helped us out in the
previous quest.
Weiss: She went into the grave of the crimson knights with two
others? Guess she's in a guild after all.
Sarah-Lighthart: Who knows, they could just be friends. We
should head to town square and speak with an administrator. I
haven't been able to log out or report bugs.
Weiss: Same here. I'm sure they'll be able to fix it soon.

CHAPTER I - Part 3
SCENE:
A large circular dungeon-like room filled with sets of red
armor. a stairway leading underground is at the center.
ACTION:
Caprice walks into the stairway first, Morrigan and Allister
follow behind. A series of hallways splitting three ways appears
in front of them. Caprice looks around and notices only one of
the halls is brick pattern floors and walks towards it.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice: This way.
ACTION:
A group of undead wearing generic armor appear in front of them.
Caprice summons her mismatched dual swords while Allister has a
book prepared. She quickly attacks them and kills them
instantly. Two skeleton knights jump out of the ceiling and
attack Caprice. Morrigan quickly uses her whip and restrains
them from attacking and uses her pistol to shoot each of them
on the head. Allister opens his book and unleashes a fire
monster from within it to kill the other skeleton.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice's thoughts: Morrigan the Tamer class and Allister the
Archivist. Tamers arent normal exorcists, they don't kill as
many poltergeist like regular exorcists, their strengths lie in
distracting or unabling them.
ACTION:
Allister reads the book as the monster attacks the other
knights. Suggesting that he controls it by reading the book.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice: Archivists are a class that trap poltergeist in
spellbounded books to use at a later time. Each monster can be
used for a certain amount of time based on their level...these
two are indeed support class like they said, but they are
heavily handicapped. They would never be able to handle a
dungeon like this even if they were at the right level...
ACTION:
Morrigan and Allister attack simultaeniously to the last group
of skeletons.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: 2nd floor cleared! This was easier than I thought!
ACTION:
A Zombie Knight burst from a underneathe the floor and
jump-scares Morrigan. Caprice pierces the Zombie Knight and
kills it.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: T-that was close...
Caprice: Scouting doesn't show you the poltergheist set for
jump-scares. You shouldn't let your guard down.
Allister: Hehehe, you were so scared you fell on your butt.
Morrigan: Oh shut up. The Lake of the Jersey devil quest was
scarier than that. I just let my guard down.
ACTION:
The three chuckle a bit and continue walking. As they walk they
all work together and start killing the zombie knights. Each one
appearing to work in harmony.
SCENE:
They are in the third floor. There is more open spaces with vast
bottomless pits and long bridges.
ACTION:
The three continue to battle hoards of enemies together over a
long bridge. Caprice is clearing the way ahead of them as
Morrigan is supporting the back. Allister is switching between
both sides as he tries to support both the front and back.
Allister notices Caprice's tactics.
DIALOGUE:
Allister's thoughts: the Dark knights' blade and a silver
knights sword. Both normally incompatible to be wielded by a
single person since they are exclusive to their class. But since
she is Harlequin class, she can wield almost any weapon. I
remember the blades shes wielding too! The Dark soul eater blade
gains more health per every strike and the Cherub gains more
attack per every successful block. Doesn't matter about how
randomized her special stats are, she can easily gain enough
strength to kill them instantly. Those weapons are nearly
impossible to gain...she must've played for years or binged to
get both those weapons.
Caprice's thoughts: its so strange...im actually enjoying
myself. These enemies are near impossible to beat on my own, and
the dungeon is somewhat predictable and long. I normally
wouldn't put any effort at all and be allowed to get killed. And
yet for some reason, I'm having fun with them. Is this is what
it's like to join a guild?
ACTION:
A larger group of skeletons knights rushes behind them.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: Switch!
ACTION:
Morrigan and Caprice switch places as Morrigan finishes the
remaining ones in front of them and Caprice supports them from
the back.
Morrigan thoughts: I was just about to clarify but it looks like
she got the hang of us. She has clearly done this before.
ACTION:
They cleared the enemies and run through the long bridge.
Eventually they reach a large stone door with a picture of a Red
Knight. The three are panting and slightly sweaty.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: We finally made it. Who knew we would get this far?
Morrigan: Isn't it strange that we're out of breath?
Caprice: you're right...it might just be the adrenaline.
Allister: We're here though. No walkthrough or guide exists. We
could be the first to write it or record it online for a second
play through.
Morrigan: Let's have them figure it out. Most players prefer not
to use guides anyways. Lets just go in and beat the boss
already.
Caprice: Agreed. (Thoughts: This was fun, but once we're done I
have one more thing to do in the real world. Can't lie that'll
miss them though.)
ACTION:
The three open the big door. Inside shows a legion of crimson
armor all placed in a kneeling pose with one sword and shield.
In the middle a crimson Knight with a cape and a different
helmet is standing with it's sword placed on the ground. The
armor begin to animate and wield their weapons slowly
surrounding the three. The three line up in a triangle position.
Morrigan: There's too many and are way stronger than the
previous skeletons and zombies...we won't be able to support you
like we were doing so far.
Allister: I just used my study ability on them. These lvl 110
knights aren't wearing garnet anymore. Its a stronger armor
simply called "sanguine armor". I think its time we use our
limit breaks.
Caprice: Not yet...Allister, use your master-class books.
