Training at parkside
By: Leon Date: July 31, 2013, 5:58 pm

I really like training there I think it's a 100 times better
than the leisure, especially with the rain making the ball zip
along the surface helps your first touch a lot well it should ha
Thought it was a decent session with some drills in which helps
us, dan was saying about long balls and playing simple but for
me shape is a huge thing we need work on, at times from where I
was look during the game we were all over the place and looked
awful at times,
Stand outs were Gassy and Clucker
See yas Sunday ya goons p.s fucking comment on stuff cos this
forum might as well not be here if yas just log in and see nowt.

Im really enjoying the sessions lately,i always like it when we
can involve some shooting drills and 'quite fitness' and robbo
likes to call it.
I agree that the simple passing is improving but we need to cut
out long balls and flicks.
Stand out for me was gassy. I think all the new lads have made a
big improvement to the team and we can really push for the
league this season.

I agree enjoyed the session, not frm a personal pov as wernt at
me best but in all was gud b on the ba so much. But that was the
aim get everyone on the ball wanting it and using it wisely.
I repeat myself day after day simple football, and we are
getting better but sti beed everyone to adapt this mentality. I
Agree with leon shape is vital but the lads who cant keep shape
will suffer come the games cos it has to be kept in order for us
not to get penetrated :o

Enjoyable session, good to get on the ball and use it wisely,
Should be a good season as team looking sharp. Plus enjoyed the
rain although the cuts on my arm and legs show there may be one
or two stones on the pitch .
Roll on sunday

Morning all - As I saw some of the training I can comment :)
Really couldn't get over how quiet it was, you were doing
passing drills but nobody was really talking, the only time I
heard voices was when people were taking the piss out of
somebody's touch or when they missed an open goal. Perhaps as I
only saw a bit of the training it isn't normally like that but I
would expect everybody to be talking constantly - A lot of
having composure on the ball and picking the right pass is down
to your team mates helping and letting you know what's happening
around you
Overall there seemed to be plenty of effort being put in. I was
dying to lace my boot sup but I think you had more than enough
to want an old bloke with dodgy knees chasing you around (You've
already got Gray after all)
Squad looks strong, all the additions seem to bring something to
the team, the test now is to transfer that to a good start to
the season. If you look at last year if we had started better we
may have gone up, it was that tight
So good luck fellas, I will try and get down for a few of your
games unless I've signed for the Times by then ;)

Personally for me it was good to do a few keeping drills with
burnsy like..cz its good to keep sharp aswell as fitness
Think the effort is there from everyone but there is definite
stand outs for me week in week out
Sinky is ever reliable and keeps talking which is what you want.
Hate to give him credit but think our boy has been solid the
last few weeks
Dotty on the ball is top class
Would like to see maxi at training cz again in a game hes a
stand out for me.
Interested to see team on Sunday cz think everyone expects the
starting 11 to play with been last friendly. .good luck with
that dan!!:-)
