Peterlee Chilla 2 Seaham Mallard 4 - Thoughts ?

Right lads , good hard fought win this morning
Don't think we were ever really in trouble today. Their two
goals, one was a screamer and the second was never a penalty,
Ben just looked too guilty so the ref gave it.
We played some good stuff in bits but there wasn't enough
urgency or snap in our passing and at times they were first into
the tackle too often but all in all we looked comfortable,
created lots of chances and could have won by a lot more.
A good three points setting us up for the promotion run in
My mom today even if he did keep smacking the ball at me was
Anth.
Never gives up always talking, always wanting the ball and won
some great tackles today
Another big game next week, three points definitely up for grabs
building up more momentum for the cup final

Loved todays game.
Thought we were always in control and the team spirit was back.
The final result flattered them as I think we could have had
atleast 7. Special mention to the defence who played with
composure and didn't give Burnsy much to do.
MOM - Lee, although first half paul was class.

Much better performance this week all round. We had a few out
this week and everyone who filled intoday were capable of taking
those positions for themselves.
Defence were rock solid
Midfield ran and chased everything, bossed it
Uptop did what they're meant to do and stick it in the onionbag
M.O.M for me goes to grey won everthing centre of the park also
notched another for his growing tally.
Let's use this win to boost our confidence and push us to win
next week

Thought it was a gud display all round. Grey macca and lee
played well, but for me sinky and anth stood out. Last couple of
games sinky has been solid supported the wingers well and
covered for the centre half's as has anth. Anth gets my overall
vote just for his attempt to kill paul with a big smile on his
face ;) .....

was a much better game to watch than in recent weeks, thought
gray looked back to his best, macca looked like he had never
been away from cb slotted straight back in and dealt with
everything, anth and sinky both impressed aswell both with
defending and attacking sides of the game, matty wont get a
mention from people because his game is on the ball running at
people but think he deserves a mention as he did so much
tracking and off the ball work which i know more than most goes
unnoticed alot of the time, plenty of positives to take from the
game but without sounding to doom and gloom a few negatives
aswell, its alrite celebrating the win but focus needs to be
kept and took into the next games, sundays performance got the
job done without us having to go up to that next level we have,
two sloppy goals for them which cant be helped but a little bit
slacking of in the second half could of cost us so we need to
make sure we keep the tempo up in games, also against a better
team not putting our chances away could come back and bite us, i
know i am one to talk about goal scoring but there was more than
a few clear cut chances that need to end up in the net if we are
going to keep challenging near the top of the table, anyways
rant over lads dont want to put a downer on the game because you
all played well and were deserved winners :) just pointing out
the other side of things to make sure we keep at it in the final
stages of the season
