What's your favorite anime/manga moment

I can't stop watching the scene with Belle vs Minotaur in Is It
Wrong To Pick UP Girls In A Dungeon?
That scene really speaks to me. It got me thinking what other
scenes do you love in anime and manga?

My favorite moment although quite small for most people was when
Allen in D.gray-man and Leena Lee regain their exorcist
abilities in a new fashion.

I'm not sure that I can really pick a moment because there are
so many that mean a lot to me, and it's usually in the little
things. I guess one that immediately sticks out in my mind is
towards the end of season one of Maria-sama Ga Miteru, when Sei
is graduating and has only one request for Yumi. Of course she
asks for a kiss, but that isn't particularly what has my heart
so caught up in that scene. It's how she addresses it after the
fact, the conversation. I had become very, very emotionally
invested in that character by then, so of course seeing her
graduate and all of that--it just felt so real to me.
One that comes to mind from a video game is from Devil May Cry,
and that renowned line Dante has about Trish, because wow, the
character depth there was just immense.
From a manga, probably two of the best I recall are from
Rosario†Vampire Season II, both involving Kurumu, interestingly
enough, even though I don't really care for her all that much.
First was an interaction with Mizore towards the start of Season
II, and like with MariMite, it wasn't just "ermergerd, they
kerssed!", but it was the meaning behind it and the character
hearts at play. The other one is when she breaks through the
shield to get to Tsukune, and that conversation.
I realize all these scenes are a little heavy one way or
another, and there are definitely more swimming around my mind,
but I love these, simply because of how they made me stop and
feel on such a high level of intensity what each of the
characters involved was going through.

It was a little unexpected, too (at least for me), which made it
even more great. A grand revelation of "oh, so THIS is what this
guy's been thinking?" kind of thing. I love things like that
about characters, when everything is subverted and you get to
see what's underneath the masks.
That reminds me of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. There's a
scene where General Olivier Armstrong orders someone to stay on
watch in case her men return from the tunnels, and to seal it up
if they don't return when the pocketwatch she gives him runs
out. It's only revealed after the whole situation down there is
wrapped up and everyone's back topside that the pocketwatch was
broken to begin with. I swear my heart lurched into my throat
when I first saw that, after the obligatory two seconds it took
for me to realize what all that meant. I don't really remember
much about Brotherhood anymore since I watched it so long ago,
but I will always hold onto that one scene, because, again:
damn.

My favorite scene in FMA Brotherhood was when it was revealed
that Mustang did not kill her and instead helped her escape.

I'm still trying to recall what was my favorite moment in my
head (it's very scattered , thank to work) , but one thing I can
clearly remember always is the ending episode of Chrno (Chrono)
Crusade , the entire episode ... damn .

I never watched Chrono Crusade before. I never knew it had an
anime to be honest. I saw the manga whenever I browsed but I
never read a chapter.
I'll take a look since you enjoyed it. Of course another great
moment is the ending of Code Geass R2, I honestly wasn't
expecting it and I liked it more than the Death Note ending.

Another great moment was Code Grass ending and in Death Note
when Light regains his memory.

I'm willing to be insulting. The refs here are terrible and
conditioned responses. BLECH!
Time for a test drive:
1. Aikira. Classic, simple. still well done.
2. Voices of a Different Star (the punchline is grim. You were
warned.)
3. Magnetic Rose[Otomo's: Memories] (this is what it is like to
be the Mike Tyson of writers)
4. Running Man [Otomo's: NeoTokyo] A man understands what being
"the man" means (this is my life and I can't escape).
5. Metropolis: best Christ story ever
6. FLCL: Best coming of age ever. Bar none. The is the best
humanity has to offer.
7. Photon. No one has ever done a perfect hero like Photon
Earth.
8.

Yeah, if you
haven't seen this, then this is the hell you deserve.
9. Grave of the Fireflies.. Yeah, if you haven't seen this, then
this is the hell you deserve.
10. Puppet Princess. Not the fluff you expected.
11. All of Satoshi Kon's works.
When you are done with this list let me know and I will drag
your soul elsewhere.
