thoughts on yesterday and players player

thought someone would have posted something by now ha, whats
everyones thoughts on yesterday then? and who stood out enough
to get players player this week?
I would go with ian or gray thought they both looked solid and
ian didnt look out of place after so long out was good to see
him get 90 minutes. Wasnt the best game to watch i would imagine
but i enjoyed it, we can play alot better but without ever
hitting top form in the game we never looked in any danger, we
should have scored more and i can take the blame for a couple of
wasted chances so sorry lads but its still nice to be picking up
points even when we arent at our best because they will all
count come the end of the season. Our build up play was sharp
and we walked through them with ease but again it was in the
final 3rd we let ourselves down with eather a poor pass or bad
decision making which is something i am sure will start to
improve now we are back training at the raich carter where the
play is alot quicker and the passing has to be spot on with how
       quick the pitches are.

We were quite sluggish and wasteful in the final third, playing
simple passes seemed to be a problem again, the pitch didn't
help with a lot of them but there can't really be any excuses
for messing up that many short range simple passes.
We weren't really troubled at the back and Ian coming back was a
massive plus for us. A big voice and looked back to his best
after a long lay off. He's my choice for motm like.
Thought Moo had another solid game i don't think i've ever seen
him have a bad game yet for us, keep it up lad.
Also Jonnys hold up play was excellent but we need runners from
midfield to support the attack more, there were plenty of times
Dotty had the ball and had no options infield and had to play a
ball down the line into space for someone to run into.
Think we need to work on dropping off and giving options to
people when we have the ball.
I know sinky didn't have his best game for us and think it just
needs to be left at that. He's saved us a few times this season
and has been a very good player so we can allow for the odd off
       performance.
Other than that it's good that we weren't at our best yet still
managed to win the game comfortably. Sign of a good team winning
       when not on top form.

It's already been pointed out but I thought we were comfortable
without playing anywhere near our best. We should've scored a
few more but a win is a win, the defence were solid and I don't
       think Burnsy was really troubled.
Some of the passing was awful - some of it down to the pitch but
a lot of the time it was down to no movement and people running
out of options. I think we need to be a bit better in terms of
       wanting the ball.
Good to see Ian back and he was MotM for me.

Apologies again for my shit performance. Best players on the
pitch for me were easily gray ian and jacka all 3 won nearly
everything and kept it simple the kind of players every team
need but don't get much praise for being silently solid

I agree with alot of what has already been said
Not the best performance but we did enough to get the win, which
short term was all that mattered
My opinion - Passing was sloppy at times, the conditions were
horrible so this may have had a lot to do with it. We looked to
force play rather than keep the ball, people need to make
themselves an option when we have the ball- make yourself heard,
at times the pitch is deathly quiet , how do you expect people
to know you want the ball if you don't tell them?
Defensively we looked solid - Gray and Ian were our best
players, we weren't that busy but when they were called into
action they delivered and when they had the ball they used it
       well
This Sunday ball retention is key, against a Prem league side if
we give the ball away as sloppily as yesterday we will get
murdered and spend most of the game chasing shadows
I think we are good enough to cause an upset but we need to be
better when we have the ball.
Wednesday on the slick pitch will be a good test and people
should use it as an opportunity to get on the ball as much as
possible -maybe we should split the pitch and have smaller sided
games so people have the ball more often?
But three points is three points and we are in a much better
position in the league than a few weeks ago - at least we are
moaning about not having played well and won rather than lost

i was utter shite anarl so i complete the left side apologys
       aswell.
getting results is what its all about but we can and need to be
better than that, the conditions was horrible but can't be an
excuse for wht was a sluggish display, let's give easington a
tough ride on sunday and play to the maximum, looking forward to
training on wednesday especially te besty 4 mile run :D

We were not great on Sunday but got the result. Grey MOM for me.
I hear what your saying Paul and that's certainly a way to make
sure people get more touches in training but we shouldn't have
to do that. People should always want the ball anyway weather
its in training or a game. At times its embarrassing how much
people don't look for the ball. Surely thats why were all here
       isn't it.
It looks like I'm not going to be there on a Sunday very often
for a while so I'm gutted. Even more so when I see people
playing and they don't want the ball.
Ill still be there on a Wed though so none of you will miss me
       :)
