-- SQUAD --
By: burnsy mfc Date: November 13, 2011, 8:17 am

Alot of people get dropped game in and out, but its gotta be
hard for dan cos the quality we have to pick from is unreal
like, so that said, id like EVERYONE to have a go at the squad
they would pick, i.e starting 11 plus 5 subs.
with a comment next to why youve selected that person etc.
EVERYBODY is match fit, so you cant shy out picking someone cos
they injured.
-- just be interesting to see who would pick who and how much
contraversie can also be done :) plus formations etc..
hopefully it might make ya realise how hard it is when you try
it for yourself.

GK-- Burnz -- Best keeper by far best in the league for me
RB -- Jimbob -- Makes the game look so easy 1 of the best
players this season
CB -- Zander -- When hes nt dancing hes a immense centre half
CB -- Macca -- When i was in goal always felt confident with you
in defence need a better 1st touch tho!!
LB -- Lee -- So calm on the ball and big threat on our set plays
RW --Dotty -- Best signing this season fitness has came now so
making a big impact EVERY week
CM -- Grey -- Since hes recieved the captains band hes been
great scoring every week just needs to stop twisting in the
first 2 minutes of the game
CM -- Paul -- Have to admit i wanted you dropping all season
however the past few weeks youve been much better and getting
back to your best
LW -- Leon -- Best left wing we have loves a challange like to
see you on more set plays tho
CF -- Dan -- 17 goals so far this season says it all
CF -- Hally -- Work rates improved vastly scoring goals gettin
assists playing really well
Subs
Warren -- Can come on in defence and on the wings
Jacka -- Little gremlin can break a game up better than anyone
on the team
Ian -- Hard to leave you out the team but Macca piped the spot
for me
Rossi -- So strong holding the ball up can beat a man and showed
against Murton can strike a ball too
Anth -- Can play in various positions in the midfield and at the
back
Was harder to pick then a thought. I went for 442 simply because
its been working as of late and with the players we have can be
changed easily if needed. Theres a few big names av missed out.
Andy for me the only issue is your goal count. The way Dan and
Haly have been playing you need to make all your chances count
and goals arnt coming easily to you. Kev so fast great finisher
or a ball just dont show it enough. Matty showed you can score
just seem to get bullied on th pitch. Robson just havnt seen
enough of you cos i havnt been to training. Russ cannt complain
about your commitment but to many basics schoolboy faults. If av
missed anybody am sorry but all a could tink of.

I think it would all depend on who we were playing. I was
talking to Dan about it the other day and if we are all there
every week the team can be selected depending on our opponents.
For example yesterday an attacking team as we were looking to
get plenty of goals however when we play the more difficult
sides in the league we can adopt a more defensive approach. I
also think form comes in to it. At the beginning of the season
the other cf place was up for grabs.......whoever was
training/playing the best would play. Although this is still the
case Hally has made the place his own because of his
performances if the other strikers want his spot its Hally you
have to be better than If you get what I mean.
So Defensive and on current form......451/433
................Burns...............
JimBob/Zander/Ian/Lee
Macca......Grey.........Jackka
............Paul/Dan...............
............HallyorDotty...........
Burns-Has been excellent all season
JimBoB-Always looks to play from the back (just how it should
be)
Zander/Ian- Have a good partnership and have been playing well.
Lee-Looked good at left back
Macca-He is one of our best 11 players he has to play somewhere
and has been enjoying MF I think
Grey- Captain has been excellent I thought you were quiet Sunday
not bad just quiet and you managed to score two and assist!!!
Jakka- There's no better man to get in peoples faces and before
he got injured was argubly our in form CM
Paul- Mate you've probably had the most stick "he's not as good
as last year" have been the cries. I think the last two weeks
where we have been experimenting/missing it has shown that when
you don't play we miss you. You seem to dictate the pace in
which we play.
Dan-goes to the meetings and collects the money so he has to
play. More involvement in CM against the more physical/better
teams
HallyorDotty- Hally works so hard and has been playing really
well. Dotty I think is technically our best footballer but some
times gets muscled out when we play the bigger sides.
Bench
HallyorDotty
Anth-Has played well the last couple of weeks and is versatile
Me-I will play anywhere and always want the ball (weather I
should want it is a different matter)
Warren-A willing runner and when he wants the fittest man on the
team
Leon-Would give us a different option if we wanted to change the
formation loves a scrap
When we played the weaker sides (either physically or ability
wise)442
..........Burns.................
JimBob/Ian/Zander/Lee
Dotty/Paul/Grey/Leon
.........Dan/Hally...........
This is the "in form" team at the min
442 gets us plenty of goals as shown on Sunday
Leon in as has been playing well down that side
Bench
Matty-has had plenty of the players in the leagues pants down
when given the opportunity. Sometimes you're not in the more
physical games enough though.
Kev-You're possibly the most frustrating player I have ever
played with mate. Bags of pace, a great first touch, you strike
a ball with such ease....but for some reason don't get involved
enough when we play.
Rossi- Think you would play more but things just don't come off
for you on a Sunday. You do everything right in training and are
nice and strong but for some reason on a Sunday it just doesn't
work for you. Might be an age/confidence thing. I like playing
with you for some reason.
Me-Because I want to play every week and have a big enough head
to put myself in the first team every week when/if I ever get
fit.
Anth-Has looked good when he has come back in.
Macca should be in the starting 11 I just cant pick anyone to
drop on current form!!!!!
I've also got to the bottom of this and realised I've left Jakka
out of my second team....How many players have we got!!!!
People I've left out which I think if your naming your starting
16 you should have to justify....
GK- Have been sneaky sneaky all season so why start naming one
on the bench.
Andy- You've had lots of game time this season and have done ok.
I think its time someone else had a bit of a run as main sub
on(which youve obviously worked hard to do). You always give
110% obliviously you should not be emitted from the squad lol.
Have I left anyone else out????
Is a hard job for Dan to do and lets be honest anyone who isnt
dissapointed with not playing on Sunday shouldnt be playing.

No wonder I'm struggling for confidence when I keep getting told
I'm not playing as well as last year , cheers for the boost lads
;)
But seriously lads I know I should take it as a compliment and a
challenge to keep improving, and at start of the season it took
me a while to get back up to speed but have I really been that
bad ? A man can get a complex you know

I don't know wether you will take some constructive critisim
from someone like me paul but I've been able to get the view
from the sideline and I think the general view is that wen you
first came to the club you enjoyed a nice 'hollywood' ball and
it didn't work a lot of the time and gives teams a chance to
break, end of last season you started passing simple and your
game improved 100%,everyone could see that, and for some reason
you have reverted back to hollywood a bit. The simple football
is better mate, more effective, because we all know your a
fantastic footballer with good feet and the abilty to beat
anyone with the ball at your feet on your day.hope that helps
you bud ;)