Morrigan, support him from now on. You'll fight the smaller
crimson knights. I'll focus on the boss.
Morrigan: What about you? You can't possibly handle it on your
own without support!
Caprice: It'll be fine!
ACTION:
The crimson knights attack all three at once. Caprice blocks the
attack with her swords.
Caprice: Hurry up! I can handle this!
Allister: R-right!
ACTION:
Allister pulls out a book with a tribal design and eye pattern.
He throws it at the feet of the knights. The book grows teeth,
sucking a large portion of knights inside and quickly closing
shut. Morrigan runs near the book and starts moving her whip in
circles, creating a barrier between them. Caprice runs toward
the Boss Knight and begin to duel. The Boss Knight is easily
overpowers Caprice with each blow of his oversized blade
knocking back Caprice's blades. Multiple knights start to run
toward Caprice. Caprice back-kicks the knights behind her as she
blocks the attacks of the Boss knight. Morrigan and Allister
notice, share a glance, and nod at each other.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice's thoughts: None of my blocks and attacks arent granting
me bonus points.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: OK, ready!
Morrigan: Yes!
ACTION:
The words "Limit Break" flashes above them. Morrigans whip grows
larger and entangled half of the regular knights. The whip grows
thorns and pierces the Knights, instantly killing them. Allister
unleashes dozens of books from his book-bag and surround him in
a tornado-like fashion. The books shoot various smaller
ghost-like monsters; all of them sharing an eye insignia on
them. Each enemy attack the remaining Knights and instantly
burns them.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: OK Caprice! We took them out! Use your limit break!
ACTION:
The Boss Knight splits it's swords into two and continues to
attack Caprice. Caprice let's out a battle cry and "Limit Break"
flashes above her and her weapons turn into glowing juggling
balls. She juggles them and throws them at the Knight with each
successful hit flashes a colorful light that resembles weapons
piercing through. The Boss Knight starts to release red aura and
gains additional pair of arms and swords.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: She transformed her weapons into a set of juggling
balls? I never seen a Harlequin limit break before.
Allister: They're an outdated class. They are hard to come by.
However shes holding through but the knight is entering its
Desperado mode. Caprice needs to make her final attack if she
wants to win.
Morrigan: we should help her!
Allister: We cant. we expended all our magic and stamina with
our limit breaks. And we ran out of tonics and ethers. We'll
have to wait to slowly regenerate enough magic or stamina.
Morrigan: Caprice! You need to use your final limit attack
before you run out of stamina.
Caprice: ...never thought I'd need to use it, but I guess I
might as well try it out once!
ACTION:
Caprice throws all the juggling balls at once while the Knight
throws it's swords at her, Caprice gets hit by her rib cage but
manages to land all the balls but instead of bouncing off they
remain on the Knight as they now fully revert back to their
original form and catch fire. The knights eyes fade and glowing
letters over the room saying "Exorcism complete"
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: Yess! I knew we could do it!
Allister:Can't believe we did it on the first try myself.
Morrigan: We not only beat this quest but that also means
Caprice get all the money we wagered!
Caprice: You're right.
ACTION:
Allister, Caprice, and Morrigan are panting and sweating. They
all look at each other and smile.
Morrigan: What did you think? Best dungeon raid ever, right?
Caprice: I suppose I can't argue with that.
Morrigan: Will you reconsider at least visiting every now and
then? We make a great team.
Caprice: ...
ACTION:
Caprice's smile fades quickly and looks away.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice: Sorry but that's not happening. Maybe I would've said
yes a few days ago, but I can't come back ever again. Thanks for
making my last moments enjoyable.
ACTION:
A chest appears in front of them and opens instantly. Three
weapons come out. An old fashion pistol with a long barrel and
large scope. Dual swords, one resembling a lance and the other a
sword spiraling like a double helix and a pile of books with a
red eye on the faces of the books. Morrigan and Allister look.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: another master-class Book! These can hold up to 50
level 120 enemies and can release 10 at a time! This is
practically OP item!
Morrigan: master-class Black flintlock. The scope on this is
amazing. Its almost as if I'm actually feeling it in my hands.
ACTION:
Allister and Morrigan look back at Caprice and see her head down
with her arms crossed.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: Well do you at least want to see your reward before
you go? Never before seen weapons right here.
Morrigan: Come on, one look won't hurt.
Caprice: sure...why not.
ACTION:
Caprice walks towards them and her eyes widen slightly when she
turns her head upward.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice: these are...master-class Harlequin dual swords.
Allister: Are you serious? Thought there weren't any because
they stopped supporting the class before Master-class was a
thing. Are these the first?
Morrigan: looks like Caprice obtained weapons specifically
designed for her then.
Caprice: ...
ACTION:
Caprice reaches for the weapons. She grabs the hilt of each
sword but quickly trips and falls to the ground. Morrigan and
Allister rush quickly to lift her from the ground.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: Caprice! Are you OK!? What happened?
Allister: We've been playing for quite a while maybe she's
fatigued and needs some rest.
Morrigan: Allister, look at her side!
ACTION:
Morrigan notices she's bleeding from her rib cage. Caprice
appears to be breathing slowly and shows expressions of deep
pain. Her eyes have a faded look as if shes near dead.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: Caprice, are you actually feeling the pain from this
wound!?
