Sorry Warren but I just can't agree mate. We all have different
paces and to be honest, you don't need to be running flat out to
get your fitness up. You go at a pace you're comfortable with.
We all still run the same distance, some just get there quicker.
I'd rather pace myself on the run and have enough left to go
again in the footy part.
Each to their own though ;)

the running shows on the pitch. from short bursts to getting
back and covering. before a played for the mallard a was the
unfittest person ever. still not a patch on some but am getting
there and thats all thriugh these long distant jogs! for me they
are improving the 2nd most important thing of football. if ya
cant run ya should be a golie. no offence to burnzy or anyone
cuz a know our keepers can run too! haaa

Sorry but common sense tell's you that if you only ever run at
teh same pace then your fitness levels will never improve
I for one had an awful level of fitness when I joined, my first
training session was embarrassing
but I have worked hard outside of mallard sessions to make sure
I can give everything for 90 minutes because at the end of the
day that's when it counts

mate, belive me its not determation to improve because i think
all of us are always trying to improve and get into the team.
but i think its the fact that its more demoralizing when your
running and you see the likes of anth etc just steaming ahead
and you think well why cannot i do that!

the fact is when u first done that jog round the stadium u were
fucked but u cant tell me it wasnt easyer the second time ?? why
??bocs ur body has been pushed that hard before so it knows it
can do it it will only get easyer and eventually ul find urself
getting quicker and quicker the important thing is to keep ur
head up and push urself to YOUR limits not anths or mine or
aynone elses and believe me it works u dont believe me test
urself time urself this wednesday then time urself the wednesday
after if u giv it ur all both runs i guarantee ul be faster by a
second or a minute its improvement and it will boost ur
confidence

That's why I said I went flat out in the last mile, just because
I wanted to empty the tank and push myself. Really benefit from
it like when I for runs outside of training and can kick up that
extra pace for the distance.
Gives me mega munchies the morning after n'all hahah
