Apology

I personally apologize for what happened. Create a forum site
had a legal dispute with it's hosting property. It was actually
pretty scary as I got no notice until later.
I thought it was just a little unprofessional considering the
big delay in informing us. I do hope this did not affect
anyone's personal experience from the forum.
I am looking into moving the forum into a more stable location
where everything is solid. The legal dispute has been solved
though. I will update you all on the progress. I plan on using a
".net" for the new address.

MM was down like 2 days.
Moving the forum is a good idea since I also don't like the
"createaforum" on the address or anything in between the domain
name and extension.
Maybe we'll get more people to join us without it.

It felt like 3 days. I personally had a lot of questions in
other forums when they clicked the link.
But I would think a hosting site would give the option to change
the domain name and not adopt the host site dn.

I worked really hard on the old theme. It may not be perfect,
but I put a lot of effort. This is just the generic default
theme.
As for the post count, you gain count based on certain areas.
Not all areas count as a post. Its meant to encourage actually
participating in the things the forum is about.
If you thinks it's imbalanced, let me know.
Edit: what a relief, the original hand made theme has been
restored

It could also make people post other sections with one-liners,
witty/troll remarks, necro-posting, etc just to increment their
post count.

Nah , I think only the ones obsessed over getting the most post
counts would do so . Which is why the more Lounge-y sub-forums
other forums had tend to have that setting where posting posts
there won't add to posts count & I'm sure same has been done on
this one .
And even if they do decide to spam on other sections , it's easy
to spot them & unlike forums/sites I & Lumaria had been on
before , we won't let that go unpunished . Let's just say that
part of the existence of this site is stemmed from that issue we
had from other sites .
As for things that aren't one-liner , lets just say that they're
way more obvious to not get spotted & also will not go
unpunished .
And Orchid , I don't think this is a fault on your part , unless
you're the owner of Createaforum , that is .

no I do not own create a forum. But I guess I felt I needed to
because it happened so unexpectedly and without warning. Create
a forum was basically telling us that legal issues we're going
on and we might not see the forum for a while.
It got resolved quickly. And that's all that matters. I've
definitely calmed down a bit since nothing has Changed.

For awhile I thought the site was gone forever, but then I got
the email. Well, I'm glad we're up and running again, would be a
great loss to lose such a valuable community.