Caprice: Yes, I really do feel it.
Morrigan: How is this possible? We got hit several times and
never felt pain up until this moment.
Allister: If i had to point when exactly this happened, it would
be the moment we started to pant and sweat.
Morrigan: You really think that was the point when the game
started to make us feel pain?
Allister: I don't know. Couldve been earlier. This could only be
happening to her and to us. But right now Caprice isn't feeling
good.
Morrigan: Caprice, just log out!
Caprice: I already t-tried.
Allister: What!?
Caprice: Right before our reward spawned.
ACTION:
Caprice closes her eyes. Morrigan and Allister have a mutual
expression of deep fear and horror. They both tried to open up
their menus and they both see the "log out" button with a skull
covering it. They both tap it repeatedly but nothing happens.
Allister falls on his knees with his hands on his head.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: This can't be happening...what the he'll is going on?
Morrigan: Don't ask me, you're the one who usually knows
everything!
Allister: I don't know everything...but the administrators
might. They should be able to help Caprice log out!
Morrigan: OK..but how do we help Caprice?
ACTION:
Morrigan is putting pressure on Caprice's wound. Blood drips
through the cracks of her hand.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: I can feel blood dripping out of my hand. And the cold
air in this room. I can feel everything in here. Even the armor
I'm wearing...The only thing I can't feel is-
Allister: The VR set. Or the chair im sitting on.
Morrigan: You dont think we're trapped inside the game? Like in
the movies?
Allister: Its just a glitch. It has to be.
ACTION:
Allister looks around and sees the zombie knight bodies.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: Those bodies are still here.
ACTION:
He runs toward the dead knights and starts searching them. He
finds a bottle labeled superior ether. He drinks it, grabs a
white book from his bag and summons an angel. The angel begins
to heal Caprice. You see it raising Caprice's HP bar but doesn't
close the wound.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: good thinking. You think this'll work?
Allister: It should. I healed her completely healed her in-game
but the wound is still open. I just wish I thought of this
during the battle before she got hit.
Morrigan: Its not your fault. We'll figure this out.
Allister: Right. Looks like its pointless to try healing her
in-game.
ACTION:
Morrigan rips a piece of her clothes and ties it around
Caprice's wound. Caprice screams out in light agony and then
slowly faints.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: You think that will help?
Morrigan: We tried it by healing her HP and it didn't work! I'm
panicking and running out of ideas!!
Allister: Im sorry. Usually im the one who plans things out.
Good thinking, it should help stop the bleeding a bit. First
things first, we need to go to the city and talk to an Admin.
They can look into this faster than reporting the issue.
Morrigan: We can't transport there while she's like this. She's
unconscious.
Allister: We'll just have to go on foot. We can both carry
Caprice and make sure no enemies attack us on the way.
Morrigan: Ok. Guess that's the best option so far.
Allister: Its our only option.

CHAPTER I - Part 4 (in progress)
SCENE:
A large foggy forest filled with wisps and crows. Morrigan is
carrying Caprice over her back while Allister leads in the front
with a possessed Crimson Knight that was captured previously
guarding the back.
ACTION:
Caprice shows expression of pain and squeezes Morrigan's
shoulders.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: We're almost there, Caprice. I'm sorry we dragged you
into this.
Caprice: Not your fault...I deserved this.
Morrigan: Why would you say that?
Caprice: I've neglected my boyfriend over stupid games like
these for years. All I ever did to him was ignore his existence
until it was convenient. Everytime I tried to be there for him,
my anxiety would rise and i would ruin everything. I can't even
sleep beside him. It's no wonder he left me...
Morrigan: I had no idea you were going through that...
Allister: Is that why you wanted to quit the game? For your
boyfriend?
Caprice: Not at first. I was just really bored of this game. But
now I know my boredom wasnt because of the game itself. It was
because of me.
Morrigan: Let's stop talking like you're about to die. We
stopped the bleeding for now. Do you feel better?
Caprice: yes, it seems to be working.
Allister:Once we find an Admin, we should be able to get you out
and you can make up with your boyfriend and everything will be
alright.
Caprice: ...
ACTION:
They reach the end of the forest. And a large empty and grassy
field with a colorful lit town is shown in the distance. A large
clock tower is lit in a mixture of gold and green. The house
lights sparkle in purple and pink.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: There it is. The Wicked Bastion is up ahead.
Morrigan:We're almost there, Caprice. Hang in a little longer,
ok?
Caprice: You can let me walk. It doesn't hurt as much anymore.
Morrigan: You sure?
ACTION:
Caprice decides to walk with them but almost trips. Morrigan
decides to help her walk by holding her up by her arm.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: It never took us this long to reach The Wicked
Bastion before, even on foot. I just tried using my
teleportation ability a minute ago and it's no use...
Morrigan: It must be the glitch/update. Whatever you want to
call it!!
Allister: I don't know. We'll find once we talk to an Admin.
Everything feels more real though. It's like I'm actually
walking on this field.
ACTION:
As they continue to walk toward the town some low level zombie
rats come out to the ground and surround them.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: Zombie rats. At a time like this?
Allister: They're all lvl 01. We dont even need to use any
magic.
Morrigan: blunt force it is!
