Thoughts and feedback

Well a busy weekend of matches over and both tinged with
differing levels of disappointment
Anybody want to share their thoughts or feedback on the last few
days?
For me On Friday their was a lot of positives that probably
outweigh the result, we grafted as a team and at times made them
look very average. I honestly think that the final whistle came
at the wrong time for us and given an extra five ten minutes we
would have nicked it. One thing the whole day proved was how
enjoyable those type of events are and it has made me hungry to
get to more finals, next season we will be lifting silverware I
am sure.
On Sunday, I was left very disappointed . It is easy to point to
the depleted numbers, but we should have had enough about us to
beat them. I was not impressed by them at all, all they relied
on was he long throw and hump forward. We added to our own
downfall but freak errors happen and it is unfair to blame
anyone, but we didn't play enough football, our strengths are
when we get the ball down and play, at times we cut through them
with ease when we played it simple, at times , myself included
panicked on the ball and reverted to long hopeful balls. I don't
know why this was the case, maybe the pitch, maybe tiredness
from Friday. But I think moving forward we need to get back to
basics, play short sharp passes that create space rather than
trying to force the play, doing this I'm sure we will start
creating chances and winning games.
Still a long way to go this season lads, some very tough but
winnable games starting on Sunday at Belmont, let's push on and
see just how high up we can finish
We have come so far in the past year so let's make sure the
season ends with some high notes

Friday we were awesome. We started slow and looked nervous but
after the first 15 we looked solid and comfortable.
We scored our goal too late and probably would've gone on to win
it if we'd scored earlier. We can be proud of the performance
though and take it into the rest of the season.
Sunday I thought we were unlucky but we were poor at times (not
as poor as the ref mind, the knacker). Johnny and Anth played
well for their first game and considering the players we had
missing I thought we did alright.
Still plenty to play for this season so we'll need a big
performance against Belmont and they always give us a good
physical game.

Biggest thing Sunday I noticed when I came on was the lack of
simple passing. Picking out the simple ball was often neglected
which is odd because this is our biggest threat. Keeping
possession and playing neat simple passes creates space and we
just didn't do it at all.
Like Paul has said, I don't know if it was a hangover from
Friday for some of the lads or what, but that game should never
have been lost.
Would also like to agree with Kev that Anth grafted well and
worked well n the midfield, and Jonny took his goal well and
looked a threat whenever he got the ball.
Let's just get back the attitude and application we showed on
Friday and win our remaining games!!!

Friday speaks for itself, best effort av seen by us in the two
years av played for the duck, the graft was unreal we were so
unlucky. Sunday I was still quite impressed by us positives to
take in that Johnny and Anth made there debuts and did well for
me personally I felt I was getting up and down well just had
absolutly nothing in me cos I ran me knackers off Friday and 2nd
half showed I couldn't carry on really but still think we done
ok so just take the positives have a bit of a rest and get
ourselves ready for Belmont Sunday.
