Don't get me started on what Marvel is doing. Spider-Man
homecoming is also casting the wrong actors.
I don't know why Marvel thinks they have to do this. This is why
I like DC more.

I enjoy media from Western Comics, but sadly, I don't find
myself with enough time to read them. I do have quite a few
issues of X-Men, however, and also two issues from April/May '89
of the Huntress from DC. As far as Marvel vs DC, I don't really
have a preference. I have a friend who leans heavily on the DC
side, so since she is my primary source of comic book knowledge
and trivia, I know a bit more about DC.
It's kind of broad for me to say that I like X-Men, given that I
haven't read much of it and only summaries of other arcs by word
of mouth, but I'm very character motivated when it comes to
getting into things, and the two characters that drew me to
X-Men are Jean Grey and Emma Frost. In fact, I have the first
collection of the Emma Frost solo comics, which a friend gave me
for Christmas. I really enjoyed the depth it gave her.
On the DC end, I haven't exactly found my niche, but with that
friend of mine being all in for John Constantine Hellblazer, the
Spectre, the Question, and even having a few volumes of the
Creeper's run, it's safe to say that she's kind of my
springboard. I also love the old Teen Titans cartoon, which,
sadly, doesn't seem to do the comics justice.
One of these days, I plan to get into something I found called
the Runaways, and I can't remember who produces it. I just can't
read comics and the like online for some reason; it's just not
as satisfying as turning a page, and it's kind of clunky in that
way. I prefer something physical, where the smell of the ink
wafts up as you're reading. I guess I'm old-fashioned like that.

I can't find non superhero comics that are ongoing and have the
same principles of a Manga (a set objective, a set development,
and a distinguishable formula )
I feel like western comics are like sitcoms. Some episodes are
important, some aren't and every now and then they mix up the
formula. But the day to day structure is not leaving anything
significant.