DIALOGUE:
Allister and Morrigan kick them away as they instantly turn to
dust. Two zombie rats manage to evade Morrigan's attack and bite
her ankle. Caprice manages to stand on her own and runs into the
zombie rats. No zombie rats remain and all three are panting and
sweating. Caprice has a faint smile and falls to her knees.
Caprice looks at down at her hands and see them trembling.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice's thoughts: Why am I feeling this now?
Allister: Its a good thing we didn't waste any magic on them.
But that was close. Are you two okay?
Morrigan: Its only a scratch. But a scratch that hurts like
hell.
Allister: It hurts that much? But it was just a lvl 01 zombie
rat.
Morrigan: Don't worry about me. You OK, Caprice? You shouldn't
have exerted yourself. You just opened up your wound!
Caprice:Its fine. we're almost there. I'll survive.
ACTION:
Caprice drops her had forward onto the ground while gripling her
side. Morrigan extends her hand to Caprice. She concedes and
allows herself to be helped.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: Let's keep moving you two.
SCENE:
In the gateway of The Wicked Bastion. Allister, Morrigan and
Caprice are entering through. They notice a large group of
players are surrounding a smaller group of of players around a
giant statue of a Goddess. The smaller group have a small
insignia on their shoulders with a giant A, suggesting that they
are admins.
DIALOGUE:
Player 1: What the hell is going on!? My friend just died and
hasn't respawned!
Player 2: I have to go to work in 30 minutes! Why can't we log
out!?!?!
Player 3: I just got attacked by a level 3 skeleton and I'm
feeling actual pain! What kind of expansion is this!?
Admin 1: We assure you this is all news to us. The Terra
Stregada team would never add such features intentionally and
without proper notice.
Admin 2: Thats correct. Please calm down as we find a way to
solve the issue.
ACTION:
Morrigan squeezes through the crowd to reach the Admins. Weiss
and Sarah-Lighthart are also in the crowd and notice Morrigan
and Caprice.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: Please! You have to help our friend! She was hurt in
game and she can't log out. Something is making her feel
everything the game does to her!
Admin 2: Let me take a look.
Admin 1: Just like the others.
Weiss: Isn't that Caprice?
Sarah-lighthart: Yes, you're right. It looks like she got the
worst end of the glitch.
Weiss: Guess she wasn't so strong as we thought.
Sarah-lighthart: People here are near the brink of death over
low level enemies. I think we were just lucky.
Weiss: There you go again, believing in jinx and luck.
Sarah-lighthart: Doesn't change the fact that most people here
are in severe pain and we're not.
ACTION:
Morrigan helps Caprice up but she ends up falling on the floor.
One of the Admins helps her up.
Admin 1: There have been reports of these everywhere. We
recently discovered healing HP won't fix the pain but treating
it like a real life wound will ease it.
Morrigan: Do you know what's going on? Is this part of the
update or some crazy glitch?
Admin 1: This was never reported as part of the expansion. And
it's virtually impossible for a glitch like this to happen.
Admin 3: Hold on! Our Admin features are locked! And so is our
log out button aswell! None of our reports have gone through!!
ACTION:
The Admins check their menu simultaeniously. A section dedicated
to Admin is greyed including (but not limited to) "Report
error", "Emergency contact", and "Ban Member". The Admins look
at each other with an expression of distress and anxiety.
DIALOGUE:
Admin 2: This just happened less than one hour. It'll take a
couple of hours until the Developers team catch wind of the
issue without able to report. Assuming they will consider it an
issue.
Admin 3: And with the latest expansion just released, you think
they'll consider it unusual?
Admin 2: My estimated guess is it will take the development team
about 6 hours if they notice an unusual pattern of play time,
perhaps even less if some of us are already reaching that
ammount of play time.
Admin 1: Listen everyone! We are currently locked out of our
Administration tools. We are in the same situation as all of
you. We have calculated that we shoukd be getting a responce
within 6 hours or less. we will find a way, we must remain calm.
Player 4: You can't fix this!?!?!? Can't you see that we are
actually feeling this. No matter how much we heal, it won't take
the pain away!!
Player 5: If this is some kind of messed up joke, I'm not
laughing!!
Player 6: You have to find a way to get us out!!
ACTION:
The crowd gets louder and angrier. They almost step on Caprice
and Morrigan but Allister pushes the crowd back. Caprice is
feeling the pain and her eyes start to fade. All the lights go
out and people become quiet. The lanterns all over the town
relit with a bright greenish blue flame.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: Now what. Is the game about to shut down?
Mysterious Voice: Look at all of you squirm and cry out of
fear. They won't be able to help you anymore.~~
ACTION:
Everyone looks around to see who said that. A woman hidden in a
large cloak is sitting above the large statue of a Goddess. She
jumps down and softly lands. She removes her hood and shows a
pale woman with eyes of Teal irises and black schlera. She has
Grey Hair Woman with special tattoos on her forehead. She
wearing provocative black armor covered in gems ranging of
different colors. The players instantly recognize her resembling
the very statue she is sitting on.
Admin 1: Y-you're the in-game Goddess! Matrona Mana. How is this
possible!?
Admin 2: There was never an in-game model ever uploaded into the
game. At least not yet.
Mysterious Voice: I reject that name. I am no longer Katrina
Mana. My new name is Mana-Morta and I have trapped all of you
here in Terra Stregada for a very special reason.
