Starting XI vs. Sunderland Ashdown
By: Paul Mac Date: November 7, 2011, 11:47 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Right Lads
Back to the bread and butter on Sunday
Three points up for grabs against Ashdown after a couple of
losses in cups. Lot's of things learnt in the last two games and
a few people staking a claim for a place in the starting line
up.
So in your opinion what XI do we go with?
For me it's a hard one and one I will take a bit of time over so
I'll leave it to somebody else to get the ball rolling
Definitely don't envy Dan this weekend

Burnz
Jimbob Ian Zander Lee
[Leon Grey Paul Dotty
Hally Beast
Ad pick mesel in goal but fuk tht!!!!
Dunno who's missing but thts the team ad go for at the minute.
After Anths display Sunday its hard to keep him out of the side
but think this is our strongest team week in week out.
If Jimmy Mac was back id try and sneak him into the midfield but
from wht a heard Sunday hes dying the black sack!!!!
Just my opinion.

im injured but will still be there supporting and my starting
line up would be
Burnzy
jimbob ian zander lee

macca
matty grey paul mc dotty
gibbo
providing macca is fit this is what id go with
jimbob - always preffered him as a right wingback ever since we
played fc easington and had a steamer
ian - had abit of a tiif with him sunday about playing the
offside shite and still dissagree now but still one of our best
centrebacks on the day
zander - him and ian are the best partnership weve ever had at
the back end off and the form hes on theres no doubt for me
lee - sorry lee but a couldnt leave you out of back four and
this is what you got but if i can do it with a right foot only
so can you ;)
matty - only basing this on the last time we played these he had
there lives down that right wing so hopefully same again
Grey - el capatain first name on team sheet as far as im
concerned rockin the captaincy with style
paul mc - gettin back to sumwere close to his best and improving
every game and if there was ever a chance he will add to his
goal tally it will be against these
dotty - spot on against these last time and seems to be settling
in more and more now those feet are his key and they will tear
these apart if theyre in working order lol
gibbo - again hes beside grey as first name on team sheet gratfs
his arse off and gets the goals and hatrick hero'd these last
time so who better to boss them about, only thing i would say is
stop trying to do too fucking much lol !!!

Burnsy,Anth,Jimbob,Ian,Zander, Dotty,Paul,Grey,Hally. Dan,Me.
Burnzy-tills was mint the other day but burnsy has been all
season,Anth-coped well against a lot of pressure on
sunday, jimbob and ian-jimbob is a good voice at the back and ian
is very consistant,zander-been class all season and warren
injured,dotty-could damage these down that right hand side, paul
and grey, think paul shud come in if jacka injured and grey been
on good form this season,hally-hard to pick between him and leon
for lm so I'm not sure.dan-dnt need to explain cos he's our best
player.Me- don't normally put myself in but a few of the lads
have had chances to start the past few weeks and I fancy my
chances against these and felt I had a decent game wen I came on
sunday

Well I think the team that won three weeks ago has to start as
it would be unfair not to as they were playing so well. The cup
games were experiments and to give people a run out which is
what they have done. Anth is probably the only person with
performances who could have forced his way in (Jakka aswell but
he also should be in the team for his pre injury performances
however I dont know if he is now injured!!!). The unfortunate
thing he is trying to get in the strongest part of our team. I
think everyone else who was given a chance did ok but nothing
outstanding from any of us. Now if I remember rightly....
.............Burns.................
JimBob/Ian/Zander/Lee
Dotty/Paul/Grey/Leon
.............Dan..................
.............Hally................
Burns- I dont envy anyone who goes in goal and the lads who have
gone in the last two weeks deserve a medal (ok Tilla you can
have the biggest one) But I dont think Burns has gone wrong all
season.
JimBob- I would arguee he has become our most consistant
performer both defence and attack
Ian/Zander/Lee- all have played well in partnerships. Think its
better if Lee plays LB as he can play with his left foot.
Dotty- Our best player on Sunday I thought and tecnically our
best player
Paul- I hate to say this but you were missed Sunday again. (I
dont really hate saying it) I dont know that we would have won
the game with you but we missed your composure on the ball you
could have slowed the game down which would have helped us.
Grey- Some of the lads were calling for you to be stripped of
your capatincy on Sunday! I say no keep you in. Your old and we
dont know how long you have left so lets give you a chance. ::)
Leon- Was hard on Sunday and you ran your pods off . Had been
playing well leading up to the cup games aswell
Dan-Hes shit but he goes to the meetings and fills the forms in
so he has to play!!!!!(Dan always puts a shift in but nearly
killed himself Sunday!!!)
Hally-Again put a massive shift in on Sunday and has been
playing really well. Theres lots of compitition for this
position but youve been the best and worked the hardest.
Jakka injured?????, Macca Dying is anyone else missing Sunday.
If any of the back four are missing or any of the wingers I
think Anth should play.

cant really pick a team for sunday as i didnt see any of the
lads play, so it would be unfair of me to do one.
just hope we dont get too complacent on sunday due to our
previous results against them. as we know what can happen.
i also am available for selection sunday aswell lads.

I'd pretty much agree with Robbo.
BUT I've said for ages that I think Hally is wasted up front on
his own. He won't mind me saying this, but he doesn't have the
pace to play off the last man and he's much better playing
deeper. Assists speak for themselves and he gets a shit load
from the left.

Ok here goes. Apologies to anybody left out. This is just my
opinion and I have been proved to be wrong before :)
Burnsy
Jim Bob Ian Zander Lee
Dotty Me/Gray Hally/Leon
Dan
Kev/Hally
As you can see I've wimped out a bit. I've based it on the
rumour that Jacka is injured???
So 4-4-2 makes sense, they are soooo slow at the back so Kev
might be a good shout.
Whatever the starting XI is we have to start fast and play at a
high tempo, go for early goals and get their heads down.
They're not a bad side but if we get on top of them early we
should be too strong
Really good chance to build again in the league here lads, could
really cement our place in the top 3
So up for this game after only 45 minutes in the last couple of
weeks :)
