I don't think we played bad on Sunday so I wouldn't make too
many changes unless there's more missing than I think.
Burnsy
Anth - Jimbob - Ian - Leon
Dotty - Paul - Jacka - Gray - Hally
Dan
No explanation needed, we all know what each of them can do.
I'd have gone 4-4-2 but Jacka's been class recently and Paul and
Gray are probably too good to leave out so...

I am busy Robson, I do work you know :)
I have two trains of thought about Sunday. Both will probably be
wide of the mark
1.
Burnsy
Jimbob Ian Me Leon
Dotty Jacka Robson Dan Matty
Hally
I can play at the back although I would rather it be kept a
secret :)
5 in midfield although Dan or Robson can play in the hole and
move Hally into a more central role
Or
2.
Burnsy
Dotty Jimbob Ian Leon
Matty Jacka Me Hally
Robson Dan
4-4-2 Matty and Dotty can be inter changeable, Robson has done
well when he has come on so deserves a chance from the start
I'm sure neither will bear any resemblance to the actual XI but
thought I'd have a go

Yar I want to see Paul Mac at CB think you could be good there
and would mean the Dotty-JimBob would still be there

I know it's 'only the Times' but I think putting people in
positions they're not used to playing would be daft. It won't be
an easy game and they'll want to beat us. They fought for it
last time even though we won 4-1.
Gray reckons he might be there, but if he isn't, I'd swap him
for Matty cos it's these games that he performs better in.

As interesting as it would be to see paul at cb ha i think he is
to attacking to be stuck at the back, theres goals in this game
if we go about it the way that we can and even with the few
people missing there is still more than enough quality whoever
is put on the pitch to get the result we need. With that said i
would go for 4-4-2
burnsey
anth jimbob ian leon
dotty me paul matty
hally dan
burnsey - speaks for itself best keeper in the league on his day
anth - with the shortage of defenders sunday anth will be ideal
at rb bags of energy and has looked solid there in the past
jimbob - with no macca or zander jimbob can slot in at cb
ian - hasnt put a foot wrong since he signed from what i can
remember
leon - has really stood out last couple of weeks really looks
like he is enjoying his football hope it continues
dotty - great form atm be really hard to leave him out
me - no grey or would of dropped me and put him in here
paul - could be a game where he can take hold of it early and
have a big influence on the result
matty - has waited patiently and has impressed in training so
deserves a chance for me
hally/dan - work great together up top and between them they can
bag a few goals if they are on form

Dotty isn't a defender man haha he's much more effective in
attacking areas and he's clever player who keeps the ball well
comes in side and links up with the attack well, would be an
absolute waste at full back, got more natural players who can
play there like Anth who done well last week when he came on so
he deserves the chance to do a job there

I agree that we shouldn't take the times for granted because
they will wanna win this game and the idea of playing people in
positions they're not used to is just plain stupidity in my
opinion, play the players on form and who's performing in games
and training,simple as

Just to make a point when dotty joined he said that he'd played
most lately as a left back so he obviously can play at the back
also when people name their team its an opinion, it has no
bearing on the actual side that's picked so each one is as valid
as the next. To label something as stupid is not constructive
and only stops people from wanting to put forward ideas
I'm not trying to start an argument just think that this is not
what this forum is for
moral objection over let's get back to the banter :)