Caprice: You're the one keeping us here?
Mysterious Voice: Yes I am. And for surviving this far I present
you with a small token.~~
ACTION:
Mana-Morta spreads her arms wide and sends a wave of teal flame.
The players flinch and attempt to protect themselves from the
flame. However, instead of killing the players it heals all the
injured players who were previously suffering in pain including
Caprice.
Morrigan: You're healed!
Caprice's thoughts: The pain is gone. I no longer feel like I'm
about to die! I have a chance to get out and redeem myself to
Adam!
ACTION:
Caprice opens up her menu but her logout button is still
blocked. She looks at Mana-Morta with a fierce expression.
Mana-Morta notices and gives a small smile, then it quickly
turns into an evil one.
DIALOGUE:
Mana-Morta: Whats wrong? Aren't you happy I saved you from the
brink of death?
Caprice: I need to leave the game. If what you're saying is
true, you need to let us out!
Mana-Morta: You want to leave Terra Stregada? You'll have to
fulfill a special mission. it's not like any other quest out
there.
Caprice: I don't care about your mission. Please let me out.
Mana-Morta: Oh what a shame. If you don't accept the request of
your Goddess, then you will never leave Terra Stregada.
ACTION:
Caprice summons her new Harlequin weapons and points them at
Mana-Morta.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice: Youre not my Goddess! You're either some crazy NPC that
glitched or someone from the real world posing as the Goddess as
some crazy social experiment. Now, Let me out!
Mana-Morta: You won't get anything by simply demanding it. You
think your weapons could ever hurt an actual Goddess?
Caprice: Let's find out!!! If I kill you, you won't be able to
keep us here!!
Player 1: What she said! You can't possibly keep us here once we
kill you! We'll sue the game company for this if it turns out
they're involved in this!!
Player 2: You're right, there's no actual Goddess! She's just
some made up character.
ACTION:
Mana-Morta has an angry expression on her face and throws out a
black flame onto the players. Caprice quickly reacts and dodges
the flame. The players all let out a scream. The fire dies down
and the players now resemble zombies.
Player 1: uhhghhhhhghhhhh...
Player 2: ugghhhhhhh....
Admin: What did you do to them!?
Mana-Morta: I turned them into undead, or what you all nicknamed
"NPCs". See with your eyes! You are all cursed just like myself!
If you die here in Terra Stregada, you will become the undead!
If you lose all your HP but you are unscathe, you will become
the undead! You have to value your health in here as much as in
the other world!! This is no glitch, this is real magic taking
hold here! No one can help you, both in or out of Terra
Stregada!
ACTION:
The crowd all show expressions of fear and concern. The zombie
players approach sluggishly as they want to attack. The crowd
steps back in fear, attempting to avoid any contact. Eventually
one attempts to attack Caprice.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice: Snap out of it!
Zombie player: Uhhghhhhhghhhhh
Caprice: Damn it. Have it your way then.
Allister: Caprice, wait!
ACTION:
Caprice stabs the player zombie and the zombie players dies. The
crowd went silent and look at Caprice in disgust and disbelief.
DIALOGUE:
Allister's thought: Attacking in the middle of the town? When
did our combat abilities unlocked in towns?
Players: I can't believe you killed a fellow player!
Caprice: He can't be dead. this is all just an illusion.
Mana-Morta: Oh poor Caprice. You're the only one failing to see
the truth. You must find a cure for me. If you don't find a
cure, you'll be trapped here forever.
ACTION:
Caprice clenches her fist and attempts to attack Mana-Morta.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice: No more quests, no more games! I already had enough of
these distractions! Let me out now!!!
Allister: What are you doing? You don't know what she's capable
of!
Mana Morta: You are my most valued warrior, Caprice. But don't
think any act of defiance will go unpunished!!
ACTION:
Mana-Morta summons a large skeleton dragon made of green fire
with black armor flying over them. The dragon lands on a nearby
building and starts destroying The Wicked Bastion. Everyone runs
in fear. The Silver Saints Guild however attempt to attack the
Dragon. Sarah-Lighthart and Weiss are seen leading the guild.
DIALOGUE:
Weiss: Everyone! We have to work together! Our combat abilities
are unlocked.
Sarah-Lighthart: Our survival rate will be higher if more
members work together.
Allister:Let me help out!
Weiss: You're Caprice's friends, aren't you?
Allister: Yes, what do you need me to do?
Sarah-lighthart: Support the other magic users! The melee
players will be heading at the front. Make sure you heal them
for whatever scratch they have!
Allister: Got it.
Morrigan: But what about Caprice?
Allister: She's holding herself well. For now we need to protect
the others too!
ACTION:
Morrigan looks behind to see Caprice viciously attacking
Mana-Morta in the midst of the chaos with Mana-Morta
effortlessly blocking each attack with her bare hands. Morrigan
shows a distressed expression and heads toward the dragon.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice: Let me out! I need to leave this game!!! If you don't
let me out, I will never be able to redeem myself to him!!
Mana-Morta: But look at you. I've never seen you so alive! Show
me, Caprice! Show me the joy Terra Stregada gives you!!
