Sundays Cup Game

Training was interesting last night and picking a team for this
week will be difficult.
I'm presuming Macca is unavailable but everyone else is?
I know we beat a prem side a couple of weeks ago but from .what
I understand these will be a different proposition. We also
didnt have the best of games last time we played.
When we played 5 at the back against Gateshead we were decent
and Id go for this again.

A bit like the last team I picked I think Jakka should play in
these sorts of games but I had to pick myself and its your turn
:)
Even the bench is hard to pick especially as Tillas back and
he's been missing a while (not sure if he is there Sunday
like???)

Personally I'd prefer the extra man in midfield, maybe just
sitting in front of the back four rather than sweeping
There are so many options but I would go for
Burnsy
Moo Ian Zander Sinky
Jacka
Me Gray Lee
Dan
Jonny
Lots of options left over to utilise from the bench, definitely
at our best we can give them a good game and get a win to keep
going in the cups

cheers robbo ;) after last cup game u were all in favour of me
staying as captain and now i cant get a look in haha. As for
sunday i wouldnt change to much from last couple games, hearts
game we got the win and with a different ref and other things on
the day going our way that game would have been a bigger
scoreline which i think is all that left people dissapointed so
we move on and into this game with nothing to lose :). I would
go with a 451 formation going with
Burns
Moo Ian Grey Sinky
Paul
Andy Dan Lee Hally
Johnny
bench
me, kev, clucker, matty,tills
i have done myself no favours agreeing with robbo and dropping
myself haha but it was me or dan and theres only going to be one
winner there ;). Felt bad on clucker because he has played well
but gray was back to his best last two training sessions so
think he should come back in, andy like i said in other post was
really good last night so deserves a start, paul playing just
behind lee and dan to get on the ball and play the simple passes
and has the ability to play the killer ball that we need at
times. Johnny up top because he scores whenever he plays lately
but have to mention tilla did do well again last night just
johnnys form keeping him out. We have a really strong squad and
we have shown there is no reason why we cant take the game to
them on sunday and if we play to our potential we can come away
from the game with the win

Cheers for all the comments lads, always nice to hear you have
done well and its great for confidence so cheers for that- my
team would be pretty similar to the last cup game, jonny holds
the line well by himself and elvesy was immense on the right,
would just replace dotty with hally or leon because yhey both
looked sharp last night,, feel bad leaving zander out again
because i think hes one of our best players on his day bt in my
opinion he just doesnt seem happy at the min for some reason

personally i'd set up as 4-4-1-1
burnsy
moo ian zander sinky
me/andy jacka lee leet/hally
dan
johnny
this allows us to also change formation depending on how things
go.
if things take a turn for the worse we could drop lee back into
defence and have a back 5 with gibbo droppin into cm ( 5-4-1 )
or if we're comfortable push dan up ( 4-4-2 )
and if we're banging them in for fun also push leon/hally or
me/readymarcher round and go all out 4-3-3

id like to see a standard 4 4 2, that we can easy change to a
4 5 1. or a 4 4 1 1 .
hard to pick a team, but if dans not hundred percent ad
rather than him bench himself t come on and give us more of a
impact in the second half, than limp off five minutes into the
game at a 0 0. hes such a big player i think were going to need
him fit, plus id like to see grey integrated into the team some
how, as i feel he gives so much options and wins loads in the
air, plus the creativity from paul aswell would be a huge bonus.
jonnys playing well upfront and with the options off lee and
jacks in midfield,and robson ( with a name like that you should
have been done for burgling someones kid not speeding ) it does
show how much of a strong side we have.
with sinky ( lb) and moo (rb) my choice, and ian in defence.
to play with either the cluxanator or grey.
weve got matty boom batty,the lightning queen himself kev,
elvish elvsey, noel, andy missed readymarcher (apart from those
cracking headers in training), halls soother, anth mc lovin
martin, and others who have currently escaped my mind at this
time. and treacle tilla for a foreward option, who i thought was
outstanding at training.
but hope dans fit to spear head it with jonny, 4 4 2 and match
the bastards from the off ..
thats my opinion anyways.
