Sunday 20th November vs Gilesgate The Shoes
By: Paul Mac Date: November 16, 2011, 3:46 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I know it seems strange to discuss team selections after a 10-2
victory but nevertheless people may have opinions of where
changes may need to be made
I will kick things off and again I apologise to anybody I leave
out any changes are purely tactical as I think everybody had a
       good game on sunday
Burnsy - No need for explanation, number 1
Jim Bob - Really making that position his own the combination
with Dotty is a real force
Zander - Twisty fucker but has really stepped up his game this
season( assuming he's not dancing this week)
Ian - Big lump can kick and head it which is what you need back
       there ;)
Lee - Has always wanted to be Ian Harte and this is his chance
Dotty - Best player for me the last few weeks, fitness has
improved so much and he is having an impact on a game for the
       whole 90 mins
Gray - Threat going forward and never stops battling - Need to
start being more vocal again but he knows that.
Me - Not as good as I was last year.
Hally - Good hat trick on Sunday but I think he is more of a
       threat from the left.
Macca - I think playing just behind a forward could be Macca's
secret position. he has got great pace and is a really good
       finisher
Dan - Needs to be furthest forward. Sometimes by dropping deep
he has too much to do when he picks up the ball by moving him
ten yards up he will be even more of a threat.
Subs - No need to pick a keeper as Russ sleeps in his kit and
will be ready if called upon
Leon - Unlucky not to keep his place but to experiment with
Macca would mean somebody losing there place and I couldn't
justify dropping Hally after a hat trick
Matty - Unlucky not to get more game time so deserves a chance
       if it comes up
Kev - I would always have him there as he is such a threat,
doesn't need to be told what he should be doing as he knows
       himself :)
Jacka - Sorry mate that I couldn't find a place for you but I
didn't want to drop myself :)
Robson - Hasn't been involved the last few weeks so deserves a
       run out
       Apologies to :
       Ross
       Warren
       Andy
And anybody who I have missed off
Sunday will be a tough one lads , they will think they can get
something after their performances against us last year so we
need to start fast and get their heads down early and hopefully
get a similar result to last week
       Come on the Mallard!!!!!!!!!!

After such a good win last week, i would keep the same squad as
last week. Wasnt a bad display last week from anyone all the
subs were all eager to get on, and the players who did get on
       all made a impact.

I always think this should be done on a wedensday night after
traning to see who really is trying to fight for there places at
       traning

i love the dawdon ripper aka Macca but he doesnt deserve to
start really because people go to training week in week out or
so and he's never there and Dan's told him he needs to up it
because he's ment to assistant manager instead of poking fanny's
       down the dene!

Ive seen him poking loads of fanny this week. My opinion hasnt
changed from training. I enjoyed it tonight. For me it has to be
the same starting 11. Its interesting having what I would call
two first teamers on the bench (Jakka and Macca) as if you fuck
up Sunday your place could be swiped away. Heathy compitiotion
       though.

It's only because I want to see how he does in that position
that I had him in the XI .
I have my own views on how you pick a team on a Sunday but that
is my own opinion and so isn't important, purely based on last
week I agree that it makes sense to keep the same line up

Im not gonna apologize for not bein there 2nite - i was viewing
a flat n i txt dan in advance to let him know
That wouldve been an acceptable excuse for anyone else - so why
should i be treat any different - just cos im assistant
Plus, i havent been skippin trainin n matches just to go rapin
in dawdon - ive had genuine injuries n was unwell for a while
Im not sayin i deserve to start on sunday - but me bein dropped
shouldnt be based on me not making training tonight
p.s. i'll meet ya down the dene leon n we can make up there ;)
... then again ya a bit old for me

i know mate Dan said, am not on about tonight though am just
making the point that the players who don't get picked as much
and train every week should be still thought of because it is
harsh on them am not aiming this at you mate ad say the same if
it was anyone else who didnt turn up much and unwell pffffffft
living it up down the snooker club more like ;)
