What artstyle do you enjoy the most?

We are all manga fans. But not all manga share the same
artstyle. So I wanted to ask you all what artstyle do you enjoy
the most? It doesn't have to be from a manga either. Video game
art counts.
My favorite manga artists are Akira Amano, Kosuke Fujishima, and
Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. There's more but I want to invite others to
post their favorite manga artists or artstyle.
Akira Amano's art style (Hitman Reborn!, Psycho Pass) is quite
original IMHO, the colors blend well, the characters always have
a glow or shine to them, and I find them very attractive.

Kosuke Fujishima (Oh My Goddess!) is one of those artists that
started out super generic and slowly created something very
original. Its kind of funny seeing his early work if OMG! and
how it evolved. But I digress, his style is still iconic in my
eyes. Just looking at how he handles hair is really interesting.
I can't stop staring at times.

Yoshiyuki Sadamoto is probably one of the lesser known, but I
personally enjoy his work from Neon Genesis Evangelion. But I
like his cover art more than his actual black and white
drawings.

Nice choices, I really like Sadamoto's art and I was surprised
by Fujishima's since I've only watched omg's anime.
Mine would probably be Katsuhiro Otomo, Takeshi Obata, and Akira
Toriyama.
With Otomo his art style is very advanced for his era, and
actually met with some criticism back then for being too
realistic. Still, I think his art is amazing.

Obata's art in all of his work has always been amazing, but his
latest work (while not an original story) show cases the old
man's finest
(from Platinum End)

While Toriyama is copied way too much, his simple but perfect
line work can never be reproduced.

Honestly though, I wouldn't want to draw like any of these
artists; the art you make reflects your world, and no art style
to this point has fitted with mine. Does anyone else feel that
way?
Edit: By 'perfect linework' I mean that each line, and the way
he draws them, brings his world alive.

I guess it's just me but I would at least like to draw similar
to them with my own flavor. But those are great too. Obata is
also another great artist. He definitely has a distinguish style
I don't think anyone can copy.

It's all about expressing features that you enjoy in real life.
I've read and watched several interviews with manga artists and
manga editors and they all say the same thing when it comes to
advice: Copy your favorite artists but bend it to your own style
over time. I guess by that they mean that it'll help you learn
the basics of manga illustration, and by copy they refer to
something called 'mosha' which is reproducing manga pages one by
one. A lot of famous manga artists started that way so it should
work, but I prefer not to since I'd rather not hinder my
originality. But I still study other authors in their technique,
but not their style.
If you had to practice 'mosha' on a manga, which one would you
do it from?

If I copied someones artstyle as a start, I would probably try
something closer to akira amano. I would of course try to slowly
make it intobmy own artstyle and little by little go away from
it.
If you look at shojo art, most of it looks the same.

OK I guess it's my turn. I have a really long list. But I will
try to keep it at just 3 distinct artstyles that I get the most
inspiration. Shirow Miwa, Jun mochizuki, and Oh! Great.

I absolutely love his artwork. It is what mostly helped me
envision Lunacy and Terra Stregada. The colors are vibrant and
always consistent. Provides a great atmosphere. I only wish that
his covers expressed more of his unique artstyle.

Miwa Shirow is the very few mangas that I prefer reading on
paper. The contrasting light and dark is too uneasy on the eyes
when I see it on screen. with that said, he has the best Neo
noir artstyle to date. I've read Big O manga and pales in
comparison. Shirow miwa makes everything look!"awesome" and
amazing. He has moved on to other series but his artstyle is
still distinguishable. I'm just slightly upset he's making RWBY
mmanga.

Oh! Great is something else. His character are really well drawn
and full of emotion but I am more interested in his backgrounds
and his mecha designs. I also like his sense of fashion. In most
of his manga, he pushes the designs while not feeling
unrealistic.

WOW. I was just thinking about Miwa Shiro but I forgot his name.
I do remember him making Hatsune Miku artwork, but I should've
remembered Dogs Bullets and Carnage.

Yukito Kishiro (Battle Angel), Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira), Masamune
Shirow (Ghost in the Shell) stand on their own. I can't name
some of the classic anime artists. The thing is that there is so
much imitation that not much seems original to me. Satoshi Kon
was trying to do Otomo to the point that if you told me that
Otomo did Opus, I'd believe you.

I agree on imitation. For example, Pandora Hearts is not that
unique. But inside it anyways. I don't think in the point is to
list the most unique artstylem just the ones you enjoy the most.
