Starting XI this Sunday
By: Paul Mac Date: October 26, 2011, 3:23 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Right then lads, bearing in mind what Dan has said about
Sunday's game this is your chance to say what you think the
satrting XI should be.
I think Sunday is a really winnable game so wouldn't like to see
too many wholesale changes (out of the two cup games I think
next weeks is the one to experiment in but that is my own
personal view) but I do think we have a squad strong enough to
win whoever plays
My XI would be
GK Burnsy (I am one of those people that thinks you don't change
your goalkeeper unless you really have to, especially the form
you're in at the moment)
RB Jim Bob ( Again best player last week so can't make a change)
CB Zander (Back at Centre Half just to stop him moaning)
CB Ian ( Mr Consistency)
LB Leon ( Better when coming from deeper and good in the air)
RM Matty ( Best player in pre season , so deserves his go)
CM Jacka ( Needs to find his fitness again so needs game time)
CM Gray ( The fact he has booked a shorter holiday to make sure
he was here for Sunday means for me he has to start, I wouldn't
like to be the person to tell him or his wife that they could
have had a longer holiday :)
LM Me ( Just cos I fancy giving it a go )
AM Dotty ( Think he would work well in the space between Mid and
Att)
{Think the Midfield can be quite fluid as we have five players
there who can play in a variety of positions and who pose a real
goal threat}
F Kev ( Kev you have the pace to frighten the **** out of any
team and on your day can be unplayable but just need that
consistency. If I were you I'd feel like I have something to
prove and this is your chance)
As far as I am aware Andy is at work. I have assumed Dan and
Macca are injured. To the rest I apologise but with Dan's sneaky
sneaky tactics everybody should get on the bench.
And finally REMEMBER the clocks go back on Sunday morning :)
See you all later

Were already in two quarter finals so think this is a cance to
get fitness up and give people a chance.
.............Burns..............
Anth/Ian/Zander/Jim Bob
Matty/Jakka/Me/Macca/Kev
..............Rossi...............
Burns as I don't know if Russaldo is there
Anth on his way back to fitness
Ian and Zander or Lee to be honest just any mix of the three
Jim Bob MOM last week
Matty felt a bit sorry for you comming on on Sunday as we had
stopped playing football by that time so you didn't get a chance
to do anything as you never really were given the ball.
Jakka to get back to fitness
Me because I want to!
Macca again to regain/test his fitness
Kev I know you don't particularly like it out wide but you can
cause all sorts of problems from there
Rossi- if Rossi got as involved in the games as you did in
training he could cause people problems.
Rossi would get plenty support from Macca Kev and Matty
Our bench would be sick!!!!!!
Dan, Warren, Andy all injured and Grey jet lagged lol.
The game after I would return to the side that won this weekend
as we were good just think this Sunday gives people a chance for
a run out.

starts a game and has missed a few now, jacka needs fitness bk
and looked lively last week, robbo deserves a game cos he's there
every week, hally back to lm cos he can do a job from there, kev
and rossi because I think they both need game time, I would have
liked a run out up top myself as I felt last week I was making
sum good curved runs and gettin past the defence, should have
grabbed a couple of goals for it.bt my shoulder still injured
and I played thru the pain last week bt I'm working anyway this

i wouldnt change much for this weekend to be honest, it might be
a cup game and have a chance to rotate but we played murton
twice last season and they showed how good they are then, would
be silly to field to much of a changed team and let them in with
the chance to take our confidence down with a defeat. with that
in mind though with the strength and depth in our team anyone
who is put onto the pitch will be able to get the result we
need, just pointing out if to many people are swapped round the
team might not click as well as it has in recent weeks lol
so i would go for
Burnsey
Jimbob Zander Ian Leon/lee
Matty Me Gray Hally
Paul
Kev
would like to see robbo and rossi get a run out aswell think
they are waiting patient and deserve some game time at some
point :) and anth to come on to get some fitness and test see if
he is game ready
Burnsey - best form we have seen from him and the lack of goals
we are conceding is showing that weekly
Jimbob - my mom last week deserves another start
Zander - continue to say it my player of the season so far ha
needs to keep playing
Ian - one of, if not the best signing we made in pre-season been
playing really well week in week out
Leon - really hit top form again lately and looks like he is
enjoying his football again which only benifits the team
Lee? maybes instead of leon for no other reason than its the cup
and be nice to see how he gets on out there instead of zander
haha
Matty- waited for his chance after scoring those two goals the
other week without saying a word be nice to see him start
Me- just want to get some more game time loved being back last
week :) ha
Gray- like having a new signing the form he has hit since he has
been made captain, goals and even an assist sunday if i am not
wrong :)
Hally - grafts as much if not more than most when he is on the
pitch and can pick a pass out which can change the game out at
any time
Paul - be nice to see paul just drop off the striker and have
the freedom to pick the passes he wants and be more creative
letting the cms do the gritty work and hopefully give him more
chances for goals
Kev - feel like he has something to prove and with the pace and
shooting ability he has would be the perfect chance for him to
get some game time and really shine through
just my opinion lads we all know it means nothing come sunday
haha dan will be having some sneaky tactics and game plans
already made up for sunday haha wouldnt be shocked to see a
2-2-2-4 formation or something come out of the dungeon with him
ha

Jacka is pretty much spot on with his team choice. I never
really like putting myself in my own team selections but it
can't hurt this once.
Burnsey
Jimbob Zander Ian Leon/lee
Me Jacka Gray Hally
Paul/Dotty
Kev
I think Dotty could work well in the space between midfield and
attack, and will get some good passing going with kev, but the
same goes for Paul, and i'm sure Kev could get on the end of
some of those hollywood through balls with the outside of the
boot ;)
Even though he's fast as shite i think we should try and get it
into his feet sometimes, as hitting it for him to run on to may
get predictable.
Whatever team we put out there will be 100% effort so let's just
wait and see and not under estimate our opposition. HAWAY LADS

am not one for posting teams on here but i think personally Dan
should give some of the lads who doesnt usually play there
chance, give them a go may aswell, turn up week after week and
all them deserve to play