ACTION:
Caprice attacks vicously with each heavy swing. Her arm seems to
cover half of her face during each swing. Mana-Morta summons her
own weapons and makes the blades come in closer.
DIALOGUE:
Mana-Morta: Look at you Caprice. You're enjoying Terra Stregada.
You're enjoying our duel. You don't really want to leave, do
you?
Caprice: What are you talking about? I'm not enjoying this!!
ACTION:
Caprice runs her fingers on her mouth and feels her smile and
changes to shock. She starts to shed tears and unsummons her
weapons. Mana-Morta shows a disappointed expression and walks up
to her.
DIALOGUE:
Mana-Morta: How pitiful. You were enjoying me, and this is how
you react?
ACTION:
Allister and Morrigan are back to back protecting themselves
from the debris of the town and also defend from the Green
flamed dragon. Allister also healing others around him while
Morrigan whips the dragon back. Morrigan looks back and notices
Caprice is kneeling down with Mana-Morta standing in front of
her with her blades exposed.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: We need to help Caprice, she's down!
Allister: Stop! We need to beat the dragon first or else we all
die! Think about everyone else!
Morrigan: sorry, but we can't abandon her now! She's about to
become a zombie!
ACTION:
Morrigan runs toward Caprice. The dragon swings an explosive
green blast toward Morrigan. Allister sees she's unconscious and
summons all of his lvl 90 enemies toward the dragon.
The dragon let's out a Roar and starts attacking more
ferociously and sends many players flying. Allister gets injured
by the dragon's bite and is unable to attack. Morrigan and
Allister are both unable to attack or move.
DIALOGUE:
Allister: Damn that really does hurt. I won't be much use now.
We have to figure out of this mess.
ACTION:
Mana-Morta notices Allister calling to Caprice and gives an evil
smirk.
DIALOGUE:
Mana-Morta: Will you concentrate on me and sacrifice your
friends, or will you save them from my pet?
Caprice: ....
Mana-Morta: They're your comoanions, right? You shouldn't let
them die. Because if you die here, there's no coming back.
ACTION:
Caprice glimpses at Allister and then looks back down in anger.
She heads toward Morrigan and Allister with her head down. The
dragon attempts to attack again but Caprice successfully gaurds
Allister and Morrigan with her new weapons. Caprice climbs on
the dragon and stabs repeatedly on its back in rage. The Dragon
swings around and leaves heavy injuries onto Caprice but she
won't let go.
A silver knights with black hair and blue eyes jumps on the
dragon aswell and stabs the head. The dragon screams and it's
flames fade leaving an inanimate skeleton and armor. Caprice
falls and is unable to sustain her injuries. The Silver Knight
quickly catches her before hitting the ground and slowly let's
her stand on her own feet. Caprice seamlessly ignores the Silver
Knight and runs off to Allister and Morrigan.
Caprice: Morrigan! Allister! Are you two okay?
Allister: Don't worry about me too much. Its Morrigan that I'm
worried about.
ACTION:
Caprice holds Morrigan. Morrigan starts to regains
consciousness.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: Hey. It looks like you saved us.
Allister: You look worst than before. How are you possibly
standing right now?
Silver Knight: We have other things to worry about. You! Get
them out.
ACTION:
Mana-Morta looks at the players and the town in flames with
slight disapointment.
DIALOGUE:
Mana-Morta: You pitiful so-called exorcist are no cure to my
world or myself. But I was once a benevolent god. I'll give you
one last chance! If you set me free, I shall set you free! That
is the quest that your Goddess has set upon you all!
ACTION:
Mana-Morta disappears in a dark flash. It slowly begins to rain
and Caprice, Morrigan, Allister and the rest of the players
stare at the direction where Mana-Morta once stood.
Silver Knight: The names Grayson, you sure left that dragon
struggling.
Caprice: Thanks...
Allister: I didn't think you'd come for us.
Morrigan: Of course she did. She's our friend.
Caprice: Yeah...I am.
Grayson: Trapped in an Online game. As cliche as it sounds, it
sure is ironic when one of those games is the leading horror
game.
Morrigan: No kidding .
Allister: Now what?
Caprice: I have no choice, we have to do what she wants,
re-discover Terra Stregada and this Mana-Morta goddess. And
somehow lift the curse.
ACTION:
It slowly starts to rain over them with flames still in the
rubble of the remaining town.
END

they focused on killing the other that they didn't recognize

died.

DIALOGUE:
Unknown: The kings have committed the ultimate sin and the
entire world paid the price. For they have not known that Terra
was connected to Matrona Mana's soul. Terra had become dark and

land of Terra Stregada and return it to its former glory!! For
the Goddess!!
ACTION:
Raven appears to be on the main screen wearing a VR headset. The
screen showing the start menu of Terra Stregada. The edges of
the screen begins to grow teeth and a long femminine hand cones
out of the center of the screen and attempts to swallow her as
she is sitting helpless.
SCENE:
A medieval style bedroom. Caprice is on the bed, Allister is
staring out the window, Morrigan is sitting by Caprice's side.
ACTION:
Caprice then wakes up in a cold sweat and feels her face.
Morrigan, Allister and Grayson are in the same room as her.
DIALOGUE:
Caprice's thoughts: It was just a nightmare.
