training 24th october
By: burnsy mfc Date: October 24, 2012, 3:18 pm

training i think was its best playing with the big goals, feel
like more people got benifits from it than the regular 7 aside
we play, how much would it cost to do that each week ? worth
paying for in my opinion.
good work out, individual performances were great, we played
some good stuff from the back and worked the flanks well, the
other team seemed to strugle at times, and dan for me doesnt
look his usual self at all wether its injury or tired from his
holiday im not sure.
couldnt pick a trainer of the week as there were so many good
players, lets hope we can put some of that into sundays game,
and dans if dans fit that a huge bonus.
oh and sorry elvesy, you wana frame that sentence, not often i
give out apologies !! :P
peace

I agree burnsy, some nice passing played at times and i like the
punishment for a bad pass because it made you play the simple
balls, i felt good and enjoyed the bigger goals to be able to
have a go at :)

We had the convo on the way back about doing it every week but
it's more coin and can we rely on the numbers every week? We
have some shit turn outs I mean leeroy had to pay a 10ner before
cos we didn't have enough people to cover the cost, just have to
see what the numbers are like
Was class tonight though us bibs were beasting it at times so
good performances still think some lads to put more effort in
like.
Trainer of the week goes to Andy thought his play and effort was
on par tonight got a couple of good goals aswell, yav done
yaself no harm tonight mate, Paul mac worked hard and played
well, And Lee is the muts nuts at the minute!

Cheers leon mate, lots of competition mate so we can only keep
grafting and waiting for chances, you played a few class crosses
in so it takes the difficulty out of trying to win headers and i
defo agree i thought the passing was excellent at times and
shows the simple stuff works, bibs did boss it like ;)

Thought training was spot on. Will be ideal if we can do that
every week. The tempo was pretty good all night as well,
normally it dies. Enjoyed the team I was on thought we retained
the ball really well at times. Lee, Paul Mac (even though he
killed me a few times!!), Andy, Tilla, Stinky, Clucker were all
good I thought all wanted the ball and made it easy.
I can understand Turnys crazy rant. There's nothing worse than
when you look up and there's nothing In front of you and know
one giving you a shout. I think when he said it it was more
across the whole of the game rather than just then. If that
makes sense.
Burnsy Burnsy Burnsy you angry man lol.
Good job we all love each other really (or does the egg not love
anyone?)
Roll on Sunday

It's much better with a bigger pitch and the big goals.
Thought us bibs were class at times, built from the back and
kept it well.
Andy did really well (even if some of my crosses were on a plate
for him ;)) Burnsy made some cracking saves and Leon put some
quality balls in as well.
One or two negatives but overall a decent session. Hopefully
play somewhere near our best this Sunday and get our second Prem
scalp.

Ha ha Robson It's only because I know you don't mind the ball to
feet even when under pressure, it says alot about my confidence
in you that I would give you the ball when you are in a tight
spot ( that's my excuse and im sticking with it)
I thought yesterday was good - As a training exercise it worked
very well. I believe ball retention wins games - for a number
of reasons
a) You can tire the opposition out when they are chasing around
for the ball and then if they get the ball they are too tired to
do anything with it
b) We can recover when we have the ball (make the ball do the
work)
c) Drag the opposition out of shape to create chances
d)The other team can't score when we have the ball
At times it may look like passing for passing sake but you are
much more likely to win a game if you have the ball more than
your opponent :)
My trainer of the week - Tilla -Showed how to lead the line and
was a link player when needed, always an option to feet and
thought his tactic of breaking wind everytime I closed him down
was genius :)
Potentially tough game on Sunday but we have shown in teh past
we are a match for any side, so let's take what we did last
night into the match keep hold of the ball,150% all over the
pitch and I am sure we will get the result we deserve
Anybody want to take a go at picking an XI or are people waiting
for another topic to be started
