Wingate Vic : Managers Feedback

Game:
on the whole i thought we played well, showed some good football
between us and set pieces wer well worked as usually this isnt
the case. but positional sense cost us the game, throught being
out of position and ball watching rather than thinkin bout ur
position created chances for them n gave them goals. we were the
better team but jst shows again u will get punished if we arnt
diciplined in the roles we are given.
Team:
1. Burnsy - made some good stops and had a decent game, but had
butter fingers which could of cost us, put that down to ya new
gloves as ya said, with regards to decision making also one or
the other as we have touched on before but when you grasp it,
immdiatly look to play it out to the flanks or whatever options
are there, be quick to see whats available to you.
2.Chrissy - first half played well using wing well n supporting
and good defence, 2nd half first 20mins worst ive seen ya play,
got pulled outta postion cudnt seem get into the game, bt end of
the half again played well broke well from defence n did ya
dutys. remember to put defence key first if you there and push
forward only when is safe to do so.
3. Warren - played really well thru the whole game, got stuck in
defensivly as well as gave attacking option, also impressed u
didnt get involved in the spat wit that lad. at times again
getting pulled outa postition but not often, n when breaking
forward look for the pass early so ur able to then overlap
rather than hold on, down to winger not to pull away frm ya
obviously, and also the pass inside is an option doesnt always
have be down the flank, mix it up whatevers best.
4/5. Lee/Macca - i thnk both lads either play well or dont,
great partnership and equally take the blame or praise. solid
performance played well, gave options in the box when set pieces
arose also played well out from the back, thnk both or either
must start being a bigger voice and keep the full back in touch
with whats going on, communication is key, n with yesterday only
critcism was first half wit the flick ons getting caught as
wernt reading it one dropping, but that was sorted quickly.
6. Paul - decent game plenty of creation and graft in the
centre, great set pieces definatly goin to be permanant taker
cos we are lacking those quality balls. in spells reverted back
to hollywood mac, dont do this as it doesnt work more times than
it does and ur a much better football wen playing simple, and
try and place ya shots rather than blast them ul find yourself
getting more goals cos the oppurtunitys ur getting need start
getting taken.
7.Anth - had canny game for 1st start in a while, got stuck in
and plenty of graft. not enough width tho from ya, didnt get at
the full back enough and didnt provide enough crosses which you
can do bcos we've seen ya do it. uve got decent pace and
attacking ability which you showed earlier in season, so try n
get back to those ways.
8. jacka - had the best game uve played for us so far, worked
very hard and got stuck in constantly nibbling at the
opposition, second half you were giving away too many needless
f.k, dont dive in u have the speed and strength to compete so
stick with them and force a mistake. you were better
positionally then previous games but still not quite there, make
sure u work with your partner communicate, one go one stay etc.
thort also attacking wise were decent also jst need get ya head
up and not rush, look for the options.
9.me - no comments
10. andy - decent game, linked up well with me and made some
canny runs also tracked back well and did what i told ya weneva
i told ya, big plus. again tho need to hold the ball up, kill
first then look at your options, flicks are not the way, jst
hold ball up and play to the mids of other strikers release and
move into space looking for the ball again, also try n bring
more attacking to the game as a striker its key, bt by doing the
above this will give u better chances etc.
11. hally - decent game, work rate was biggest plus for me, good
on the ball also linking well with players around you. again
same as anth need more service when on the wing as we are
lacking, take on the man or use inside play whichever option is
better. positonally at times wasnt great but u know that,
getting sucked outa of position causes problems, make sure stick
were you are and talk to your team mates about other danger
which may come there way.
subs:
leon - played well when came on added a lot of width and gave
there defender problems, need to get back and help out warren
more when it breaks down cos leaving him isolated, or rather
than goin to the byline everytime look options inside. (too much
slipping over also)
turny - as usual grafted when came on n got about, bit more
urgency tho, rather than let ball go out for example keep it in
n get at them or try create. ur tidy on the ball so be confident
in ur game
kev - most frustrated ive been this season is yesterday, i told
you which way to play when you came off the bench bcos by doing
that a player with ur attributes would change the game, but you
arnt doing that, ur the fastest on the team yet wont knock the
ball down the wing and lose the full back, also ur goin in huffs
and not trying. fresh legs off the bench, with such speed and a
decent cross/strike you have ur what we need to pile pressure on
tiring opposition. until you realise and start doing this and
what im saying you wnt make the first team. do all the above n
ul b fightin for the postion for sure.
thats everyone, both praise and constructive criticism so please
take on board what ive said, and every game il be feeding back
good or bad, so if you dont like what ive gotta say tough cos it
needs saying, and only way people will learn is if they are
told.

cheers gibbo taken in also a little point on the voices of the
full backs i agree with that theres no commanding of the back
four maybe also another valid point that grey should be slotted
in there if or when he comes back bcos hes fully aware of whats
going on and will let u know if ur out of line its not
critiscism to macca and lee all im simply saying is dont be
scared to shout at us yous 2 see more of the back 4 than me or
chrissy so use it and control us and keep us inline

Na warren no offence taken - its constructive mate n i agree -
there's sum communication at the back but no one's really been
commandin back four - will need to sort it out - we just need to
get organised as quickly as pos n the more talkin (or shoutin)
the better. Thats why old man murden was such a miss in my
opinion - cos he never shuts the fuck up. Must admit i had a
dodgy game on sun alround but hopefully just a one off. Gud to
see lads are taking the feedback constructively tho cos its not
intended to have a go - just to improve our games

Need to get Lee commanding his back 4 as he usually sweeps the
defence and see's the whole game.
Just need to get it out of him haha
