        TEAM MORALE !!!!!

Todays game was difficult for every player on the pitch today,
not because of the opposition, but that horrendous gale force
       wind we had all game.
Firstly, if someone makes a mistake, rule 1 .... dont have a go
at him, especially if that mistake cost a goal, nobody on this
team is perfect, and some people think the best thing to do is
shout at him and tell him how he should have done it but at the
end of the day if he knew what he was gunna do would cost a
goal, he wouldnt have done it, plus its only gunna make him feel
worse so thats got to stop.
secondly, desission making, if somebody decides to do something
and we end up gettin the ball straight back, it doesnt matter ,
get on with the game, mark up and play as a TEAM, one example of
many, the ball came through, instead of sliding out to the
players feet and grabbing the ball , i slided out and kicked it
down field for a throw in, nothing wrong with that, stopped the
opposition scoring, so i dont need to be told from anyone that i
should be picking that ball up, if i feel theres a chance of the
ball getting spilled to a opposing player or getting injured for
a avoidable collission then im gunna whack it out, im a
goalkeeper, i know my possition as do the defence, midfield and
       strikers,
No striker, or midfielder should be telling the defence or
goalkeeper how to play, as we dont tell the strikers how to
shoot, or the wingers how to cross the ball.
Not alot is aimed at me but theres a constant bitch and whinge
throughout the whole game, even when we were winning, its gotta
stop and people have got to start and let players play in there
positions, if dan has picked them to start obviously he feels
they are good enough and right for that possition in that game,
so keep that in mind next week, as we are a TEAM so lets fcuking
       act like it !

This is me all ower. Just pissed ya off when basics aren't done
and end up in just stupid mistakes that could be easily avoided.
Its always the defences fault or so it seems but that's just
football. Too many times a pass goes astray, heads drop straight
away and instead of trying to correct it with a 5 yard track
back or a tackle, too many times its just left up to others to
sort it out. Av gotta admit a must sound like a right prick
screamin all the time but at the end of the day defence can see
a whole lot more than other players on the pitch so sometimes it
not always bollocks that comes out me gob. Apologies to anyone a
may offend but were all old enough to tak it on the chin. We
shouldn't sit and cry about it! :) rant ower

everyone needs to just chill out and enjoy it....we arnt playing
at the highest level we are a sunday league football team and
the only way you get somewhere is if you enjoy it, constant
moaning throughout the team will get us know where...i remember
the game against the half moon this season in my eyes our best
performance of the season when we all had a really good team
spirit after the game there was not 1 bit of bitching all game
and everyone was just on the same wave length and we played them
off the park, this needs to get back in our systems because we
have some hard games coming up against the better sides and if
we shout at each other it will de rail our season because the
winning habbit will quickly evaperate and the loosing mentality
       will set in.
another point anarl why is there always like 2-3 groups of
people who dont do much interacting with the other lads??
we are a team and the only way to go is as 1! for instance back
at the mallard after where is half the team? see most of the
times inn lads are always there, our lot use to last season now
its quite shite, come back have a bit crack with the lads man

Burnsy - I think thats probably aimed at me because I remember
the incident. I wasn't saying you should have picked it up just
asking if you could have, if you felt you couldn't then fair
enough, like you said you know your position better than me
On the main issue, yes its important to have good team morale
and to enjoy games but I want to win as well. If I shout at
someone during a game I would hope they have the sense to
realise that its about footy and not take it personally. If
they feel I'm out of line then they can talk to me after the
match and if I was then I'll hold my hands up and apologise.

I want to win aswell but i think we're more likely to win if we
get behind each other n support each other as a team rather than
criticize n give each other hard time for making mistakes, which
will knock peoples confidence - that doesnt mean no shouting (we
dont wanna be bunch of pussies), it just means if ya gonna shout
at someone make sure its constructive and not just a winge - for
most players it is usually constructive but there is still a lot
of wingin in the squad - plus i wish midfield n defence could
       just get on

I would like to think if I do shout at someone it is
constructive and for the good of the team but I might be told
       different
I'll have you know me and gray get on fine as a couple, I think
its zander and paul that have relationship issues ;)

No issues as far as i'm concerned, like Zander said we cant see
everything so rely on the defence shouting at us likewise the
other way round. I know if I do something wrong somebody is
gonna be annoyed and they might have a go, which is good , it
       shows they care.
I know it should always be constructive but in the heat of a
game the message gets lost and it can come across as a rant. I
for one don't mean it like that. I know how good each and every
one of our squad are and so am annoyed when I or anybody makes a
silly mistake but it's just frustration its not personal.
Like I said before I am trying to take it from my game but at my
       age it is hard ;)
Apologies if anybody was upset I love you all really , just hate
       losing :)
I dont think morale is low to be honest, the banter is still
there before the game. Yes maybe we could do more as a team
after the games and on a weekend but other things will always
get in the way and it can't be helped.
We just need to get back to winning ways. Sunday was a bad
result but if we were to look at the 90 minutes as a whole we
dictated the tempo of the game and for most part were completely
in control. The conditions were awful and not codusive to free
flowing football but from all reports the standard of play at
training has been spot on, fitness across the squad looks good.
We are fourth in the league and in two semi finals.
So we all agree to be kinder to one another. I'll give Zander a
hug if it helps and we go out on Sunday and get three points
       Agreed ? :)

I think it's just that everyone reacts differently to being
shouted at. On a personal level it spurs me on to be better. We
all know when we have made a mistake, and shouting doesn't
always exactly make the person feel better about it cos we're
all different, but like Ian said, if one of you shouts at
another on the pitch for something we should know it's just
about that and not to take it personally.
Unless it's Zander callin me a moth every bastard 5 minutes
       haha.
We all have to remember too that as a squad, this is still our
first season together so we're all still getting to know each
other and still figuring out when to take things as a joke etc.
