Mallard Fc vs Peterlee

Whats people opinions on todays game? I thought the passing was
great today at times and having the likes of dotty and paul in
midfield really controlled the game as they are both very
comftable with the ball. Grey was my MOTM as he put a real shift
in, getting in first time for every ball and winning every
header he went for. A real captains performance and deserved his
goal. First 30 mins we looked like we were going to batter them,
and really controlled the game and then we sloped off towards
half time. Played some good spells in the second half. Thought
hally and robbo did well when they came on, hally showed he
could get down the wing a few times and robson put the effort in
to impress when given his chance.
Much better performance than the cup game and hopefully we can
crack on for the rest of the season.

Thought we played well for the first half hour or so then just
did enough to win the match after that
Paul motm for me, he controlled the game for us

Thought we were decent. There two goals were a bit silly but
thought the back four were great and look a solid settled unit.
Thought the midfield was decent and was great to see Dotty back
and us really knocking the ball about. All strikers bagged and
you cant really ask for more. Grey MOM for me and a good result

A well controlled team performance lee Paul and Jonny all worked
well but for me motm is a tie between Ian and gray both solid
and kept composed for the 90. On a seperate note I would like to
apologise for my very wayward passing. Lets get a run going and
climb the table

first 30 we played class but after that when they threw everyone
forward we lost our shape and it cocked us up a bit but
considerin they are 3rd its a good win and proves we are better
than where we are in the league. think paul played well when he
was on al say gray MOM and also anth martin made my job easy
down the right ran his arse off all game

I think given the weather conditions we played really well
yesterday. The wind was terrible but we played clever football
keeping the ball on the deck , controlling the pace and created
a number of good chances and on another day could even have had
more than the five we scored.
Defensively its annoying to have conceded two but it shows what
happens if you dont get a tackle in early overall I think we
looked solid and hardly troubled even when they pushed everybody
forward.
Standouts for me - Ian and Gray - Won everything they had to and
good to hear them talking and controlling the game
Anth - Often unsung but he makes your life a lot easier just
with his work rate which as a central midfielder who is a little
older and getting over a chest infection it was a great help
And Dan - As much as I want to say he was shite , Dan's
contribution all over the pitch yesterday was immense. I think
being that little bit further forward gives the other team
something to think about and he caused no end of problems, also
he has the mindset to dig back in when he is needed
Overall a great result and one that can spur us on up the
league. Peterlee Town at home this week lads so another trickier
game but at our best we really are a match for anyone

would love to be able to say yesterday was shit since i didnt
play ha but everyone did well and was a really good performance
which brought the result we needed so well done to everyone who
played :). First 30 minutes was when the game was won, simple
passing moves and some great goals got us infront and from then
it was our game to lose, 2nd half had good spells but like moo
said shape got lost and ppl went looking forward to much and a
couple of times left us exposed but we didnt fold and got the 3
points we were looking for. Grey gets my nod for mom won
everything and at times looked unplayable really good captains
performance, paul mac deserves alot of praise aswell even if it
is my place he takes ha i wouldnt begrudge him games ever and
after yesterdays performance he more than deserves his place,
tackles, passing and overall just calmed the midfield and took
control of the game, agree with paul aswell about dan he looked
back to his best yesterday i have said it since i signed we need
him up top getting at defenders and grabbing some goals always
looked a threat and linked up well with johnny so if we can get
those two hitting top form in the 2nd half of the season we have
a real chance to push for promotion.

First half we were quality at times, especially considering the
how bad the wind was.
Second half we eased off a bit and let nearly let them back into
it but we dug in and finished them off.
Gray and Ian were class for me, but Gray just gets my MOTM. Like
Robbo said, the defence looks settled and rock solid.
Dotty and Paul deserve mentions as well. For lads that haven't
played much recently, they both did really well.

Not much to be said that hasn't been said already.
Motm for me was, again, Gray. Committed, brave, and won
everything available. Even threw in a nice little flick over his
head n'all. Not bad for an old man.
Thought Dotty was class considering the amount of footy he's
missed and was a shame he had to go off injured cos he was
causing all sorts of problems. Could even have had another goal
as well.