ACTION:
Caprice looks around to see she's still in the game. She notices
that she is in a queen size bed. Grayson staring out the window,
Allister sitting alone near a small table. And Morrigan is lying
on a couch.
Caprice's thoughts: And yet, I'm still stuck in the game.
Morrigan: You're awake. How you feeling?
Caprice: I don't even know how to respond to that.
Grayson: Why am I not suprised?
Caprice: Grayson....looks like you decided to play on the wrong
day.
Grayson: I'm surprised you actually still play TS. I assumed you
quit long ago. Don't tell me the expansion peaked your interest?
Allister: You two know eachother?
Grayson: We both started playing together at the same time. I
was a steady gainer. But Caprice, she played it like she already
knew every secret. Would've assumed you use the redeem code by
now.
Morrigan: redeem code? Never heard of it.
Allister: Didn't you know? They stopped supporting the Harlequin
class around the 2nd expansion. They don't appear as an option
anymore. Everyone who was originally Harlequin had a chance to
organize their stats and based on what they got, it would
determine the class.
Grayson: Thats also why Harlequin based equipment and abilities
is such a rarity. They encouraged players to use the redeem
code.
Caprice: Guess being Harlequins isn't fun anymore for you. Being
a Silver Knight suits you I suppose.
Grayson: I was running out of options. The stat randomizer
wasn't making me progress at all.
Morrigan: wait a minute. the latest rewards just supported
master-class Harlequin weapons!! How is that possible?
Grayson: Something isn't right here....the in-game Goddess has a
new name and a new look. We are all "cursed" to stay until we
"rediscover Terra Stregada and Mana-Morta" but it's still so
cryptic. Plus new equipment that shouldn't even exist for class
that's never been supported.
Morrigan: It has to be one of the main developers.
Grayson: None of it points to them. Game developer would've
hinted this before in some form. Publishers wouldve not liked
the idea of bringing back a broken class anyways. This is
obviously a hack. I just can't figure out how they did it and
why.
ACTION:
All four look down in deep thought. Morrigan looks out the
window and sees a large group of people gathered around with two
clan leaders. One appears to be light and the other dark.
DIALOGUE:
Morrigan: It looks like the Silver Saints Guild clan leader is
having a debate with The Black Order clan leader.
Allister: Maybe we'll have better luck seeing what ideas those
two have.
ACTION:
Caprice and Grayson nod and walk out the door.
SCENE:
Town square. A large group of players are gathered around with a
female Dark Knight and a Male Silver knight. The four
characters gather together as they witness the discussion
between clan leaders.
DIALOGUE:
Female Dark knight: If we play along we may have higher chance
of leaving the game.
Male Silver Knight: Of course, Ingrid. I have thought long and
hard about our situation. We have no choice but to do what this
goddess says. But if we were to take this seriously, it looks
like there is already a divide among us.
Ingrid: So you notice Kesler? When We began playing Terra
Stregada we not only chose our type of class but our affiliation
as well.
Grayson: Thats right, the 4 affiliations among the classes.
Dark, Light, Twilight and Nil. It's something that at first
glance doesn't matter but ultimately effects what type of
equipment and spells you can wield.
Ingrid: The dark exorcists believe the souls of the monsters and
the undead are pieces of Matrona Mana herself. So we exorcise it
by collecting it. In hopes of reviving her.
Kesler: And light exorcist believe it is the sin of murdering
the goddess. In order to bring balance to this world we must
expunge the remnants of our sin as redemption. Only then Matrona
Mana.
Grayson: Another hurdle. When you choose a class in game the
quests are completely different. Depending on how strong your
alignment is the quests will change. It practically shapes your
view.
Ingrid: so the question is then, which method is the correct way
that will lead us out of this game?
Kesler: Both your Black Garden guild and my Silver Saints Guild
are well known for collecting only members who can be affiliated
with either light or dark. It's no question we have been drawn
to the lore of our respected affiliations. It goes without say
that I believe the light exorcist have the correct way based on
my years as a Silver Knight.
Ingrid: And the same goes for me as a Dark Knight.
Allister: Please....these guilds were always at each other's
throats. They just want to add fire to the situation.
Grayson: Don't be so sure about that. I don't think they are
trying to fight.
Morrigan: Then what are they trying to do?
Caprice: let's keep listening.
Kesler: I propose we remain the same as we have always done. In
addition we find out which is the correct method. We should at
least be leading the other members and making sure we don't lose
any lives.
Ingrid: That is acceptable. The only thing to do now is what to
do?
Kesler: There are 5 big changes that I noticed that were not
initially pointed out. When I look into my map, it originally
said 50%. That made sense since the Expansion added twice the
content. However since this affliction, my Map now shows at 10%.
Ingrid: The map is 10 times bigger than when we started with the
latest expansion.
Kesler: Correct. There's no doubt that it is connected to this
curse. We must discover these new areas and find any clues as to
what this Goddess wants.
Ingrid"m: And the other four?
Kesler: My scouted noticed monster zones would be more
aggresive. Among them would be a monster with green flame and
act as as leaders among the herd. For example, a level 10 zombie
rat engulfed in green flames would lead a pack of level 1 zombie
rats. The moment I exorcised it, the regular ones acted like
normal before and less aggressive.
Ingrid: Then take out those ones and battles become
easier...but...to be 10 times stronger than their originals? A
heavy hitter may act as a dungeon boss.
