This Sunday

Well what do we think this week. These will be a tough physical
side we know and are so far unbeaten in the league. We usually
raise our game against teams like this so hopefully we can do it
this week.
Picking a team is pretty difficult at the min but Im going for a
physical side. Not sure who was at training or how they
performed as the turnout was shite again. Think Jakka and grey
will be important in this game.
.........Burns...........
Moo/Clucker/Ian/Sinky
Me/Jakka/Grey/Lee/Paul
..........Dan.............
I know ive put five in midfield but i would play more of a 4231
and play quite narrow. Im not a right winger but have to go in
somewhere :)

The turnout last night was abysmal. 10 including Bash.
Was still a decent session considering the low numbers. Some
good football was played in the first hour.
Jonny seemed to be moving around freely so he should be fit.
Jacka, Lee and Gray in the middle is a must in my opinion, with
Dan, Jonny and Paul/Hall in front of them.
Back 4 picks itself at the minute I think.

I agree with both points so far about it being a tough game this
Sunday but I think there are a few key things to being
successful (remember just my opinion)
Ball retention - We can't afford to be sloppy or give away
possession too often as they will punish us
Tempo - We need to be in there faces and press the ball higher
up the pitch than we were on Sunday
Being first to the ball - We need to win the first header or cut
out the through ball. On Sunday we were undone by too many long
balls or diagonal passes
My team for that reason would be
Burns
Moo Gray Ian Sinky
Jacka Lee
Me Dan Hally
Jonny
I am assuming that Jonny is fit as he was at training ( If not
put Dan up top, I can move into the middle and Robson can do a
job on the right)
Andy did really well on Sunday when he came on but I would leave
him as an impact player in the last twenty minutes
Main thing for this sunday is to play with no fear , we have
played alot better teams this season than Horden so we can go
into the game looking for three points. I know there is history
with this team but we need to keep our heads and play as a team
in order to pick up a result
See you all Sunday :)

Paul I think you could argue that the things you mentioned
should be done all the time regardless of opposition. They're
all things we need to improve on in my opinion.
These are beatable and for me they only batter teams because
they bully them, it's not that they're a good side.
Play anything like we did in that cup game a few weeks back and
we'll have 3 points.

Burnsy
Moo Ian Grey Sinky
Lee Paul Jacka
Dan Hally
Me
I wouldnt rush jonny back especially in such a physical game.
Playing with Dan and Hally this high up means they can drop back
into midfield when needed. Only picked grey over clucker, just so
we dont get caught out with pace at the back. Thought me and
hally linked up well when we came on sunday and would be canny
to get a run out from the start to see how it works.

i would go 442 against these try and get at them nice and early
and put them on the back foot, then if it isnt working we have
options to go 433 or 451 they have a handfull of decent players
but like ppl have pointed out there results are based on them
managing to bully teams so aslong as we play to our strengths we
shouldnt let that happen. i would go with
Burns
moo gray ian sinky
Andy Lee Paul Hally
Dan Johnny
Bench
robbo
clucker
me
kev
matty
I would start johnny up top with dan see how his ankle is
because he looked fine in training last night then if he
struggled we have options to change it with kev going up top or
andy switching up top with matty or robbo to come on out wide.
Hally and andy both put a good effort in when they came on so
deserve a start, robbo did well but wasnt able to get on the
ball as much as we would have liked, clucker only left out for
the reason ppl mentioned about getting caught out at the back
with pace. Paul mentioned there is history in this game which is
mostly down to me and the durka durka so left myself out, remove
me from the situation might remove some tension and allow us to
play our game without ppl worrying if i am going to go all roy
keane on him at any point ha. Whatever team we put out we have a
squad that can beat anyone when we are at our best, cyas sunday
