I was kinda hoping to learn something a little more in depth,
but I already had a general idea about a lot of what he talks
about. I definitely agree with what he's saying. It's always
absolutely infuriated me when something is pushed off for a
release deadline that was just impossible for even decent
playable quality. That's actually a huge reason I dislike the
first season of RWBY and am not at all a fan of DLC. I don't
care if it's a "free upgrade patch"--you should have worked more
cohesively and released it in good quality the first time around
instead of feature flooding or pressing a release date.
Honestly, I miss the days where you could just buy a game and
enjoy it for what it was and appreciate that. Nowadays I hear
"this DLC dungeon [or character or feature or whatever] is
better than the game" and I'm just like "wow dudes. If the base
product is bad, why pay them MORE MONEY for something bad to
begin with?"
Consumer liability man. Some gamers just don't seem to have it.

Let me explain. RWBY is great for the staff and effort, but they
are not very good quality objectively, and a lot of fans I talk
to about it just can't seem to wrap their head around the
difference and come up on me like they wanna fight about it like
"Well YOU aren't taking into account how difficult it was for
them to master that linework on those 3d programs and you're
discrediting how understaffed they are and--" it still looks
pretty rough, even for the time it came out. It's almost like
you can't call out bad quality on something with a huge fanbase
without getting absolutely blasted.
As for DLC, I appreciate the addition of new characters and
dungeons as after-game features and even some skins or weapons
or whatever new stuff they bring to the table, but you shouldn't
HAVE TO make a patch just to make the base game play well.
That's my stance on it. DLC is great for the market and the
players. It's just...games shouldn't have to rely on them to be
good. That's all.

I recently played final fantasy xv and I believe it's for the
same reasons and more. The game doesn't know what it wants to
achieve.

Yeah, my friend's playing it right now with us watching and he
complains a lot about how rushed the last few chapters are and
how disappointing it is how there wasn't more. I don't consider
myself an avid gamer, but just watching him play I can see
exactly what he means, especially with the graphics glitches
like loss of texture every now and then.

It used to be called final Fantasy versus 13 and was by a
different director. Change in director and story shows exactly
how bad it was and how great it could've been.

Back when I had time to care about games, Final a fantasy Versus
Xiii grabbed my interest. Every trailer looked amazing and
showed it was trying to tell a compelling story. I especially
liked the Shakespeare quotes.
But after it got moved to different directors, the game felt
completely different and didn't bother to follow it. If I cared
about games like I did back then, this one probably would've had
broke my heart considering.
I tried playing it but it's really boring in my opinion. But I'm
not good at big open games (if you can call that game that).

With all the DLC announced. This game feels like a huge cash
cow.
Power Ranger like suits as DLC and a carnival. Although the
carnival idea sounds fun it still looks like they want to gain
more money.
It doesn't look like it fits in the game.
