VS DENESIDE .. ..

Alright lads,
well i think it was a cracking game tonight and i would like to
say from my point of view it was a hard fought draw, but equally
deserved.
All players tonight will be giving dan a headache because there
was so many good performances throughout the entire squad, the
trouble is there is limited spaces, and 1 game left i think o
prove yourself great in the team.
iv been told they are a premiership team, and if thats true it
is a very good achievement, shame tho maybe we could have won it
aswell.
i would do a players player list, but there was too many ppl to
remember and i cba lol..
so well done to all the lads tonight, we most defo are
improving our game, just in time for the new season.

defensively it was excellent, Burnsy you were immense.. it's
been a good amount of games where you have saved our skin but
not just you i thought the centre halves Macca Grey Ian Zander
all give it everything to keep them at bay but it just kept
coming back all the time couldnt keep the ball at all in the
middle was really hard to get into there final third, need to
learn to keep the ball properly. Deneside are a decent team,
radgey bastards who don't give you a second to breathe on the
ball but we will play lesser teams than them and can take good
heart from tonight. Personally am canny gutted am not their
sunday cos these back to back games i thought av getting better
bit like what i was like at times last season but Leon's
definitely back and al do everything to fight for me place!!!
ha'way ya sacks!!!!

I think at times we played some good football but to be honest
when playing a side like Deneside you have to expect to be on
the back foot and to have to put a real defensive shift in which
means the attacking side isn't as strong and chances are few
All in all I think everybody can be happy with tonights
performance and result and it has made me really excited for the
start of the season

Only positives in this game in my opinion like,as burzny
said,these are a premier side and at times our passing around
them was quick and decisive.Defensivly we were awsome and burzy
had the best game ive ever seen him have,enough to make me think
he could be playing at a real top level of football (dnt tell
him that though because we need him lol).I felt there was a bit
critisim of me and hally for sum reason and i really dnt know
why as i thought personally that i was really happy with my
performance,they are a solid team to play against and i think if
me and hally played to the level we did yesterday then we will
have no problem in our league.
As paul said,its quick exciting the way we have been playing
lately,3.5.2 is the future and this season is gunna be a
belter,so lets get off to the best start possible with a massive
win.
Cumon the Ducks!!

Does anybody know if the Deneside will be playing their home
games on the pitch we played on last night?
I think it was ten times better than our pitch and the smaller
size really suited our game so if we had the chance and unless
there are problems with insurance etc I think we should use that
as our home pitch

The league site says they play at Peterlee.

I'm going to play devils advocate. From the games I've seen. I
think we play better on the bigger pitch. I know it's a nasty
surface but the football was much better on there (admitidly
against poorer opposition). If we are going to play 352 then we
want the pitch to be as wide as possible. Allowing our 3
midfielders to over run any body else's 2. Then when not in
possession we essentially play with 5 at the back. I know some
of the lads arnt fans of the 352 but on a bigger pitch it would
be much easier to play and with the quality of centre halfs we
will have I can't see it being a problem.

We cnt move pitches as council have assigned us the one we on
currently n the others r assigned to other teams bt i dnt knw
whos using em prbs kids teams,the pitch we on nw we knw it well
n use that to our benefit, n i agree the 352 wrls well jst need
to like robbo sed use more width and also iron wer people need b
wen defending
