Sunday VS Horden- Starting 11
By: Robson3022 Date: January 19, 2012, 4:16 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Roll up roll up get your opinion out there.
I think these were a big physical and technically the best team
we've played this season. It sounds a little harsh but I don't
think we can out football them as at times they moved the ball
really well and we just chased our tails. I think we should look
to expose there weaknesses which were there two centre half's
were heavy and they were a pretty angry bunch. I would say catch
them on the break and get in there faces so they loose it a bit.
With that in mind I don't necessarily think the all "in form"
players should play. So......
...............Burns...............
JimBob/Zander/Ian/Anth
Paul/Jakka/Dan/Grey/Macca
...............Andy.................
Burns- Speaks for itself
Back four have looked pretty solid of late
Paul-I think Dan needs to play in the middle playing on the
break I think Paul would work out here.
Jakka-The man to annoy (as long as he doesent end up winding
himself up!!!)
Dan-I think Dan needs to play in the middle this game as last
time we played these he ended up in there anyway
Grey- Scored playing up top last time but is a much better CM
Macca-Should slot in here if fit (probably wont be!!!!) Will
need his energy
Controversially I've gone with Andy up here. When he plays he
puts in 110% and it will be a hard slog plus he loves being
physical.
Kevs pace would make sense here playing counter attacking but
you don't use it enough mate and I think you know that. Hally
has been playing well and there's no doubt that since the
beginning of the season your work rate has gone up massively.
Rossi you would be perfect for this game if you listened to
people a little more you look fit as a fiddle when you came back
from the run and I think you were good in training going forward
but stopped playing when we didn't have the ball.
I always try to put myself in the team and would like to think I
could do the hold up job up top but I haven't been to training
as much as the other lads and think it's a bit unfair plus I'm
****. Think Leon could go in here somewhere as loves a tackle
but we've only got 11 spaces!!!
Dotty and Matty where two of the best players at training last
night and if it looks like the roughem up counter attack isn't
working then these two could easily change our style. Cant
really believe I've left Dotty out!!!
Sinky could be our missing LB but to start in this game would be
a bit of a ****.
Jesus our squads big. That's enough arse kissing sorry if I've
offended anyone...god I'm bored at work!!!!

i couldnt agree more about it being a physical i remember the
last game really well and although they did play some good
football we let them get on with it far to much, at times we
were far to slow to close down the play and for one reason or
another we looked out of sorts against them, but with that said
it still only ended 3-1 and we are playing to a whole new
standard since the start of the season so we can really take the
game to them on sunday, also they have apparently lost a couple
of players which can only play into our hands but regardless if
they have a full strength team or not if we play to our
potential and get about the game in the way we can this is a
game that we should be looking to win. So with all that said and
again because of the physical nature of the game i would go back
to the 4-5-1 making my team
Burns
Jimbob Ian Zander Anth
Dotty Paul Gray Me Hally
Dan G
Burns - best keeper in the league :D
JImbob - never shys away from a tackle and links up brilliant
with dotty
Ian/Zander - again best cb partnership for me
Anth - would of put sinky in because i know he would be ideal
for this time of game, but credit where it is due and anth has
stepped in and done really well in recent games so deserves his
place
Dotty - the only worry is he could be roughed up and taken out
of the game but if he can get started early then he could easily
prove to be to much for them
Paul - recent weeks have shown he is back to his best and is
doing more than just picking up assists, he is grafting and
getting about the pitch alot more which everyone is noticing
Gray - agree with people saying he is better suited at cm which
i hate to admit because it leaves me out the team in certain
formations haha but keeps scoring and is in great form, also
missed this game earlier in the season so will be a plus having
him back
Me - just want to play :)
Hally - work rate is a key improvement this year but over the
last couple of months i have seen more tackles coming from him
aswell so aslong as that continues sunday theres no reason he
shouldnt be involved in the game (also he scored a great goal
against these last time out)
Dan G - target man, danger man whatever u want to call him he is
scoring goals for fun and is in the type of form which is
winning us games, only worry is he could be isolated on his own
up there so the midfield will need to offer plenty of support
need to mention how hard it was to come to that 11, there have
been some great performances in training from the likes of
matty, andy, kev, rossi so all of those could have gotton a
place in the team, macca aswell would of gotton in there
somewhere but after hearing him say he didnt feel rite last
night i am not sure if he is 100% fit and in a game like this
any little knock will be made alot worse because of the rough
nature this game will bring. I think i have wrote enough now
though ha so see yas sunday lads

Totally agree with Jacka.
I think Sinky would be ideal at left-back but Anth has been
really good lately and done well to hold his place down.
This is winnable if we're up for it.

Right here goes, obviously wasn't at training so this is based
purely on putting out a team that can win this match
Burnsy
JimBob Ian Zander Sincy
Me
Macca Jacka Grey Dotty
Dan
Burnsy - No need to explain
Jimbob - Best right back at the club , simple as
Ian & Zander - Solid and understand each other's games
Sincy - Naturally left sided, clearly good enough so deserves
his chance ( I know Anth has done well but I always prefer a
left sided left back)
Me - Really think I can do a job here, let's me get on the ball
and hopefully dictate the tempo
Macca - Will be a real threat and will work well with Jim Bob
Jacka - Just needs to get on there nerves and disrupt there
rythymn, and will score if he keeps getting in the box
Grey - Can be more influential and more of a goal threat
arriving late into the box
Dotty - Can play anywhere but this allows him to come in side
and get crosses in or shots on goal, also understands how to
work well with a full back and will help sincy
Dan - Always for me has to be up top. The ball on Sunday needs
to stick and then we play off the forward.
Plenty of options on the bench and a team that is flexible
enough to adapt and change the system if required. This team has
plenty of height and a real presence which is what we maybe
lacked against them last time. We need to start fast and get in
their faces, play our football, nothing silly never be afraid to
launch it if you have to and create chances which we know we
will and make sure we take them
This is a big few weeks coming up, starting with three points on
Sunday

Might as well post anarl cas am bored.
Burnsy
Jimbob,me,ian,macca
Dotty grey gibbo jakka leon
Anth
A know av left a few good players out but ya can't play 20 odd a
side. Grey nd dan in the middle alongside jackka would mean
thered be some anger and meat in a tackle in the middle of the
park. Exactly what ya need against the physical sides. Av hoyed
anth up top to basically chase everything. Close down defenders
and not leave them with any time on the ball at all. Anth
deserves to keep a place in the side with him being class of
late. Bringin paul on in the 2nd half to tire them out chasing
his passes all ower. Reckon that's all av got to say for now.
Untill sunday... Farewell

Burnsy
Jim Zander Ian Anth
Me
Dotty Paul Jacka/Macca Hally
Dan
I think we need to keep a steady team and play our way. I hear
they were strong last time but we have a really good team now
and to change to much could create problems. I would move myself
back behind Jacka and Paul or even Macca as I think he could be
perfect for the role of playing just off Dan as he drifts around
and opposition teams find him hard to mark, however, I dont wont
to leave out Jacka, paul or myself. This line up with me sitting
a little more and letting Paul and Jacka do their thing should
mean we have a balanced side. The defence/keeper have been
excellent and know that if they keep a clean sheet Dan will
always get chances.
Can't wait for this game I would much rather play teams like
this every week then Ashdown.
p.s. Pleased to see Anth getting in most peoples teams regularly
now as I think his attitude to training and in games is quality.
Nice one mate
Class dismissed

Only thing I'm going to say is this is probably harsh on anth
but I always prefer having a left footer at left back