Kesler: Thats not all. Number 3, The NPC around town appear to
be more... "alive". They have extensive dialogue and react to
everyone. Inn keepers here have been very helpful but I don't
trust them yet. Testing their limit seems to habe no bound. They
seem to act as if they are players like us!
Ingrid: And the last one?
Kesler: This one may seem miniscule at first but may impact us
deeply in the long run...assuming this is as serious as it's
made out to be.
Ingrid: Well what is it? What have you found out?
Kesler: It is true that when we open our menu options our log
out button is missing. But what is worst is that the date or
time is missing from any menu available. And since Terra
Stregada takes place with night time with no day-cycle...then-
Ingrid: We could lose track of how long we've been trapped!
ACTION:
The entire crowd of players share an expression of dread in
their face and start whispering among themselves. Caprice
specifically shows a deeper sign of dread than any of the
others. Grayson puts his hand on her shoulder and she looks at
him and slowly calms down.
DIALOGUE:
Ingrid: thank you for sharing. I was aware of a few you already
mentioned but it was helpful nonetheless.
Kesler: So now that we both share this information what do you
plan on doing with this information?
Ingrid: The map is only 10% complete if we explored everything
up to what the latest expansion offered. Which means 90% is
uncharted. If we follow the pattern the first step is to explore
these new areas carefully and make sure we discover what we
find. I was hoping that even if we avoid confrontation we can
help eachother with the expedition.
Kesler: Sounds good to me too. My scouts have already explored
closer to the western side. Perhaps then your guild can cover
ground on the east as we make preparations?
Ingrid: Very well. I'll begin our expedition soon.
ACTION:
Kessler and Ingrid shake hands and part their ways. The crowd
also splits into groups as one follows Ingrid and the other
follows Kesler. Smaller crowds start to speak among themselves.
Caprice, Morrigan, Allister and Grayson are standing alone.
DIALOGUE:
Grayson: So far a plan has been setup. You think we should
follow the same plan ourselves?
Morrigan: We won't be able to help eachother out though.
Ingrid's clan is the Black Garden guild. It only accepts
dark-aligned characters. And the only dark-aligned one is
Allister as an Archivist.
Grayson: And what about The Silver Saints? They accept Light,
Twilight and Nil. Since Caprice is Harlequin she is Twilight
aligned, You are a Beast tamer so you are Nil, and of course I'm
a Silver Knight so I'm light.
Allister: But they won't accept me! I'm the dark user remember.
Silver Saints Guild have a strict no Dark-alogned.
Caproce: Seems like we won't really be split up. Just from
Allister.
Morrigan: hold on! Allister and I had our own guild before.
We've been through it all together. We can't just abandon him.
Caprice: We have to do something! I'm sorry but I need to leave
from this game!! I have a life waiting for me.
Allister: Fine. Go join them for all I care! You've been nothing
but a loose canon since we joined up!! And Morrigan all you do
is follow her around like she's some great leader!!
Morrigan: What are you talking about?
Allister: forget this. I'm leaving. Go have fun in Silver
Saints.
Morrigan: Allister! Wait!
ACTION:
Allister runs off with rage. Morrigan follows. Caprice and
Grayson are standing alone in an awkward silence.
DIALOGUE:
Grayson: typical Caprice. Always such a smooth talker.
Caprice: whatever....
ACTION:
Caprice starts walking the opposite way. Grayson casually
follows.
DIALOGUE:
Grayson: You know Caprice, if I didn't know any better I would
say you feel guilt.
Caprice: what makes you say that?
Grayson: Well I remember a different Caprice back when this game
had only two expansions. She was cold and heartless. Ready to
kill anyone. So straightforward and tactless with people.
Caprice: still am...
Grayson: Well when I saw you with those two, I saw a different
expression. Reminds me of the ri.e before you were so cold and
heartless.
Caprice: I don't remember....
Grayson: Of course you do. It was our best times together.
SCENE:
A barren desert field filled qith swords stabbed on the field. A
group of players all wearing joker masks with Caprice in the
center still wearing her Harlequin mask with bunny ears.
ACTION:
The group of masked players hunt down large groups of monsters
right before another group could finish it off and run away in a
flash.
DIALOGUE:
Grayson: we were the masked thieves guild. Stealing enemies and
do. Even dropped items. We were pretty infamous. All of us
harlequin class under one roof.
Caprice: Its ancient history to me.
Grayson: You were a great leader. Put the guild before anyone
else and even gave us more than we ever asked as any guild
leader at the time. We were infamous yet praised. What happened?
Caprice: the game happened...
Grayson: What do you mean?
Caprice: Developers started treating the Harlequin class and
eventually the entire guild chose a new class. They all split up
into whatever onethey aligned themselves to. You were one of the
first to leave.
Grayson: I remember....to think that was the reason why. All the
previous members made it out to be like it was something that
was ending. In the back of my mind I sort of blamed you.
Caprice: Well who cares. It's in the past.
Grayson: do you really want to leave things as is with those
two?
Caprice: ....
Grayson: You're not my leader anymore. Silent treatment won't
work like it used to.
Caprice: no. I don't want to leave things like this.
Grayson: Then let's go follow them. I think they were heading
south toward a monster zone.
Caprice:
