       Formal complaint for Jacka
   DIR By: Macca
       Date: January 23, 2012, 5:39 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Alrite lads - were gonna make a formal complaint against that
dick head yest and also appeal the referees decision not to send
       him off
Ive written a statement, which i'll send to bob anderson (league
       chairman)
Just wanted to show you it before i send it (especially jacka)
to make sure you agree with what im saying, as im making
statements on behalf of the team as a whole and dont wanna
speculate about the opinions of the rest of the team before
atleast running it by you. Also, the statement will have to be
factually accurate so if any of it is untrue/misleading then let
me know and i can change it
       Here it is:
Official complaint against player (Ali Shah) and appeal against
       referee's decision (Colin Boxall)
Regarding incident that occured in match between Seaham Mallard
       vs Horden Comrades:
Sunday 23rd January 2012. Peterlee & District Sunday League -
       Divison 2. Referee: Colin Boxall

This is a complaint regarding a wreckless challenge made in the
second hald of the above match by 'Ali Shah' (Horden Comrades)
on 'Daniel Jackson' (Seaham Mallard). At the time, our players
who witnessed the tackle, myself included, saw it as deliberate,
wreckless and malicious - it was a two-footed challenge with
studs showing. As a result, Daniel had to leave the field of
play in agony and it was later confirmed at hospital that he had
fractured his fibula. As a team, we were also disgusted by the
attitude of the Horden Comrades players after the incident, as
they were seen to be congratulating the player who made the
foul, who showed no remorse. Also, not one of the players from
their team came to apologize or offer their support or sympathy
to daniel after the match. Daniel is now in plaster for 6 weeks
and walking with elbow crutches, and this is obviously having a
huge impact on his life. We, as a team, are also unhappy with
the referee's decision regarding that particular challenge and
wish to appeal that decision - the player was booked but we
strongly believe he should have been sent off and suspended, as
the tackle was very dangerous and deliberate, therefore, the
player was guily of serious foul play. This incident was one of
many during the game where (we believe) the player in question
set out to deliberately injure our players, and we feel this
warrented a suspension at the very least. We wish to make an
official complaint against the Horden Comrades player (Ali Shah)
and to appeal the decision made by the referee (Colin Boxall).

       James McLardy,
       Seaham Mallard Secretary
Let me know if you agree with it or think any of it needs
       changing - cheers lads

No problem at all mate. I'll tweak the part about the cast -
plus i'll spell check it before i send it
Bob asked for a statement n is requesting a ref report so he'll
defo look into it - we'll just have to see what happens
p.s. i think the doctors talkin about compartment syndrome - its
quite common with fractures n usually doesnt cause any problems

Daniel half way through needs to be a capital. There GK did
apoligise as we walked from the pitch with Jakka. I would
mention specificaly the "high fives" rather than just say that
they congratulated him. You could mention the earlier tackle on
Anth which would have resulted in similar injurys had Anth not
       jumped.
My only other thing would be what mark did you give the referee?
If we made no comment of the incident on the refs form and/or
gave him a high mark this would counter claim any complaint we
had ( I think). I know the referee wasnt bad (other than not
giving out a few more cards) but Im not sure where we stand if
       we marked him highly.
Well done Macca for taking this up. We all want to play footy on
a Sunday and get to work on the Monday unscathed so its
       important to bring this up.
I would also advise that knowone makes any comment on it on
Facebook or on here other than constructive stuff on this
thread as if it goes to the FA they will look in to stuff and if
he apeals anything and somehow finds some "nasty" comments it
could make this a waste of time.
Sounds like Im being a bit preachy but Im just trying to help.
Have had to do a few appeals and complaints and dealings with
the FA and you have to be quite careful as it could become a
       leagal thing.
Peace out and well done Macca.

Nice one - we've give ref low marks, which shud give this
complaint a bit more weight - also there were loads of incidents
where he could of booked players and didnt, and id say the
tackle on jacka alone is enough to justify low marks
